Our last visits have been a vast improvement, and we think they have moved up to a 4 star. They seem to be fully staffed at the moment. My wife actually got them to answer the phone today! Saturday. June 7, 2025. Around noon…read more I had an appointment at the Enchanted Hills Walgreens for a Tetanus-Diphtheria shot for 9:50 am. When I arrived the tech told me that they were out of this vaccine. I asked why it let me book an appointment if it was out of stock. She told me the appointment database doesn't link to what they have in stock. I think this is ridiculous because people could be wasting time, gas and energy booking appointments for non-existent shots! The tech called the Walgreens in Bernalillo and was told they had the TDAP in stock. I drove there and spoke to Eileen, a pharmacy tech. She explained they weren't doing walk-ins, but they usually do. I asked if they had any openings. She said I would have to check online. I told her my phone wasn't working and if she could book an appointment for me. She said no. I was the only one in line and they weren't busy. She was extremely rude and short with me. She told me to stand aside as another customer had walked behind me. I talked to the manager and assistant manager about Eileen. They told me that there was no pharmacist on duty and that they didn't have the vaccine in stock. So either the tech at Enchanted Hills lied to me or the tech they talked to on the phone lied. The manager even called the Walgreens on 528 and Southern and they were out of this vaccine. To sum up, it seems like all Walgreens do not regularly update their stock of vaccines, the staff are rude and will lie to you, and you will probably waste your time and gas scheduling appointments for non-existent vaccines. A horrible, horrible joke.

I was prescribed antibiotics from an urgent care center. I had it called in to this Walgreens and…read morereceived a text right away that they were working on it. When I got there I checked in and gave the clerk my new insurance card. Several minutes later I got a text saying it was ready so I went to the counter to retrieve the prescription. The clerk waved the bag with my prescription in front of me and said my insurance had not updated them on the price of the prescription so she could not release it to me. She asked me to wait. About 10 minutes later she called me up, said they still had not updated the price and that she could not release the prescription. She said I should go home; that she would call me when the insurance had updated them. No call came after 5 hours so I called my insurance, who said they did not have any contact from Walgreens about my prescription and if the computer systems weren't talking to each other Walgreens could have called them about the order to get the price. I called Walgreens and spoke with a different clerk who said since the price wasn't up I could pay $11 out of pocket for the prescription. I said yes, of course that was what I wanted and why had I not been given the option when I was there earlier? He said some people get angry having to pay out of pocket. When I picked up the prescription the original clerk told me she was trying to be considerate to my wanting to save money. My generic prescription copay is $10 so she had saved me $1 and it had resulted in my having to wait 5 hours with an active bacterial infection. All the techs I dealt with at this location either weren't thinking or didn't care.
