I came here a few days ago just to see that it was closed and replaced with a different business. I only get my hair cut about twice a year so evidently I was late to find out. It's a disappointment because although modest looking and with a name that could be better, it was a nice place with friendly employees who always did a good job. Sad to see it's gone. read more

I can only comment on one stylist here & that's My Tran. We first met him at Dulles TC at Cartoon Cuts. When all the parents sign their kids in, ALL of them specifically requested My. A few years later, he decides to open his own place (Haircut 4 U) & everytime we'd go to the mall, Cartoon Cuts was empty - no business at all. Is it still open? Anyway, one day we were coming out of Atlanta bread & he saw us from his new salon & ran out to greet us. SO happy. My son got his haircuts from My from 2003 - 2020. read more

I came for a root touch up but somehow this lady end coloring my whole head. She tangled my hair into a knot where I can't comb out and had to cut it off. Plus my scalp felt super itchy/irritated the minute she put the treatment on, cheap chemical. She was rough at shampooing and scrubbing, the worst experience ever. read more

This salon is located next to Atlanta Bread which was very convenient to get a quick buzz cut during my lunch break. The price is very affordable considered where they located. The stylists are very friendly and they have a special offer that you'll get the 7th haircut Free (which is a good thing since my hair grows out pretty fast). They offer free refreshment and have wi-fi and an X-box game console if you have to wait there. Normally, the place is pretty crowded during lunch break so if you want to get in and get out quick, it'd be better that you should schedule ahead. read more

Terrible cuts for my two daughters! Each had a different stylist - both in the first chair on each side. It seemed like a good option based on reviews, but we did not have good results. Both girls were going to a bobbed style from longer hair. One was ok, but not straight around, but rather tapered longer in back - not what was asked for. The second was crooked. We didn't even realize until later. Not only that, but the price I was charged for each was 20% more than the listed prices and they never informed me there would be an up charge. MY TRAN is the best for my son. He has been seeing My since he was about 4 and now he is 12. My used to have a line out the door (and a 2 hr wait) at Cartoon Cuts at Dulles Town Center. I think they cut him lose because he was the only one getting business. I was devastated when he left and they wouldn't give me any info on him. I was never able to find a salon able to cut my sons hair the way he did. Until one day...on our way out of Atlanta Bread, My comes to my car, calling my sons name! My gets 5 stars from us. I gave four, because we used someone else in there 2x and didn't get the same results. So I can vouch for My, but not the salon as a whole. We haven't had an adult haircut there. We love this place! We've been coming here for years, and in fact followed the Tran family from Cartoon Cuts when they were across the mall. They're always so nice, and have a "frequent haircut card" where if you get 6 or 7 (memory fails me at the moment), then you get the next one free. I took my friend's advice to visit this hair salon to get my hair done. I was blown away after knowing how reasonable they were with their pricing compared to other salons who would charge a bomb and offer the same kinda services. I was a little skeptical at first to get my hair done since this salons charges the least compared to many other salons I've been to and I thought they must really not be that great with their haircuts. However I was proved wrong in a matter of minutes I was greeted promptly soon as my arrival in the store and a very friendly hair stylist 'Missy' attended me and made me comfortable. She was very attentive to all that I had to say in order to anticipate how I really wanted my hair. She built a good rapport all throughout while she was doing my hair. She gave me tips on how to maintain it and some additional on what kinda shampoo and gel I could use to make my hair look better The place was off-course well maintained and clean and hygienic. I have come here three times already and got haircuts from three different stylist. The first time I went, the haircut was pretty good by Hung. The last two times, they were bad. Not sure why they don't know how to cut boys bangs, they cut the bangs too short and uneven.. Prices are pretty reasonable. $13 for boys cut. I just had the worst hair cut ever in my life. Stay away from the second lady on the left as you go in. She asked how I want my hair, and I said the same as now but little shorter and cleaned up. Every time I've come in, I have been pleased with the haircut I have received, which is more than I can say about other salons in the area. This is a good place to get a nice haircut. It is really inexpensive, other places charge a ton for what this place can do. We really like this place, we were use to going to higher end salons but we came across this place by accident when the husband needed a cut last minute, other shops nearby were closed and this one was opened. They have maybe four people who cut hair and all are good. They do awesome men's cuts and I even let them cut my hair. I am really picky about getting my haircut and I've let them cut my hair a few times and I really like it. Their prices are reasonable. I would pay three times what they charge because I think they do a great job. The only downside is that they don't speak English too well so make sure you have a picture with you do they will know exactly what you want. read more

I've been taking my 3 kids for haircuts here since the last 4 years. You really have to guide them all the way through and tell them exactly what you want every time. I love this place. My daughter has been getting her hair cut here all the time for less than the other place with TVs. It is a real salon though so you can get anything done. I have thin, easily damaged hair and am very particular about how it is cut. I have gone other places and paid over 100 for a cut worse than what I can get here. I'm a fan of this place. I have 3 small children and each one of the salon's stations has a separate TV where you can select from a wide variety of DVDs. And with 1 free haircut for every 7, we take advantage of the special all the time. It's the 1 place that my kids LOVE to come to, they literally get excited to have their haircut. I am very disappointed of the way Mike spoke to my little boy last Saturday, he was so rude and cruel to him. My son has gone to Mike since he was 3 years old, we have follow Mike from the Dulles mall, always supporting him after all these years. The only wrong thing my son did (not) was to ask Mike to cut a little bit more, Mike acted so angry and refuse to do that and told my child if that is what you want you need to go somewhere else.
