When I found Todd and Helen...I was in my twenties and my hair was breaking and crap...the staff there fixed it and made it healthy again. That's going back over 20 years ago! When's the owner sold the place and moved down south.... The staff migrated out to Oakwood and I followed. I have since moved out of state and have had alot of bad experiences. I was basically told it was my hair ...and my hair was breaking at an alarming rate. The color was terrible too...being so many places passed the blame on my "difficult" hair...I almost believed it lol I decided to try one more thing....I searched for the old staff at the second place and found the salon closed because the owner passed away and had to do some searching to find them again. Happily..I found out nece recently bought this place not too far away. She's a new salon owner! I have known her since she was practically a kid ;) No lie and Quite literally..I drove to nyc (five hours) and in a last ditch effort, got it done by my old hairdresser. Melissa...who I have known since she was a shampoo girl ;) it's like walking back in time as far as my hair. Literally. It will take time to restore the color... And what's broken must grow...but my hair feels soo much better and not even a little breakage...none. You can tell the root area is very very different as far as health and there is so much promise. I wish I could package these people up... Since this salon is new to everyone else..I wanted to share my experience because it runs deep and goes back and if you have any hesitation...you are in good hands See you guys in a few weeks after another awful drive :)

I believe that the prices in Most salons are very high end but one needs to understand that this is 2025 and EVERYTHING IS WAY HIGHER IN PRICE ESPECIALLY IN NEW YORK CITY. You can go cheaper when you are just looking for a mediocre job but you get what you pay for and my hair is my shining star so I will have to pay for excellence. For the haircut and dying my roots with a blowout came out to about $200 dollars plus tips. If I was to have my entire head also highlighted could easily cost me $200 bucks more. Can I/ will I spend $400.00 every 3-4 months and approximately 200 dollars every 6-8 weeks for maintenance? I don't know but they do a very good job so I will have to see my financial situation at the time.
