I walked into Hair Cuttery this morning without an appointment requesting a butterfly haircut, and a blowdry. They let me know that the next availability would be at 10AM, to which I accepted. I also want to throw out there that a few years ago I had a horrible experience at a different salon and since then I've been terrified to get my hair cut. When I returned, I was greeted by my stylist named Brianna. I was so happy to see that she was a fellow long-haired baddie, just like me! It made me comfortable that she had very long hair because I felt as though she understood I didn't want to cut too much and how attached I am to it. She was explaining everything she was doing as she was doing it, which I appreciated so much! She showed me how much she was gonna cut off, and even though I was so scared, I trusted her. I am so glad I did! She gave me the haircut I wanted, my hair feels thicker, and it looks healthier. She really did her thing! I mean just look at that photo I took. She was working it! Then the hairdresser asked if I wanted to cut my hair shorter. That is when I left. Needed to take my elderly father to get a haircut and figured Haircuttery is a good place for a decent price. We goto this Haircuttery in Plantation and met with the hair stylist, Andrea, who took him immediately without and appointment. After about 15 minutes the haircut was complete and it looked pretty good and he was satisfied for a mere $30.00 plus tip. I needed a last minute blow dry for a work trip. I was randomly paired with Tazz, and it was perfect. He educated me on products he used (which I love and wasn't trying to sell me), and it was the best blowout I've ever had. I even have a membership to a local blow dry bar, but they didn't have an evening appointment available. I got so many compliments on my hair. The blowout lasted overnight, next day on a 3-hour train ride and was still looking spectacular for my evening event. I will definitely be coming back. Another bonus was getting in for the blowout at 8pm. The offering of these later appointments is so appreciated. Tazz, you are a rockstar! read more

I got a deluxe blowout and cut with flat iron added on. I showed a reference and was adamant about wanting to keep length in the back, add face framing layers in the front, and taking considerable length off my bangs. Hair dresser was friendly but after seeing my reference said she couldn't add layers only in the front like I requested but would try to keep my length while still cutting off dead ends. After she cut my hair I could already tell it was going to be shorter than I'd like but I was willing to compromise because at least all the dead ends were gone. She agreed to cut "face framing pieces" but the end result didn't reflect the face framing pieces we agreed on. (Results are not close to what I wanted at all straightened or my natural texture) There are no layers or "face framing" pieces in the front. My bangs were only trimmed and also don't reflect the results I wanted (She chose to cut my bangs while they were straight and they are still not as short as I wanted). While the cut is not a "bad" haircut, it isn't what I requested. I say this all to warn those thinking of going to this location, If you are interested in a specific cut that may be outside the "norm" either be persistent about what you want or go to a different salon. Definitely friendly staff but this place is only for very basic cuts. read more

My sister came here for a reasonably priced haircut, $25. Hair dresser Ali asked her if she wanted her hair blow dried, my sister said sure. An increase in charge was never mentioned. By the time she went to pay the bill was $74 with a 20% tip. The customer service was not great to begin with, but this is completely unacceptable. On the app a haircut with blow dry is $35. Why was a blow dry $38, with a haircut that costs $25 alone. A "signature blowout" is also for highly textured hair, her hair is straight and has a silky texture. At this price, she could've gotten a high end hair cut. read more

She didn't know me or my hair and I would like to complement her on doing her best to provide excellent salon services and also make me feel comfortable as a new customer. I've popped in from time to time for amazing last-for days blowouts. Last weekend I took the plunge for color, after going to the same place for almost ten years! Felt like the other stylist got a little lazy with me. Katie delivered rich dark chocolate locks....amazing. And she's young, which means surely she'll only get better! Before, my super resistant grays would laugh, and pop right through. Not this time! Also, her blowouts are the best..and last forever. Plus, she's being mentored by Veezie, and..... Veezie is a wonder! Unparalleled knowledge of her craft, truly owns her work....she also cut and styled my daughters hair. Bangs for the first time! So beautiful. The next weekend I asked if she would show me how she did it so I could improve when I style her hair, and she gladly obliged! Who does that?? Don't go to Genny. Went in for a 1in trim, and left almost in tears with hair about 4in shorter and what will probably be bruises on my arms from her poking and pulling me. I could add much more (including how when I told her not to cut anymore off she told me I couldn't understand and kept going), but there isn't any point. 15 min appt from hell. I went yesterday for a hair cut , the woman who cut my hair said that she knows how to do it and do fade it but she messed up with my hair she made like a Mohawk and the another girl with glasses she tried to fix it , but it was too late and she had to shave all my hair. I wanted to get the signature cut with classic blowout for my daughter who gets her haircut there all the time. They said my daughter's hair was too long and hand to charge me the deluxe price (basically $20.00 more). Apparently, anything below the chin is an up charge. What? I've had her hair cut there many times before and never had them say this. I told them no, I wanted to pay the classic price because her hair isn't that long. They asked if it was thick...no. Just had my haircut here and had a phenomenal experience. I had called prior to see if I could come in as a walk-in, and they were able to facilitate a last-minute appointment with no difficulty. Breonna was my hairstylist and she was super friendly, professional, and skilled at her work. The entire location was kept very clean, everything was constantly being sanitized, everyone wearing masks, and overall a friendly environment that I look for when getting a haircut. I was in need of a hair cut since quarantine happened. I had to make an appointment, which was super easy. I was assigned to this girl named Brianna Lewis. She was super sweet and talked to me the whole time. When she was cutting my hair, she gave me exactly what I wanted and made sure it was perfect. If you ever get her just know you're in good hands. I'm a little picky when it comes to my hair and I'm very shy. She kept checking in and we'd go a little shorter until I was confident in where we stopped.
