A year ago I went in for a consultation for a breast reduction (mammoplasty) and had my surgery in May 2018. The process while lengthy, was well worth the results. Dr. Pryzbyla suggested i receive physical therapy to assess the severity my large breast placed on my physical well-being. After 6 weeks of therapy i returned to Dr. Pryzbyla and he took pictures to submit to my insurance company. I honestly didn't want to get my hopes up but in about 8 weeks I received approval for the surgery. I am beyond happy with my results and throughout this entire process or nervousness and uncertainty, Sally the office manager, assuaged any fear or concerns I had throughout the process. Where do I start? Well, last year (2013) my wife was diagnosed with trigger finger in both hands by…read morea leading orthopedic group in the Albany NY area. At that time she had health care insurance through my employer. In December 2013 she had surgery on her left hand by the hand specialist at the "leading orthopedic group" that diagnosed her condition. The surgery went well, and did take care of her problem (locking fingers, etc), however the pain continued for 2 months, and she was forced to take Tramadol every 4 hours on a regular basis to relieve the pain. He gave her no other instructions or advice to help or prevent pain. The surgery for her right hand was scheduled for January 20th, 2014. With the advent of the ACA (Obama Care), my employer dropped health insurance coverage, and we had to get our new insurance through the NY health care exchange, As a result, we had to find a new hand surgeon, as her current surgeon did not participate in our new health insurance plan. I did some research, and found Dr. Malcolm Roth. We called and set up appointments for an initial consultation and subsequent surgical appointment. From the moment we entered the offices, we felt relieved. The staff gave us their prompt attention, and made us feel welcome immediately. After a brief 10 minute wait, we met with Dr. Roth. He went over the notes from her previous surgery, explained her options, offered choices, and went to lengths to make sure she understood exactly how he was going to proceed. Her surgery was scheduled for February 25th at Albany Medical Center. After the surgery, Dr. Roth met with us in the recovery room. He gave my wife a prosthetic device that was designed to keep her hand elevated. He did give her a prescription for Tramadol, but asked that she try not to take it unless absolutely necessary. He asked her to try taking Tylenol to relieve pain, and to avoid the Tramadol unless she absolutely had to have it. He gave her instructions to keep her hand elevated above her heart whether standing, sitting, or lying down. Shortly afterwards, we left the hospital and went home. That night around 8:30 the phone rang. It was Dr. Roth. He called to check up on my wife, see how she was doing, and how the pain level was. What a surprise! I cannot tell you the last time we had a doctor call us at home, after hours, to see how we were doing. It has been 3 weeks since Dr. Roth performed the surgery on my wife's right hand, and almost 3 months since the other doctor did the surgery on her left hand. She is in the rare position of being able to do a '€œside-by-side"€ comparison of two doctors performing the identical surgery, one on the left hand and the other on the right hand. The difference is night and day!!! My wife has more pain in her left hand that was done 3 months ago than in the right hand that was done 3 weeks ago. To us, Dr. Roth is a miracle worker. Dr. Roth is a genuinely caring human being, showing compassion to his patients, and taking a personal interest to make sure that my wife was recovering well. We highly recommend Dr. Roth to anyone needing his services. Our only regret is that he doesn't practice general medicine, as if he did, he would be our family doctor as well.

I had my breasts done here last year. I had heard the rumors about these two having botched…read morecosmetic surgery patients. I even met one of them. I didn't listen. Now I am botched, too. In surgery, they did things that I did not consent to, like liposuction. I also did not know that Dr. Schingo, who I had never met, would be doing one breast, and Dr. Fox the other. Let's just say that they clearly have different visions of what looks good, because they do not look remotely similar. Now I have one breast that is too large, with a large areola, and an always-hard nipple that is pointing way off to the side. The other breast is two sizes smaller and has a tiny, flat nipple that points down. Then, underneath the breast that the one doctor did, the stitches completely unzipped, leaving a gaping, excruciating cavity in my breast. I was told by the opposite doctor that I had to go back into surgery to fix it, and I received no pain relief after. (Dr. Fox does not practice evidence-based pain management, which indicates that people heal more quickly from surgery when their pain is properly addressed.) Instead, she lied to me and made fun of me. I sought surgery because I wanted to look and feel better, but I'm so embarrassed about my breasts now. The experience was so traumatic that I had to get treatment for PTSD. I asked for a revision several times and they were not interested. They also never took "after" photos to go with the "before" photos, so they know they messed up. Stay away from these people, or you may end up with frankenboobs or a frankenface as well! (No complaints at all about the staff, who were always kind.)

Doctor Schingo is AMAZING!…read more If you're looking for a place to go for fillers/botox THIS is the place to go. Trust me. I had a horror story experience with fillers with another local plastic surgeon (who had great reviews but turns out he was awful and had no idea what he was doing, be careful..) and Doctor Schingo so kindly took me in and completely fixed everything. Ever since I have been going to him for lip fillers and he is a genius, a true artist when it comes to fillers (and the lips!)!! He really knows what he's doing and makes everything look so natural, and listens and understands what you want. I never even feel a thing. He knows exactly what to do. If you're looking for lip injections, fillers of any kind, non-surgical nose job, Botox, etc I cannot recommend him enough! I haven't been to him for anything more than non-surgical procedures but from what I've heard he is an excellent plastic surgeon as well, and is an expert when it comes to noses! The staff is so friendly as well. I look forward to coming every time I go in. I would go every day if I could, that's how much I love going and seeing him, but I don't have enough body parts to fill with filler. Oh well!
