Honestly, it's so hard finding a place that can make my hair look good. It's so damaged because of home-dye experiences.. but after coming here for just 30 minutes I was super impressed. U-bin sat me down and cut a little off my hair because of the damages. She actually knows what "a little" means. I feel like every time you go into a hair salon and ask for a trim, they cut a whole chunk off. But thankfully, she cut exactly the amount I wanted. After she trimmed my hair, she went ahead and slightly waved it using a hair straightener. LOVE this spot, I come here specifically for Eunice. I had my hair lady and we had a very special relationship for 10 years but then she retired and I have been looking for someone for a long time - think i might've found her. Getting my hair cut is like being reborn; it's therapeutic, uplifting, cleansing, all the good feels - when it's good. When it's bad, well I'm sure everyone is familiar with the bad haircut feels. I have only experienced good hair feels with Eunice. And when i bring a picture, you can bet she will deliver. The salon itself is super clean and welcoming as well. The hair washing ladies are very thoughtful and give nice little head massages at the end. I know it's covid and most people working from home don't feel the need to get their hair did but I encourage those who can afford it, to do it, for yourselves (trust me, it'll make you feel better) and for the hair peoples, it'll make them feel better too. I've been coming here for a few times now and I'm happy to have found a place that makes me want to be a regular. Kate always does my hair - I don't speak Korean and she isn't as comfortable in English but i always walk out 1000% happy. Definitely bring a picture of what you want and she'll make it happen. This time, she and another hairdresser mentioned that they thought I'd look good with big waves. In an in-the-moment feeling, I said ok and got a perm. I was really hesitant as they began because I saw small curlers and saw myself ending up as a poodle. But my trust was well placed and I ended up with really really pretty curls. Photos of day 1 and 2 are what I've shown. Now it's been 3 days and I've washed my hair once (I was told not to for the first 2 days) and I definitely notice that my hair isn't as it was initially. Some hair still has the beautiful curls but it definitely fell out in other places. Not sure of this is normal of a perm or what :/ Nonetheless, no regrets whatsoever!! I had a great experience here. I was in and out in a little under 3 hours..which is great. I had a half highlight and toning done for $150. Probably my favorite highlighting done in LA--I've been to 5 other salons for over 5 years. The hardest part was finding the location. They validate for the parking garage next door but it was very confusing to find my way around. I ended up walking around the entire garage looking for an exit. I then exited out on the street opposite side and walked towards a door I saw people go in. Came here upon referral from a close friend who always has great hair. Also found out there was a Groupon special - $34 which made it even better! Gahee was the super friendly stylist who took care of my hair, and upon telling her the mess I dealt with for my previous haircut, she made sure to give me a clean cut that is easy to manage. It has been about a week since my haircut and it is super manageable (I have thick and sort of wavy hair so lots of layers and razor cuts will RUIN my hair unless I'm straightening it every day etc). I just blow dry and brush, and my layers look super straight and pretty. She only used scissors and thinned out my hair minimally so that it wouldn't have a shag look which I hate! Really happy with it- the Moroccan oil and steam treatment made my hair SO soft, and they washed my hair twice! (as soon as I entered the salon, and after the treatment) all the workers make you really feel like you're at a salon, offering drinks and getting you into a robe. Afterwards i told her I was going to an event at night and she styled my hair in cute curls. Glad I've found someone I can trust with my haircuts in LA! read more

I talked to them prior to me coming in so I get a better idea of how much it would be roughly, they really try to give me a good estimate for what I'm looking for and he length of my hair. I had Lauren, and she's really good and accommodating. I spent about 3 hours to get the overall color, highlights and haircut plus hair treatment. She someone managed to color my hair so light without bleach it, I don't know how she does it. My hair looks so good and I've gotten bunch of compliments this week too. She's always so considerate and always tries to give you what you want! I hate it when you go to a hair salon with one idea and walk out with your hair chopped off 4 more inches that you wanted and that'll never happen with Lauren. This place is in a building with several other shops ie) starbucks, optometry, spa, golf etc) Ambiance: nice and clean Parking: free downstairs The staff super nice and mostly Korean speaking but spoke enough English for me to understand. The haircut was standard but the Moroccan oil treatment was amazing. They lather it over and then put your hair in a net that set it in with steam for at least 30mins. Afterwards my hair was so fine and super soft. I loved it! The stylist did a good job blow drying and styling my hair. Cash only. This is my spot for hair and make-up. I've been going to Hair Do for almost 9 years, if not longer. I mainly went for make-up services by Myunghee unnie (June). I've gotten my brows tattooed, eyeliner tattoo, engagement and wedding make-up done, a night out on the town make-up done, etc. My most recent trip was for my hair. I loved the way Lauren did my hair for my sister's wedding so I decided to go back to her to get magic straight. I had it once many years ago and my sister urged me not to go through with it. She was afraid it would be too flat against my face again. I went in to tell Lauren about my concerns and she said she can apply it away from my roots so I'll have a bit more volume. The whole process takes about 3 hours. Lauren was a multi-tasking machine during this time. At the end, my hair came out shiny and straight. I don't have curly hair, but I do have random wavy spots and now they're all (temporarily) gone until my hair grows out! The hardest part about doing magic straight is that you can't shampoo, tuck your hair behind your ear, put it up for 48 hours. But after that time period, you're golden. A tip for others with medium to shorter layers, you need to fully dry your hair to be completely straight. With my shorter layers, it would sit funny on my shoulder and it would freeze in that position for the rest of the day. No big deal, but just be aware. Everyone is friendly here. I've been coming to U-bin for years (she used to go by the name Pricilla but decided to switch back to her Korean name U-bin. I'm having difficulty with the switch). The salon is in a mall with a Starbucks and the Aroma Spa. They also have a driving range in this mall if golf is your thing. The salon is always clean and the price is always reasonable and they are also very knowledgable about what shampoo and conditioner to use for your hair type. I purchased a Groupon for a Moroccan Oil treatment, cut and style. It was very easy to make an appointment through Groupon, and I was able to get an appointment for the next morning. I arrived a few minutes early, and was taken to have my hair washed right away. During the oil treatment, I was given a pillow and several magazines. When it was finished, my hair was washed again. I have very fine hair that tends to just lay flat. I also hadn't had a haircut in over a year. I came in with waist length hair and was open to cutting to about mid-back. Tony did my cut and style, and did a few inches at a time to make sure I was ok with the length. He asked if I wanted layers, but I wasn't sure because I usually don't like how they look. He suggested going with a little layering due to my lack of volume, and he was right. I love how it turned out! read more
