I decided to check this place out after looking for several months for a hair salon that's near me. The reviews definitely encouraged me to come as well. As soon as I stepped into the salon, I was greeted by the loveliest people. At first I was a bit nervous since I had never cut my hair this short before but from looking at prior reviews and photos, I felt like this place was the best choice when it came to what I wanted done. Before taking a seat, I spoke with Taylor who was very kind and even showed me the hair style I wanted on a fellow co worker of hers and seeing how well it had been cut and done, made me super excited to cut my hair in that type of style. Furthermore, the entire process was quick and painless! She even offered to have my hair curled which is something I never do so I went ahead and accepted it. Made an appointment, and no one ever mentioned that their business address was wrong on Apple Maps. Only when I called from their old address (obviously not finding the place) did they acknowledge there was a possibility it was wrong. Then they told me it was "5 minutes away": it was not. As I am driving the 15 minute difference, they call me to cancel my appointment, and their next opening is in a week. Not your customers fault. Very disappointed. read more

My daughter Andrea was hired by owner Tammy back in October of 2021 after hearing about the job from a previous stylist that no longer works at her Davie salon now. She also had her hair done twice there. Which came out the best when Lizzy did it mermaid Red The job position was described as a salon assistant for busy salon. The duties explained to her was: Shampooing hair; doing foils and when not busy; dishes; sweeping; laundry & light cleaning. She was told she didn't need any experience and they knew she had no desire to be a stylist at the time of hire. Tammy told her to start off she could hire her off the books for $9 an hour plus she would make some tips. Andrea jumped on the job even though it was less than minimum wage with no guarantee for tips because she had a 2yr old son at the time who's father past away and she needed the money to support their needs. When she first started working it seemed like a happy fun family environment as they describe and show in pics. Which is why she continued to work there all this time and did anything they asked of her. Even duties outside of Shampooing etc.. Such as walking trash to dump; mopping ; putting stuff around customers hairline (so they don't get stained); toning; brush out, answer phones on occasion; made some appointments, filling, cash out a few times, greet people when got the chance, get them coffee or water, dust/clean, inventory in the beginning and ANYTHING else they asked for. She did the best she could and was told many times over the last almost 11 months even up until the day she contacted Tammy last month to be put on the books what a wonderful job she did. Only was told maybe to try to greet more and and they needed someone to answer phones. Which is why they say they were hiring someone else to just do that. Then all the sudden after Andrea asked Tammy to be put on the books she decides to tell her that (even though she told her a few months prior she would and to let her know when she was ready) that she could not and has to hire someone else. She could stay until finds something else but she won't put her on the books!! Like wow. My daughter needed to and was assured upon hire a few months after and not long ago whenever she was ready or needed. I even got on the phone and spoke with the owner Tammy and she told me Andrea did great but that there was no future for her there since she wasn't going to become a stylist. Which was never told to her mattered or was a requirement. She went onto to say she needed someone for the phones etc... No one ever said or would have said anything had she not asked to be put on the books that once they hired someone else she was gone. So naturally she felt used; lied to and stupid for thinking the owner or stylist family cared. She seen real quickly that did not and was fake two faced like they are behind their customers backs when they talk crap complain. It's sad the owner didn't even reply when she text her how she felt and none of the girls she ran around serving like Cinderella called to see if she was Ok. Just not a place I would ever suggest working at or getting hair done at bo matter how talented the stylists maybe. Management owner is poor with communication and they are two faced. I pray they learn from this and are more clear hiring the next person. Also hope they learn not to make fun of long time customers and remember they are the reason they are in business!! I gave a two stars for the good stylist but that's it; otherwise they would get a 0!! read more

Taylor messed up my hair. I'm a new mom and on a budget. She charged me 250 for an "ombre# my hair was burnt orange platinum yellow light brown and dark brown. I looked terrible. She flat ironed my hair. Don't salons blow dry now?? When I called to complain about the brass she said it was normal. I later Consulted my hair stylist friend and she said it's absolutely not normal. I want my money back since I had to have it corrected at a different salon I even tried to. First off, this place is a legit hidden gem! Found it while I was looking on yelp but it's up the street from my boyfriends house coincidentally! The prices are insanely reasonable and Danielle is amazing at what she does! I will for sure be coming back to the salon because I was treated like a friend and not a customer! Awful experience, would not ever recommend this salon. I've never written a negative review before, but I do believe that anyone considering getting a service done here should be warned. Bottomline is that there is little to no customer service or accountability for very poor service at this salon. I asked for a full blonde highlight with a root shadow to be a natural, brighter blonde for the summer. I left with my hair darker than when I came in from the thick, dark lowlights that were added, bleached white/damaged baby hairs and bleach spots. I can't even wear my hair in a ponytail and I'm a nurse. I would've never paid if I didn't leave the salon with wet hair (you live and you learn ). When I messaged the stylist on Instagram that I was unhappy with my hair and complained it was too dark, she told me to "strip it" so the lowlights SHE decided to add would come out... it was a huge red flag that she wanted me to strip the color she had just added, but I reluctantly agreed with the hopes my hair would brighten up. I also let her know I would try to resolve it her way, but may need to come in for a touch-up and she agreed. Fast forward 2 weeks and I am still very unhappy so I message her. She refuses to touch-up my hair like we agreed and tells me I will be charged for a whole other full highlight service if I want a touch-up. After exchanging a few messages back and forth and her condescendingly "educating" me on what a highlight is, I decided to escalate it to a manager. I called the salon 2 times over the course of a week and a manager was "never available". Finally I was able to speak with a manager who informed me she would need authorization from the salon owner Tammy to issue a refund. I sent Tammy pictures of my hair and expressed all of the above and she told me she could not offer a refund, but she would be happy to touch-up my hair... after all of the back and forth and difficult conversations over the past month, I let her know that I no longer felt comfortable stepping foot in the salon. I knew my name was being dragged through the mud for complaining. I knew this because while I was receiving my service several stylists, including my own, were speaking poorly about other clients. Calling them "difficult" and saying things like "we know how she is"... I get it, we all gossip at work, but in front of clients, extremely unprofessional. So then Tammy actually leaves me on read and I decide to dispute the charges. Unfortunately, I received notice today I did not receive that refund. Very disappointing. But I want to share my terrible experience to warn others! read more

I had been to this salon twice before and it was mediocre. I had made another appointment for this morning and I accidentally wrote down 11:30 in my planner instead of 11. I got a call from the salon as I was on my way there and apologized that I had made a mistake. I was told by the stylist that I had been seeing, Taylor, that she would not accommodate me anymore because this has happened more than once. That is an outright lie. I am very disappointed in the customer service of this salon. Taylor made me feel incompetent because I accidentally got the time wrong and I understand fully that it was my fault but to just tell me that she will not accommodate me anymore because of this one time is outrageous. I've been going to Bella Hair on and off for years, and it's my go-to place when my hair is begging for a change. It's in the middle of an older strip mall on State Road 84, but don't judge a book by it's cover! The inside is very feminine and cozy - not stuffy and industrial like so many other salons. The hairdressers don't wear uniforms, and it feels like your over a friend's house. Definitely recommend. read more

She applied Olaplex with the color which it greatly helps the transition. She is very knowledgeable and she is not pushy when she suggest looks.
