I came here for a trim and touch up on my perm! I heard the salons in Ktown were great with chemical treatments and they were right! I paid $90 for my perm and like $30 for my trim. Super affordable! I love the perm touch up even more than my original result LOL! My hair feels bouncier, curlier, and bigger (which is why I wanted a perm in the first place). Only a few people were extremely fluent in English so if you want anything complicated / specific, it would be hard to explain unless one of their English-speaking staffers are there to translate. I didn't mind the language barrier though because I'd prefer to be on my phone and not in a conversation when getting my hair done hahaha. I also just want a trim / perm so it doesn't need much explaining. Definitely making this spot my go-to for perm maintenance! read more

This review is about June Lee, the woman who does the permanent makeup service here. i went to get my brows and liner done a couple years ago... those korean liquid eyeliners and brow liners can get preeeetty pricey. and ew, no. i would never use an american brand. so june tells me that touch-ups for the brows, within 2 years is half the price but that the eyeliner touch-ups are free forever. well, who can resist such a deal? so i did both. and here we are a few years down the line, brows which have turned orange (redone marvelously in korea for a fabulous price) and eyeliner fading to nothing. i make a call and what does this lady tell me? "no... i said no such thing. within a year you can get free touch-ups. i never told you anything was free. you heard me wrong." you know, in that melodic tone that koreans use when they want to sound nice? the kind that makes your eye twitch? Located in the busy Ktown shopping plaza, park in the attached parking structure and make sure to get validated for your parking ticket after your service is done! I've gotten a Moroccan Oil treatment hair done and a haircut as well and each time, left satisfied with silky soft hair that seemed to float on air. The location of the salon is upstairs on the 2nd floor and when you enter, check in with the staff upfront where they will safely store your purse behind their counter so you don't have to worry about while you're going your hair did. Afterwards, they'll lead you to the back to change into a smock and where you can hang your jacket in the closet. After talking to stylist, you'll get your hair washed, service done and haircut last. Rather shows you to similar style that will fit you better. The assistants are great too. When they shampoo my hair, I just want to sleep! They know how to relax you. I had a Brazillian Blow out done here two and a half weeks ago. The groupon deal expired so I called the salon and the lovely manager said that she would honour a similar discount which meant I paid $130 for the blow out. The actual treatment in the salon was quite smooth. The staff were lovely and friendly. The only issue I have is that the treatment didn't make much difference to my hair :( I was advised to leave it on for min 24 hours but the stylist said that it would work better the longer I left it. So I didn't leave the house for 3 days and left it on for at least 72 hours! I bought special shampoo without any sulphates and all natural to ensure the longevity of the treatment. After 72 hours I washed it and unfortunately my hair was still as frizzy as before. Two and a half weeks later its still as frizzy as ever and even after straightening it, it doesn't smooth down. I had a similar keratin treatment done in london that I left on for only 48 hours and I paid half the price. That time I had smooth shiny hair for two months and everyone complimented me on it. I called the salon and spoke to the manager who advised that I could come in to have it done again. Again i would like to mention that the actual staff in this salon are very lovely and friendly. She advised that the treatment is free of cancer causing chemicals and that is why it is not as strong as other keratin treatments. So I went back to have the treatment done. Am now coming up to 72 hours of having the treatment done so fingers crossed I will have a better result after washing it ! I don't think i will be returning to have the same treatment done again though as I did waste two working days travelling to the salon and would be more upset had I paid the full price for the treatment! But if your having other stuff done this is a lovely little place in Koreatown. UPDATE! the Keratin treatment still hasn't worked :( I'm still walking round with a big ball of frizz on my head! read more

Kate and Joyce are absolutely amazing. I came in wanting a hair cut initially but ended up deciding to get my hair colored and cut because I saw how much attention to detail they had. Hairdo is made up of a bunch of super sweet and caring girls who collectively have more than 60+ years experience & technical skill. My hair has never felt so loved and fabulous after 4 hours of their care. Joyce was so gentle with every bleach treatment and every shampoo. Joyce checked in with me multiple times during my treatment and always asked if I liked the color or the trim. I'm so glad that I chose to have my damaged, never-dyed-before hair with this team of absolute experts. At some point of the day, there were four staff members helping with my unruly hair. Kate is such a professional and knows exactly how to make you feel comfortable because she truly cares. On another note, they also have a range of drinks that they offer and they treat you so well. I had a wonderful first time experience with Tony at this salon. I have a type of hair where it gets kinda curly but so frizzy without putting anything in my hair. Tony took care of this for me! He was so knowledgable about hair, he taught me about hair layering and told me that he will layer the mid section so that my curls will be more curly without getting frizzy.
