Picking up prescriptions is a nightmare. There are usually 25 people in line, at least. There's an average wait of over an hour to talk on the phone with someone in the pharmacy. Most of the pharmacy customers are seniors. The cashiers aren't able to assist with ordinary questions. They don't have the information or authority. There's no one in the store who's accountable for ordinary questions. They refer people to the website. E.g., do I need an appointment for a Covid vaccine? The website is useless. Also, my bank & credit card are from California. They've NEVER been accepted in the store. I've complained. I've changed my pharmacy and I don't shop there anymore for sundress. read more

Overworked staff that do not have time or priority to answer the phone! I was continuously put on hold while trying to check on a prescription. I remained on the phone while I went to the store. I watched the pharmacy tech push the button on the phone to keep me on hold. My phone loged 1 hour of continually being placed on hold. When I spoke to them, they said they were too busy to answer the calls. I understand being busy but communicating that to the customer and asking them to come in would be appropriate. Instead their rudness when confronted made me never want to return to their store. They need customer service education to prevent others from never returning and possibly even leaving the Walmart Pharmacy Brand for the competition!! I deserve at the very least an apology especially after the thousands of $$ my family provides Walmart each year!! read more

Pharmacy staff is ALWAYS rude and slow. They NEVER answer their phones so you have to drive there to ask anything in person and they constantly lie about what they have in stock to save limited meds for their "preferred" customers - (told to me from another pharmacist). The pharmacy is terrible. My mom and I do not live in Santa Fe and I went to the dermatologist- got two prescriptions. The doctor sent it at 11am and we were waiting in line for an hour to pick up at 2:30. The employee at the window was very rude and was not sorry at all for how long everyone in line was waiting. (there were two lines and about 5 cars in each) Took about another 15 minutes to only get 1 of my prescriptions and they could not give us the other one until tomorrow. We are only in town for today and they were very inflexible about the situation. I highly recommend to not go here. Rude employees. Terrible service. My insurer (Express Scripts) made me change my pharmacy from Smith's to another in their network. I give high marks to Smith's. But Walgreens can't understand how to bill Medicare for covered prescriptions I've been taking for years. This could cost me hundreds for just one medication. I guess it's the sign of the times. Seems like every time I get a new prescription here, they don't have any and it takes days to get the meds in stock. I recall up to a few years ago, Walgreens would check other stores and they would ship the meds to this store. Longest pharmacy line ever! It literally ran down the side of the store, and almost to the beginning of the aisle. Pharmacy techs usually get a lot of hate because old people with difficulty getting scripts filled want to blame the pharmacist rather than themselves for forgetting to bring the correct script in. Having said this, I watched a pharmacists assistant tell this little old lady who could barely stand with her cane that she needed to stand at the back of this unendingly line to get her follow up booster shot. The little old lady told her she had scheduled an appointment for it and the technician just shrugged and pointed to the back of the line. read more

Wherever I lived I've been faithfully using Walgreens pharmacies for over 20 years. This pharmacy on Zia and St Francis is making me reconsider my patronage. Simple orders are not filled for 5 days. The pharmacy sometimes posts a paper on the drive through saying they'll close at 3:00 pm due to an employment shortage. If I call them they will put me on hold for an hour. This pharmacy is so dysfunctional. They are untrustworthy. read more

We got RSV vaccines at this Walgreens mid January of 2024. They charged us an administration fee that we should not have paid. I have placed 10 calls to here trying to fix it. I have placed multiple calls to my insurance and mail order perscription companies. I was informed that Walgreens did not submit it correctly. Apparently once it has been 7 days the store is unable to correct. I feel they were biding time until the 7 days were up. The people I spoke with were unprofessional and very rude. They took four days to fill a standard prescription. I get it--there's a staffing shortage, blah blah, but figure it out. I went into get a refill on my prescription, and It wasn't ready. Not only were the employees totally rude, but they made me wait for over two hours to actually get my prescription. When I finally got my order, they incorrectly gave me the pill form of the medication instead of the effervescent tabs. As someone who can not swallow pills, I immediately brought this to their attention. Since the order had already been filled, they refused to change my order. I called my dr. Immediately to tell them about the mistake. It turns out this was entirely the fault of the pharmacy. I am out both the money and the prescription that I am required to take for a heart problem. After of years of going to this pharmacy chain in both Montana and Washington I switching to a new pharmacy. This is completely inexcusable! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! read more

I would happily give this pharmacy zero stars. I watched an pharmacy employee eat his lunch and then handle pills with no gloves. As I write this review, I've been in line for 20 minutes. All I needed to do was drop off a prescription. I've been standing at the counter on another occasion for 5 minutes without even being greeted. I had to finally ask loudly if I needed to ring a bell or something and was greeted by the response of, no we don't have a bell. There were 4 people behind the pharmacy counter at that time including the employee who was eating his lunch and touching the medication. I'm not quite sure that corporate walgreens has any idea how pathetic service is here. They don't ever go over new prescription information either. Pathetic. Bottom of the barrel works here. I bought a half-gallon of milk on August NINETEENTH. After being VIOLENTLY ILL for four days, saw the 'sell-by' date on said milk was August THIRD!!!!! When I called the store they kept putting me on hold, transferring, and back around for 20 minutes. The next day I was told the manager, LEO was 'too busy' and would call me the next day. I have had the misfortune of trying this pharmacy multiple times over the past year. Although this pharmacy has had a few pharm techs that are very efficient and professional, this has been the exception. There seems to be a distinct lack of management leadership at this store with communication snafus and duplication or deletions of work. There is little formality or efficiency to drop offs or pick ups either in person or drive-thru and professional phone manners are totally non-existent. Customer management is also non-existent as I have had several customers break queue in front of me either on purpose because they do not want to wait or because they are confused about traffic flow. I have also had several instances of a script not being in stock and not finding out about it until I have waited 20-30 minutes in line. read more

This Reveiw is for the Pharmacy ONLY! Took in a Prescription new to area, have been on Medication for 10 years Chronic Illnesses. They said they had to order, went 5 days without medication. Went to pickup, said my old Pharmacy wouldn't answer their phone (Lie) and they had to verify I have taken it before. I called my old Pharmacy in another state explained and they thought it was odd but called. Then was told they had to verify with Doctor, then said all of that wasn't true once my Hubby went in and told them how ridiculous all of the run around was. Took in Prescriptions to be filled again, they said I should have called a week in advance, even though they promised to keep in stock, they didn't. They said had to order, went to pickup, they said I couldn't get it had to wait the extra 5 days, assured me it was there with my name on it. Went in again to get it & was told it just came in and wasn't ready, I WAS MAD. Then took in 3 prescriptions they didn't run on new Insurance. Asked them to run it & they said it didn't work because it showed other Insurance, new to state & ALbertsons (another lie). Then another person told me when I took another Prescription in that the ID was wrong. Said if I wanted receipts that I could send in for reimbursement I would have to pay more. Then I had Insurance call them & they said there was nothing wrong, Prescriptions went through fine. They regularly tell people they don't have meds for refills, sent a lady in a wheelchair (her mode of tranportation) elsewhere. They don't address you for as long as 15 minutes, yes you just stand there. They stand and talk and make people wait long amounts of time. Was told that they had to cut hours due to lack of business. I gave two stars just because every once and a while you will get the man in the pharmacy who is polite and helpful. Other than that though, the majority of the time it is someone who doesn't treat the customers with respect. Two of the last three times I have been there this month people in line have turned to the other people in line and commented on how rude the lady with short black/grey hair was (the rudest one). I went into this Walgreen's location a bit back just buy some small things I needed, once I was in line, behind about five other people, the cashier had to call up the manager. It took the manager over twenty-five minutes and three calls from the cashier to finally come to the register creating a lot of frustration among myself and other customers, most of which walked out; I tried to be patient. The manager was belittling to the cashier and acted annoyed that the cashier called her up. Once I was nearing the register I heard a customer check out and once the woman and her son left I heard the managers say to the cashier "she probably stole makeup, she always does." Along with overhearing more vile comments about other customers from a manager. My whole time in the store I only ever saw that one cashier who looked to be juggling five different tasks while trying to maintain a register, and when I did see a manger they were full of attitude, usually emerging from the back. Was never approached or asked if I needed help. When I tried to use my debit card the card reader was broken. I have never seen an establishment with such horrible management. I've had horrid experiences with the Pharmacy as well. I heard the woman in line directly in front of me ask for someone to be called to the Pharmacy because she said she had been waiting at the Pharmacy and never once was helped. Do yourself a favor, go to the other Walgreen's in Santa Fe, do NOT do your business with this location. I drive way out of my way just to take my business to a better Walgreens. read more

For sure, the WORST Pharmacy EVER! Staff is miserable. Customers have disputes at the counter at least 50% of the time! You will know, because you have to stand in line for absolutely ever to waited upon. The staff is rude. And I don't think the pharmacists are very good. I pick up scripts for my elderly family members and I wait patiently. The other day I waited about 35 minutes. They assured me I had all the Rxs, but of course, one was not there. For that, I had to come back and repeat the wait and hassle the next day. But on this day, the pharmacist said "the dosage on this prescription has been upped, so throw away all the old pills." I relay this to my mother-in-law who says, "that's been the dosage forever -- that's not a new dosage." So, it could be an honest mistake or it could be a ruse to have the patient need more frequent refills! Came back the next day and wait the endless amount of time, while EVERY SINGLE CUSTOMER ahead of me had a dispute with the staff! That's the norm. Finally, I get there and they say "oh, the Dr didn't renew the Rx." I said, why didn't you communicate that to us at some time? Of course, no answer, because ineffective, incompetent, rude service is the way they roll. Stay Away! We're moving ALL our prescriptions to another pharmacy. Don't know why we waited! read more
