Throughout the pandemic, I had my hair bleached 3x at home, box-dyed it nearly jet black, and then did bleaching & toning once again at salon (mediocre experience but we don't talk about her). The damage done to my hair in about one year's time was evident and it took an immense toll on my self-esteem. This summer, I decided to treat myself and had my hopes on achieving a beige blonde color. I reached out to multiple local hairdressers and did a few consultations but as others before me have mentioned, no one was nearly as receptive and understanding as Mat was. He listened to all of my concerns and addressed each one -- the proof is in the pudding! -- and made every second of the multiple-hour experience truly enjoyable. He was never condescending or annoying, unlike other hairstylists I've met/worked with. He constantly works to make sure you are comfortable AND happy with your hair.
