His father, Naci (pronounced Naji), has been doing hair for decades and previously owned salons in McLean, DC and Great Falls. A somewhat piece, layered but still voluminous hairstyle. I was also able to squeeze in a quick wax. Their esthetician was efficient, barely felt it. Plus the oil she used smelled nice. I would have given the salon 5 stars except that I have some concerns about the operational management. So when I was getting my haircut Adriana mentioned a free manicure special was being offered and asked if I wanted one. I told her that I didn't have time (manicure I figured was 40+ minutes). When I walked out I saw the sign saying manicure or 20 min massage. I would have taken the massage. I asked if I could get the service another time and was told it must occur same day. But when I made my appointment there was no mention of the special, so I could allocate the time. PLUS the sign said 20% off new client. I was charged full price despite being asked if I was new. And given the new client paperwork. So was it on me to ask for the discount? I believe if a salon is making promotions then everyone in the salon should be clear on expressing them to the clients. If it requires a script then one should be provided. It was my fault for not reading the sign when I arrived but I was running late. So didn't stop to read it. While I love my haircut, I am concerned about the management style.
