They don't call it HairQueen LA for nothing!! This establishment has exceeded my expectations. My experience was nothing short of perfect. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. The team at HairQueen is immaculate. Very welcoming, friendly, and creative. The hair selection is TOP NOTCH, weather you want a wig, extensions, bundles etc.. They have it all. The owner is amazing. You have found yourself a forever customer. I will be back! Thank you HAIRQUEENLA!

I SUED! DO NOT BUY HERE! BUYER BEWARE! In July 2025, during a medical alopecia episode, I went in needing professional guidance and made that clear. Customers are allowed to try on only three wigs before being required to purchase or leave. In hindsight, that was a red flag. I paid $1,500 after being told the wig was "flat iron straight" and would revert to a texture closer to my natural curls once washed. That was not accurate. The hair remained thin and stringy straight regardless of washing. The wig did not match my skin tone, and it was too big. Visible scalp differences in color, knots, and just overall not it. Not it at all, especially for $1500. In attempts to "fix" it, the scalp was burned, my head was burned, and sections of the hair were burned off with hot tools. The wig was altered and never corrected. After multiple visits seeking resolution, I was informed through a store employee that the owner was offering another wig at half off. I did not agree to purchase another wig. The wig was removed by the business with the representation that it would be fixed. It was never returned to me. I was told to come in to meet with the owner. I waited upstairs for over an hour while he was downstairs filming with a celebrity, and he did not meet with or acknowledge me, but just left right after. A store and employee apologized on his behalf. Before filing suit, I attempted to resolve this through texts, phone calls, and letters. One of the letters I even sent certified mail. I received no response, acknowledgment, and because of this no resolution. The owner was served twice by the sheriff, and did not appear in court. On February 19, 2026, the Los Angeles County Superior Court entered judgment in my favor for $6,625 (including costs). This is public record. I would not buy here. There are many stores with great quality wigs at better prices. If you choose to purchase from this business, you have been warned. There are other people who have received judgments. This is not the first time, and it certainly will not be the last.

I was looking for new sew in weft extensions and had researched and called so many hair supply stores in the area. Every place didn't carry curly extensions which i found was a lot harder to find than straight. I called Hair Queen LA and they carried long curly extensions in both Indian and Brazilian hair. I drove over an hour to the shop and when i was there i had a great experience. The woman helping me was knowledgeable and patient as I made a big decision between the two hair types for sale. I ended up purchasing two bundles of Brazilian curly extensions and I absolutely loved them! They were smooth, shiny and had the perfect amount of curl and volume that I wanted. The price was reasonable and it was worth making the trip for the service. I have recommended other people to purchase their extensions from Hair Queen and I will go back if and when I need more hair.

If i could give zero stars I would. Condones child abuse. Allows Chrisean "Rock" Malone who is known for being a child abuser and neglecter to receive services. Allowed her to bring her severely disabled and malnourished son in as well as helped hide him in the back when a wellness check for him was sent there. Trilifing just like her ! It's a shame. She is known for starving her son who is nearly 3 years old , doesn't eat anything , survives off pediasure and does NOT have any type of feeding tube. He receives no medical assistance no therapy and has not seen a doctor since he was a month old. Shame on Hair Queen LA for condoning these sickening acts as well as allowing this sickening individual services.

This is the second time working with Julie and Lilah and it was once again a 10/10 experience, this time i came to get glammed up for my moms funeral and they made the experience amazing as always. Julie does makeup so well I decided to get it done the night before my moms ceremony. And Lilah is such a perfectionist I had her curl my hair for the next day. The wig itself is pretty good quality but it doesn't exactly match its price. My initial experience was great, but the removal process was horrible. I was very interested in trying out this place as I've seen so many promotions and videos online advertising. Sadly I will not be trying this place out anymore after I found out they let child abusers be serviced. I recently noticed they serviced a mother who drank alcohol publicly while pregnant and is now allowing that same women to bring her sick neglected child into the business. I was appauled at how much the hair dressers did not care and let the child be live streamed while being in distress. I heard the police was called and nothing was done and nothing was reported. Sadly this is not the hair place I will be choosing. I advise others to really think before you give your hard earned money to this salon. Wigs are cute, but not cute enough to witness and promote /service a child abuser on their platform! read more

I got my first sew in here and it was absolutely fantastic! I booked same day appointment, came in with hair that severely needed to be washed, and everyone was so sweet and accommodating. The girl who originally started my hair was very gentle with brushing through my previously braided hair, and took the time to wash my hair very thoroughly to protect my natural hair. With the sew in, they also used a net after I asked to protect my hair and limit tension, which took extra time but they were happy to do it. The space is also very clean, well lit, no drama, and overall chill. Definitely will be back anytime I'm in LA. read more

I'm appalled at what I witnessed on a live video of this place! They had a customer who is notorious for medically neglecting and abusing her special needs child there. The child was in distress and choking himself while the mother was just getting her wig installed and filming it! Worst part is.. police came to check on the baby bc of a call and this business helped her bring the baby to the back to "hide him" which first of all, innocent ppl don't do. Why would your first instinct be to hide ur child when police come in and u don't even know why or if they are even there for u. Secondly, that's aiding in child abuse! Helping her get away with it!! No one said or did anything about it! I could never go anywhere no matter how good that supports child abuse & neglect..Unreal. This business should've done more and spoken up to the police that she was trying to hide him and how he was in distress and she just let him crawl all over those floors and all that they have seen rather than stand their acting ignorant like they didn't see or hear any of it. Shame on the business and the "mother". Honestly disgusting and heartbreaking. I refuse to do business with a place like this and people should be aware. read more

Over paid for the wig and services and still they never posted my content as I booked the $800 for the model content smh I ended up posting on my Instagram but removing them from the tag tbh I'm really disappointed with ten quality of wig and promo the only reason why I ended up staying & getting it done was #1 the make up artist Stella was very kind and did do my make up as requested and Lilah the wig installer was able to accommodate my look and add one edge thank God !! tbh they lacked in consultation of the wig If I would've known I wasn't getting a full frontal I would've honestly took off and gone else were because for $650 I would've gotten the red hair wig I wanted and braided down and installed instead I ended up paying $525 for the wig and $300 more for the install and makeup which was supposedly, suppose to be included in the model booking On top of that it was a rainy day I drove from far which was an hour and a half just to be told they weren't inform of me coming and even tho I was talking to the owner over INSTA DM they definitely weren't as professional as seen on insta and it's really just a quick hack for insta clout the wig I bought started to have hair fall by day 3 and I have synthetic wigs that never sheded that bad till this day I reinstall them for less and the hair has never fell off my synthetics tbh I'm very disappointed with hair queen La the owner who never showed up and I truly commend the workers who were the main reason I even decided to go thru with my decision and shout to the installer Lilah and MUA Stella who honestly made me feel better even tho I regretted my decision instantly, regardless lesson learned I'm never coming here again it's really just a hype read more

Hair Queen LA gives top tier service! From the moment you walk in.. you feel welcomed and catered to. The owner and his team give efficient service! They understand hair care and hair texture. I was in need of a style that was closest to my natural hair texture. After my consultation, they suggested the "kinky straight" texture. The stylist installed 3 luxurious bundles, and the blend is to die for ...looks like my hair is growing out of my scalp! I also received a complementary make up service that was apart of their "Valentine's Day" special. I left feeling like superstar. From the moment I walked into Hair Queen, the energy was everything. Everyone there was so kind, uplifting, and just radiating good vibes -- it honestly felt like I walked into a glam squad sleepover where the only goal was to make you feel like the baddest, most beautiful version of yourself. I had the Genius Weft Install done by Princess Nicole, and let me tell you... she's a magician. I used Raw Indian Remy hair in 20-22 inches, and it came out flawless. The blend? Seamless. The energy? Immaculate. Nicole had such sweet, grounding energy and made the whole experience feel like self-care and transformation all in one. To top it all off, Jewel did my makeup and literally made me look like I had an IRL beauty filter. I felt like a princess -- no exaggeration. honestly, never again booked an appointment ahead of time but still had to wait 10-20 mins for my stylist to become available(?) and when she became avail she instantly pawned me off to a trainee. Trainee was sweet and attentive but obviously could've been helped by someone watching/giving tips/helping her. They were just like "oh you got this? cool." and just left her. Appointment lasted an hour longer than scheduled and made me 2 hours late to a different appointment. I got my hair done yesterday at 5:30pm and it's already sliding off. I could tell it wasn't tightly braided on in the first place... they had an attitude about me coming at that time and told me that they don't do hair this late but the website gives you the option to book until 6pm so if that's not how they do things then that needs to be changed so they aren't half assing people hair to get the fuck home. I've come here a few times spend a lot of money, but I will never return. 1. Poor Customer Service/Unprofessional Front Desk 2. They make you pay first so you have zero recourse if you are not happy they will not address your concerns as you have paid. 3. I've been going to Beki for I-tip extensions over the past 9 months. She's always been kind,…read moreaccommodating, and genuinely sweet- she even helped me out last minute after a bad haircut earlier this year, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, I've had ongoing issues with the quality and installation of the extensions. I was told the hair was high-quality European hair and sourced from the same supplier that top salons use, but in my experience, it didn't seem to be. The extensions tangled constantly, felt extremely dry and brittle, and were always breaking off even with daily moisturizing and careful maintenance. They also didn't hold styling for more than 24 hours. I often had to detangle them multiple times a day, and they became so matted after one event that I had to remove them myself after a hired hair stylist couldn't even detangle them. Each new batch of hair and install cost $1,500+, and I went roughly every 6-8 weeks for a $500+ move-up. I was replacing the extensions every 18-24 weeks, which I now realize is much more frequent than high-quality extensions should require. The beads were not installed in uniform rows- they were placed randomly across my scalp, including on the crown, which made them visible and limited how I could wear my hair. I went to another stylist for a second opinion, and she pointed out that the hair had 3-4 inches of split ends even though it was only about a month old. She also mentioned that the strands looked much thicker than my natural fine hair and might not actually be Remy or cuticle-intact. I also had ongoing color match issues. The sets were consistently too light and warm for my natural tone, which was especially noticeable on camera (my job requires me to be on camera frequently). To compensate, I had to repeatedly dye and tone my own hair to match the extensions. I eventually paid for professional toning because the warmth and lightness still didn't match. I don't believe Beki is intentionally misleading anyone- she's a lovely person and I think she means well. But I do feel the hair quality, color matching, and installation methods weren't worth the cost, especially considering how quickly the extensions deteriorated. I'm sharing this to help others make an informed decision. I wish Beki all the best and hope she looks into improving the quality of the hair she sources and the installation and color matching process, because her kindness and customer care deserve to be matched by better results.

*VERY REAL, NOT SPONSORED REVIEW* I needed hair last minute, and didn't have time to order from where I usually order Kendra's Boutique, so i saw this place locally. I read a few reviews, and based on the average of positive reviews.. I decided to give it a try. It had been so LONG since i've worn anything other than Kendras, (i mean like 5 or 6 years) I forgot about all the things that could possibly happen to your weave. YES, this hair is processed but It did take my color (jet black) just fine. Basic weave 101, any hair that offers an option of another color off jump is processed (in this case they offer black and natural ). YES, it tangles. I wear weave (brazilian light wave) in its natural state. I work out, and take many dance classes, therefore this tangle is a big inconvenience for me. Don't run your fingers through it in public, you'll embarrass ya self. Lastley, YES, it sheds, not a lot, but its happening. This is common sense, if it tangles, when you come through it (mmhm starting from the bottom slowly going up) it sheds, the hair will come out. PROS: it does the job, probably the best you can find locally. It has a nice texture and looks pretty. The weft is thin and the brazilian has a nice bounce and feel. This whole process just reminded me to buy Kendras even when I don't need it just to have it just in case. It never sheds or tangles and lasts me up to 2+ years with proper care. read more

I've made many hair purchases in the course of time that I've been wearing weaves and I'd have to say hands down, Hair Queen LA has the best hair out. I absolutely LOVE the quality of the hair, and I have worn everything from curly, straight, wavy, long, short, Indian, Brazilian, and Malaysian, you name it and I loved them all. The weft is not too thick nor does the hair shed, every time I wash it, it bounces back and looks brand new. Most importantly not only is the quality of the hair excellent but the customer service is even better. The worst place to go for hair. I had such a bad experience, I will not be back. They were supposed to have my hair done in a week and ship it out to my home but that didn't happen. I called after a week wondering what has happened to my hair. They said "we need to add another bundle so its going to be another hundred dollars", I could not believe what the lady was saying. I drove so far to have hair from hair queen la to have my job not done, for them to charge me more, and not even call me to let me know why my hair was taking a while. The manager than said no charge for the extra bundle and he promised that the hair would be done in 3 days. Shipped by the 4th day. Well the whole week passed no hair package was found at my door! I called AGAIN they said we need more time!! I was angered and asked for a refund . HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Will not be back. They rip you off as well. The wig did not match the advertised standards -- the hair was prone to tangling and did not resemble the quality expected at this price point. When I contacted the store to resolve the issue, I was met with unhelpful responses and no genuine attempt to make things right. Instead of addressing my concerns, they referred me to their refund policy and refused to provide support, despite the product not meeting reasonable expectations. As a paying customer, I believe it's important for companies to stand behind their products and treat customers with respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Today I had the best experience ever. I was warmly greeted and help immediately. I didn't feel pressured or rushed. The young lady at the front desk was very knowledgeable and very helpful with my wig selection . Did I mention, I just finished chemo and my confidence is kinda low without having hair. I was referred to the stylist '"Pinky". He was AWESOME, he made me feel safe and he was very tentative to me. He let me try on the wig in private (upstairs), he gave me some great pointers on taking care of my new wig and he made look and feel like my old self again. I could not be more happier with the Brazilian curly hair I purchased from hairqieen_la!!! I had been getting body wave from another establishment but the type of curly hair they had I wasn't satisfied. My baby sister and her friends recommended that I try them and from the moment I walked into the door up until I took the weave out has been my best weave experience lol. I have not had the privilege to have worn this hair but I have been following them for a while and their hair is beautiful from what I see on the website and on their page. They are such an amazing company that they have made the playing field fair for all in the month of October. They are giving away free hair ladies every Thursday in october to not just one but two contestants. That's what I call giving. I finally went to LA to make my purchase by the wonderful customer service help of Faith and amazing install by outstanding Samira J. And it didn't disappoint. Much more then I thought. LOVE THIS PLACE! From the workers, their professionalism, experience & knowledge of the product made me feel very welcoming and comfortable with my decision of my hair selection. They have many types of wigs and colors for all types of ladies! This is the ONLY spot in LA I would ever go to, to select my wig and get it installed. Mima helped me out during my most recent visit and was great help of selecting the right wig for me. They also gave me good hair tips on how to keep up my wig and take care of it. It's very difficult to find quality hair extensions and wigs I heard about Hair Queen LA from my daughter I recently paid a visit to their store and I was very pleased with the hair quality and the fact that all of their wigs were custom made. I literally went into their store to buy one wig and I got super carried away and bought two wigs. Came in today to look at their wigs and to try a few on I came in already knowing what I wanted and Mayo helped me in trying them on he was very patient with me as I was being a bit indecisive this place was very welcoming the moment I walked in, this will be the first wig I'm buying so I'm super excited. This hair place is the only one that lets you pick your hair & color it & get it installed in the same day! I got the Brazilian premium bundles 20 something inches and the hair quality is Uhmazingg No shedding or tangling with these hair. Kelly at the reception area was very sweet. Nicole did my sew-in and was so nice and gentle with the braiding and whole process. i added 3 bundles of wavy brazilian hair at 30inches and was so happy with my results and the pricing . absolutely would recommend anyone to this place of business. read more

200+ This woman performed an hybrid extension install and…read moredidn't know what she was doing! 1st she demanded a 30% deposit. $190 and when I arrived for my appointment she had no idea that I made one AFTER she took my money! VWRY UNORGANIZED and UNPROFESSIONAL!! Then the install was horrible. I had 4 bundles of Raw hair at $759'.. This woman cut the hair in a million pieces and only used less than 2 bundles! Stating my hair was too fine! She should have KNOWN prior to cutting my hair that she couldn't do it! She has so many large spaces where there is ZERO hair! Extensions ...Then she used yarn to sew the back in! Several beads are.now poking me in my head day 2) 2 days after I laid her 500!!! I told her yesterday that I wanted it out because it was so bad.. she refused! I can't get hem out w/o paying someone and the new stylist charges 600 plus 125 to take out! This woman says she refunded the deposit so she refuses to take it down! I paid her an additional 300 (which she demanded in CASH) So she expects me to pay in excess of 1025 plus hair that she RUINED! So a total of almost 1800 for a Damn weave!!! Here's a quick synopsis of my experience: Owner sold me partially synthetic hair that melts when you apply heat to it. He initially offered to issue me a refund and some replacement hair to make it right but then disappeared and ghosted me when I asked him for the address of his supposed "hair shop" to do the exchange. Pretty sure he doesn't actually have a storefront and just sells hair out of his sister's house in Inglewood where I picked it up! Should have taken that as a red flag and went elsewhere but I needed some hair asap for an event. Wish I had listened to my gut. KEEP READING BELOW IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN MORE DETAILS: I used to do hair (extensions specifically) so I know good hair. I usually prefer to buy unprocessed South Indian temple hair direct from Vendors in India but needed some bundles right away for some events I had coming up. I did a google search for a local vendor I could pick up from and came across LayLuxury - figured I'd take a chance and give them a try since reviews looked pretty good (must be fake reviews left by family or friends) owner claimed his hair is top quality direct from Indian temples....DEFINITELY NOT TRUE! As soon as I went to install the hair I noticed some quality concerns. The hair is much fuller towards the weft but gets very thin and scraggly towards the bottom (see pictures) and when I went to style the hair as I always do, I immediately smelled a burning plastic smell. I looked at my curling wand after curling each hair section and noticed multiple melted plastic looking hairs stuck on it that I had to wipe off on a towel between every pass. At first I hoped that maybe it was a fluke but as I kept testing more of the hair, I saw that it was the same with both sets of hair I purchased and throughout all of it. I reached out to the owner right away to let him know about the quality control issues in a very nice and understanding manner so that he could address the matter with his vendor but I was immediately met with a hostile, aggressive & unprofessional attitude. Once I sent him enough video evidence and undeniable proof that there was at least some synthetic hair mixed in with real hair in it, he finally seemed to somewhat change his tone and offered to give me a refund and replacement. I was satisfied with that resolution but when I followed up with him a couple days later on this he snapped at me very aggressively and started backpedaling on his offer to refund/replace. As an actual, real business owner myself, I can say that this is NOT good business practice and you lost what would have been a very valuable and loyal customer. Also - as a man working with a predominantly female client base, learn how to accept valid complaints or constructive feedback from your customers without getting aggressive and defensive! He was so rude and hostile over the phone that I told him I wouldn't feel comfortable meeting him at another private residence again for the exchange and would only meet him in a public shop. You acted as though you did me some huge favor by selling me terrible hair lol you didn't do me any favors, I was paying you for a product that was falsely advertised and awful quality.
