Jennette, was the hair stylist assigned to me. After sharing some past experiences with her about corporate hair salons (mainly the turn over), she set my worries at ease. Explaining most stylist have been here about 5 or more years. The quality of my hair cut; absolutely outstanding! Stopped in for a haircut when I really needed one and requested a trim to remove about 2" all over. I was placed with a manager to cut my hair. I left with extremely uneven hair when requesting it to be the same length throughout. One side was entirely longer than the other, and bits and pieces were much shorter or longer, obviously sticking out. I scheduled a appointment online 2 days ahead , scheduled my day around it .... then I get a call that they are canceling my appointment 3 hours before...this is my birthday present that's I've got the courage up to get a drastic cut! After waiting 15 minutes for a stylist an stylist returned to shop where she purchased her lunch I asked do a style I had a picture of, she trimmed my hair in 2 minutes and said that looks good to me charged $35 which seems pretty steep for a trim and said now I can have my lunch. read more

I have been going to Janette for the past 4 years. She's the only one I trust with my long thick hair. She's great with highlights and cutting. She gets me when I tell her what I want- which can be confusing because half the time I don't know what I want- but she makes my hair look better than I ever imagined! I have not had a bad experience here. The stylists always do a great job (I am very picky about my hair!) and they are friendly too. The pricing is on the lower end as far as hair places go (wash, cut, and blow dry is under $25). If you are cheap like me and want to save even more money, keep an eye out for coupons in your mailbox from Valpak! There are often coupons that will get you a haircut for under $15! I made a last minute appointment today and got my eyebrows waxed, by Jessica. To clarify this location is by Safeway not KFC (I went to the wrong location initially). Jessica did a great job, and understood my vague request perfectly (she completely reshaped my brows). She was very detail oriented as my brows are symmetrical and I don't have ANY stray hairs. I will definitely be coming for more eyebrow waxes and will try out haircuts here as well. read more

Michaela ( the Mananger) at Hair Master on 172nd She charges $ 21.00 suppose to be "head stylist" she cut my hair after coloring. Michaela cutoff my hair left 2 inches on the top of my head and said" Im sorry". I was mortified . I left upset. She tried fixing by another hair cut made my hair worse. I paid 21.00 and 100.00 for a Mullet . My hair is so bad i have 2 inches oh the top all the way around my head then long hair to my shoulders . I went back and asked Michaela why she cut my top of my hair to 2 inches ? She lied to me and said my hair was damaged !!! . I am a Christian Woman i was in shock !!!to be lied to . I take care of my hair. I only use the best product!!!... My hair is ruined!!! I am looking for hair extension or a wig .......I have been using hair masters for 5 years and that was my to go place... Got in with no wait. Love my hair cut. Got it shampooed/conditioned, cut and a blowout. All for $18 plus tip. Not too shabby!

I can not recommend this place. I would tell you to avoid it like the plague, especially for color. I totally admit that my son and I (he had a haircut, I had a cut and color) arrived 5 minutes late. Literally 5 minutes. Ashley was taking a walk in, to her chair as we were walking in. Sure glad we had an appointment. We waited 35 minutes for her to finish that haircut. This put her time frame off. She started my color, and went to start my son's haircut. Mid way she comes and starts to rinse my hair. She stated I'll be right back. Yeah, 25 minutes later. Then says I needed to take a quick break. This is not my issue that you blew your schedule lady. I was coloring my hair purple, a color notorious for fading quickly. Her last words, said with a smirk, I'll see you when that fades out. 8 days later you could not tell I had colored my hair. 8 days people. With literally 2 washes. Unacceptable. Do not go here. my stylist jessica was amazing! she did exactly as I asked and was pleasant the whole visit. I highly recommend her.

Just took my 13 year old daughter in for a haircut after growing out her hair for two years. She wanted only 3-4 inches off her length so she can still pull it up in a bun for dance, braid it, etc. Her hair wasn't damaged or anything, just the normal amount of split ends after not having it trimmed. Oh my word, the stylist cut at least 7-8 inches off, even after confirming with my daughter how long she wanted it, so there was no confusion on where she wanted the length to hit her on her chest. It was down past the middle of her back and now it just clears her shoulders. to the stylist credit it's a flattering cut on her, BUT when she asked for 3-4 inches off and you get double that, it's not a good thing. It's too short now to pull up in a bun for ballet and no more side braids like she loves to do. We will NOT be back. Part of a good haircut is doing what the client asks for. Err on the side of too long because if you have to make it "even" it's way too easy to take away length your clients want to keep! So frustrated and I feel so bad for my daughter who had begging for a trim for weeks. Should have taken her to a nicer salon I guess. read more

This place is the best for a hair cut and foil highlights! You can't beat the New Years special for 49.95. I generally don't put products in my hair to keep a natural healthy look. I can't tell you how natural and beautiful it turned out. I have to give credit to Tiffany with her many years of experience! I appreciate the thoughtful care and timeliness of her service. I am new to the area and was looking for a new hair salon. This one was a big waste of time and money, very very disappointed. Took my mother and son. My 3 year old son's hair sticks out on the top, and the only way to put it down is to spray it with water heavily (never had to do it before). Same thing with my mom, she needed a good trim and now her hair looks choppy. Seemed like the girl who did it was either new or too lazy. Sorry, but that's not the place I'd recommend, never going back there again. read more

I don't know if I am wrong about this but I thought that this chain of salons takes walk-in clients. At least the previous locations I have been to did. I have been giving this place a try for 4 years and only 3 times have I been able to have a walk-in hair cut. They always say that they are too busy but they only have 1 or 2 stylists working and many unused stations. You would think that they would have someone able to take the walk-in haircut. read more

I would NEVER go back here. My daughter grew her hair out for 3 years. The haircut she got was absolutely horrid. We asked for a trim in back and for her bangs to be trimmed. The didn't touch the bangs and butchered her hair. We got the opposit of what we asked for. My 11 year old is in tears! Stay as far away from this place as you can... read more
