On the day of my appointment, we reviewed the plan again and I was told it would take about 4-5 hours. Instead, the service took 7 hours and extended past closing time. The haircut I requested was never completed. only a minimal trim was done. From the front, my hair looked similar to how it did before the appointment, but I wasn't shown the back before leaving. Once I got home, I realized the results were far from what I had requested and not properly blended AT ALL. The balayage was not done, the color was the same tone I had walked in there with originally, and the haircut was never completed. I contacted the salon the next day, and they agreed to fix it. However, communication throughout the process was very poor. Each time I called, staff seemed unaware of my situation and attempted to schedule me for times that conflicted with arrangements already discussed. Because my hair was already compromised, I repeatedly requested a different stylist who specialized in color correction. Despite asking multiple times, they initially kept trying to assign me to the same stylist. After 3-4 requests, I was finally assigned someone else. They assigned me to Kat and I was told she would contact me on a specific day to schedule, but she did not. When she eventually reached out later than promised, she said she would move another client to fit me in and follow up to confirm; however, she never did. I waited a full week for the appointment she had mentioned and ultimately had to call the salon myself. Throughout this entire time, I did not feel comfortable wearing my hair out due to how bad the results were, but I remained patient because they had agreed to fix it. I was also repeatedly asked to adjust my schedule or call off work to come in on their availability for their mistake, despite clearly explaining multiple times that my original appointment was booked on my day off and I needed the same accommodation. At the end of my initial visit, I paid $450 including tip for results that were not what was discussed. I also tipped at the time of service, based on their assurances that any issues would be taken care of and corrected. After about three weeks of trying to resolve the situation, I was only refunded for the service which was $380, not the tip. By that point, I had to go elsewhere and pay significantly more for a full color correction. something this salon was responsible for plus also pay and tip another stylist. While the staff was polite, the lack of communication, failure to follow through, and overall handling of the situation made this a very frustrating and disappointing experience. I would not return or recommend this salon based on my experience.

However, upon arrival, I was met with several concerning issues. There was only one stylist on duty, and she not even close to finish with her customer. I waited 90 minutes for her to finish. Before my hair was washed, I inquired about the products that would be used, as I am particular about maintaining my hair with professional-grade items. To my surprise, the stylist presented products I had never heard of, and when I voiced my concern, the other stylist (who arrived 45 minutes late for her appointment) openly laughed. My stylist then offered to use Mane and Tail or Head & Shoulders and questioned my objection to them being labeled as professional products. I began to feel apprehensive about the trajectory of the appointment. The situation further deteriorated when the stylist washed my hair using cold water, struggling to get the temperature to a comfortable level. Still, I remained patient. After shampooing, we returned to her station where she prepared to blow-dry my hair. I asked why, as I had clearly requested "flat twists" and shared a photo during the booking process. Not knowing when she would return, I began detangling my hair myself. I asked the other stylist for a wet brush; she appeared unfamiliar with the term and later informed me none were available. When I requested sectioning clips, none could be found. I ultimately had to use dusty rubber bands from a shelf to section and detangle my own hair. I informed the remaining stylist that I would be leaving once my original stylist returned. I offered to pay for the shampoo service. She contacted the salon owner, who arrived ten minutes later--still before my stylist returned. I explained the situation, only to be met with a smug "Okay, have a nice day" in response. This experience was not only disappointing, it was deeply unprofessional. Charging high-end salon prices while using subpar products and providing disorganized, dismissive service is unacceptable. I left feeling disrespected, frustrated, and inconvenienced. Clients deserve transparency, respect, and professionalism--especially when paying premium prices.
