Today I went to the salon for the awaken head spa experience. WOW!! From start to finish. This experience was absolutely incredible!! If you have never been to a head spa, I highly suggest checking this place out. Zoe was top tier!! She asked all the right questions to make sure your experience is what you want it to be. She made me comfortable with a "get to know about you" kind of chat at the start of the experience and then allowed me to just sink in and relax in silence. This isn't just for your head either!! She massaged my shoulders, neck, arms and hands as well. I left feeling incredibly relaxed almost thinking I shouldn't drive because I was so relaxed but thankfully Zoe gave me a great coffee recommendation that I went to get when I left. People go to a spa when they want to feel good, not belittled When I told them that I was unhappy with the results of my hair cut (which is a huge step for a people pleaser), I was told multiple reasons why I should just be happy with it instead of doing the right thing and offering to fix it. I always go to Livy, and she does a wonderful job! I've tried several places in the area. All for a women's cut. They're the best by far! Livy is very communicative and helps me understand what I like about haircuts, and to know what to ask for. Scheduling is a breeze, even when last minute, and the result is always beautiful. I've also had my nails done with Shellac (also by Livy) and they turned out beautiful. It's a relaxed place to go and enjoy some time pampering yourself and feeling your best! read more

Thank the lord Jeebus I was referred to a while ago. I went back today after getting an absolute hatched job at a different salon. Lauren Jay did the absolute best she could do to stop it from looking like I was Heman. Lauren is also extremely kind, compassionate, and seems to really love what she does for work. She's new too so go see her! Or really anyone here. They're all hip and stylish and don't have scissor happy staff (ya know, the ones who love to ratchet long hair). They offer a HUGE array of different beauty treatments. Would be purrfect for a girl's day with friends or an event. read more

I visited Hair Daze in Dover,New Hampshire after moving from Georgia in July 2022. I had no idea what to expect. I brought a picture of me from 1999,my favorite hair cut. Lindsey cut my overgrown long hair systematically and very respectfully approaching all the lines of my favorite haircut! Then she kindly asked if she could make a suggestion...she wasn't comfortable with the 90's bowl cut....so I was happy to go into the year 2022. I'm constantly looking for a new place to get a mani/pedi, so I tried Hair Daze because their prices seemed reasonable...let's just say I won't be going back! The girl that did my nails was very nice and was completely honest about the fact that she hadn't been doing nails for very long. Whenever I move to a new area, it takes me forever to get up enough courage and make an appointment at a local salon. Because I can't stand the stereotypical atmosphere of salons (think cliquey, sorority girls grown up), I'm afraid of my hair being butchered, and I definitely have hard time trusting anyone with my brows (I've had too many leave my brows pencil thin). Brianna perfectly shaped my my untamed brows AND my skin didn't breakout from the waxing, I always breakout after having my brows waxed....and Jamie gave me the most beautiful haircut, she took the right amount off my dry damaged ends, shaped my hair perfectly, and fit the cut and style right into my beauty routine. I worked with Cathy and the girls at Hair Daze for my wedding and could not have been happier. Cathy was easy to work with during the planning phase and helped guide me through the process. When I came into the salon for my trial I felt welcome and relaxed. Cathy listened to what I wanted to wedding hair and what I didn't. She totally nailed the perfect style for me and my dress on the first try. I had been worried that although I had been growing my hair for a full year, it still wasn't long enough for the style I wanted. Cathy had the solution in a high quality synthetic hair piece, she found the perfect color match to my hair color and I couldn't even tell where my hair stopped and where the clip began. I also worked with Becki for my makeup. I chose the airbrush makeup because it creates a flawless finish and holds up better than regular makeup. Becki understood that I wanted a classic look but also insisted in applying the makeup in a way that would look perfect when I was at the front of the church and in my pictures. Even though I thought it was a little heavy initially I am so glad I listened to the professional, my pictures look amazing and I received nothing but glowing compliments on how beautiful my eyes were on my wedding day. On my wedding day itself Cathy, Becki and Ang all arrived at my house on time and ready to go. They each scouted out places with the best lighting and space for them to do their work, discussed a quick plan with me about who in the bridal party was getting what for hair and makeup and what order girls should be worked on and then jumped right in. All three ladies were fun and happy- they understood that they were a part of one of the most important days of my life. When sitting in either the makeup or the up-do chair each member of my bridal party, including me was relaxed and having a good time. Me, my two sisters, mother, friend and soon to be step daughter all got hair and makeup done and were every happy with the end results. The girls finished everyone on time and had packed up and left with plenty of time for the party to finish getting ready. The shellac manicure lasted all of 2 days, and looked like it was done by my left hand. The woman doing it was underlyingly rude and I really didn't appreciate that. It also took forever because she kept stopping to answer the phone, so long so that the nail appointment after me came in, waited, and then was running late for something else. Every salon I've ever been to, if they don't have a receptionist, has an answering machine saying something like "Sorry, but we're with a customer! Leave us a message and we'll get back to you!" Maybe they should invest a few minutes into that. I'm sure the hair dressers are fine at what they do, and the place was lovely, but the service I experienced will keep me from going back. read more

This is my favorite place to go for everything from hair, to facials, to my lash lifts. From the moment you walk in the woman at the front desk, (I think her name is Laureen?) always greets you with a smile and makes you feel so welcome! All the girls are so friendly as opposed to salons where you have to be a regular to get the time of day. Their esthetician is such a pleasure to work with and knows so much about skin and was really helpful with working towards my skin goals! Her lash lifts not only look amazing but I am terrified of people messing with my eyes and she's just so gentle and good! Elyse does a great job with highlights. Had a shellac manicure done for $15 (half off) because I had a Groupon, and the lady doing it was polite and engaging. It's been almost three weeks and it still hasn't chipped, knock on wood. I regularly get Brazilian waxes here as well -- they are thorough and relatively quick, the pain is tolerable, and they last a while. I will keep coming here. read more

The shellac was horrible! After three days it started peeling off like cheap nail polish. The "two week manicure" lasted only six days before I had to completely remove it. I would go back to have them re-done but their customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

I've been getting my hair done by Linda for about 15 years now. Wherever she goes, I follow. I've lived in CA for about 7 years now and I still haven't found anyone as good as her out here. I took my mother and I for a spa day for our birthday last weekend and we had a fantastic time. Becky Qualls was phenomenal to us both, she gave us Beverly facials and by the time we were done we were both glowing and refreshed. I nearly fell asleep during her massage she was so good. I usually see her every four weeks to get body waxing done. She is the only person i trust for waxing, not only because of the wax she uses but because she is very efficient and an utter perfectionist. She made our experience very relaxing and is a lot of fun to be around. My mom is usually very tentative when it comes to salons because she is extremely fastidious when it comes to these things and she was well impressed. And that says a lot as she is not the easiest person to win over. We both absolutely recommend Becky if your gonna stop by Hair Daze and have her in high regards! read more
