My hair is made perfect here. I've been going here for over 5 years now to get the Japanese straight perm treatment, which keeps my hair permanently straight until my original hair grows out. It's all about the details. The low/med heat, not drying your hair out, slowly ironing your hair so the strands don't break, making sure the cream gets on the baby hairs and timing everything perfectly. Connie does it perfectly. I've been to so many other places to try out this treatment which I get about 1-2 times a year and she does the best. And what's even better is that she has the best price AND best quality. I don't trust anyone else with my perm except Connie!

Whoa whoa whoa... Are we back in 1994?? The prices at Hair Time sure make me think so. Wanted to write this recommendation for Hair Time which has become my new go to place for haircuts. The prices are right, the quality is great, and location is convenient. Less than half price of what I'm used to paying for my hair cut. Been coming here for several months now and I can confirm that this has become my new favorite place to cut my hair and can recommend them for men hair cuts highly and I think lady hair too. First heard about this place from my wife who told me to check them out as they had $10 hair cuts for men, so I approached with a bit of skepticism. She told me to ask for a woman named Candy (Kim Sung Un). When I first went in, it appeared they were just opening so I asked the lady who was there if Candy was working today. The lady looked upset that I didn't ask for her and became nearly hostile with me. I was just about to leave until I ended up finding Candy's business card and called her directly. Long story short, when I eventually met Candy (who wasn't working that day but made special arrangements to come on her off day since it was my first time - talk about nice and good customer service!) Anyhow, I've been a happy customer ever since. Located in the same plaza as What The Pho and Hanjin Mail and across the street from pleasant hill car wash. Parking is plentiful. TIP: I recommend calling Candy Kim (Kim Sung Un) directly to make appointments @ 404-319-9571 (permission to post received). 5 solid stars in my book and a #highfive to Candy Kim. Thank you Hair Time and #haveapositiveday

I went to Hair Time for the first time today. I wasn't expecting the best because this isn't a big, well known salon but I was very impressed! Connie was the stylist that cut my hair. I came in and was helped immediately. I told her what I wanted and she started cutting right away. At first I was a little afraid because I didn't know if I explained what I wanted in enough detail but Connie was very experienced and professional. She followed exactly what I asked for and it turned out beautifully! I would highly recommend this salon! The prices are amazing, especially for the quality of the hair cuts. I love my new hair!

Before picture taken 3 weeks before haircut (hair has grown since) and after haircut picture...not a 2-3 inch trim -_-

This is how much I love Connie - I have moved to Arizona, but will be in Atlanta next week to get my hair cut.

I chose this salon as my place to get my first perm done. My stylist was Min. He and another female…read moreworker were nice and answered all of my questions well. I was just really curious on what happens. It wound up taking ~4 hours where I got my hair washed, cut, primed, bathed in solvent, and then curled with the little rollers. I definitely felt cared for, but 4 hours is def a long time. I brought a book and phone charger in case I was bored. The salon inside, however, is extremely cold. I think it was like 62 degrees inside, and I got my perm done in the summer when it was hot (and I still felt that it was freezing). There's a bunch of stylists inside and people who help prepare the clients. For a digital perm, it was ~$200, and if you pay with cash, you can avoid the 3% credit card fee. They also do a traditional booking system where you call them and you get written down for an appointment on a paper book. Overall, I loved how my hair turned out. It was very luscious and soft, but I wish when I made the appointment, maybe there could have been guidelines of what not to do leading up to the appointment, same with post hair care especially for new timers. I wound up using a notes app of how to care for it. I wish I had more curls in my hair, but now I know for next time and how to ask for it to be styled. Great experience generally! This place is located inside of a busy plaza with lots to do, so if you're ever waiting on someone here, you can go to Teso or get boba/food/coffee -- any type of idle shopping!

WORST HAIRCUT EVER…read more Cindy cut my hair way too short. I asked for 2 inches, at most 2.5 inches off. I walked out with 4 inches off my length and I cried in my car after leaving. I wore my glasses today so I had to take them off during my haircut so I was unable to see but how did TWO INCHES turn to FOUR?!? My long hair that was close to my bottom is now up above mid back. I kept emphasizing I want to keep my hair LONG. Be firm on your boundaries and what you want. I usually get my haircut once a year and now this makes me never want to even cut my hair ever again. How hard is it to just listen to what the client want?! I haven't had hair this short since grade school. I've never felt so ugly and I hated that I had to pretend this was ok. Currently looking up hair extensions now. So disappointed.

Fast and efficient at cutting hair and coloring…read more I thought their color selection was limited, but good. They do try to get you in and out as fast as possible, so very efficient! The prices are comparable to most high end salons but the service is mediocre. I do think they stay pretty busy and that may be why I felt this way.

So...This is my Go-To salon in the Duluth area, primarily because of convenience. Also, the pricing…read moreis very reasonable! However, I'm getting to the point that I may try to find another salon. Why?? For starters, the general attitude here is not good. Service is not a thing here, and unlike most salons, stylists (I've tried 3 different ones so far) are just not that personable. In fact, one of the three stylists I've tried here cancelled on me not once, but twice!! Obviously, I stopped booking with her. I also sense that they're not even that happy being there. I could be wrong, but it's the feeling that you get from these stylists. Still, the general hair cutting has been good...though, in my case, it's pretty basic. Just a straight line! I've always tipped 20%...but I'm starting to rethink this, given how the service is so minimal. On my last 2 sessions, the stylist barely said "Hi" to me. The place itself is pretty cool looking (in a grungy kinda way?), but I feel that the place may not be clean as it should be. I could be wrong here, but I've seen dust on their surface and arty structures. Also, I really don't like how they blow dry and comb your hair with their fingers. Not just a little bit while blow drying...but all throughout! It just feels a bit gross. I mean, who knows how clean their fingers are! I also hate the way they wash your hair. They actually have a separate girl that wash your hair (instead of the stylists)...and this girl is just not good! She has zero strength in her fingers...and I hate the way she even touches your hair! Possibly THE worst hair washing experience (experiences) I've ever had in ANY salon. I can't believe someone that's actually hired for this job (hair washing) does such a poor job! Despite liking the location and pricing, service and overall quality is always an issue. I may give it another try...but if my thoughts and feelings are confirmed once again on my next visit, I'll just find another salon in the area.
