I would give my stylist 5 stars , but the salon and the staff get 1, zero if I could do so......Sylvia is always amazing. She does a great blowout, and is very professional. She works very hard, one client after another. The management, Tatianna, is less to be desired. There were signs posted ALL OVER THE STORE, specifying 20% off all gift cards, NO ONE knew how to ring these up, so NO ONE could buy them. I explained that they need to take down the signs if they can not offer what they advertise. Tatianna basically told me to leave. A manager should know how to offer what is advertised, instead she kept working on someones hair and COULD NOT BE BOTHERED. She was very very unprofessional. I called the main manager at a remote location and she tried to help me sort this out, and explained that she would speak to the staff. She then followed up offering me a discount on the gift card as advertised, but it was too late, after the way I was treated, we broke up !!! Little help it did me, I walked out with NO gift card, and sadly, due to how I was treated, I will NOT be going back. read more

Had a appointment for 2:45pm that they didn't give a flying F#%k about!! When I arrived "on time" Letty was still highlighting a woman's hair which she had just started. The older lady at the front gave me no apology, Nothing! Just a stupid ass blank stare followed by some broken English... Accompanied a lady friend here. What a disaster. The rates quoted on the phone were low but a "Master" experienced hair person is apparently more for each service. The 3 customers while we were there only spoke English, but the hairdressers spoke Spanish loudly between themselves the whole time we were there. Incredibly rude and uncomfortable. Master hairdresser apparently didn't speak English well and pretended she did. She was sloppy and messed up color (went fast and left blobs of color when done) and cut was different than requested even though explanation of what was wanted was repeated. Don't be fooled by the location -- unless you speak Spanish fluently and are willing to be quite pushy about directing the hairdresser go elsewhere. read more

I brought my Granddaughter to the HairMasters on 50 and Jefferson St. for a haircut. We Got Nic who did a great job! He was engaging and friendly and most important he cut her hair exactly the way she asked him too, which is very important to a teenager! . I did notice some of the other workers had attitudes starting with the manager so I will definitely ask for Nic when coming in again. read more

Went in for a Haircut and got services that I didn't want on 06/14. She did a wash and style, which the style the whole time she was styling, I asked her to quit and she wouldn't. She didn't cut the sides and top, which is what I went in for and cut the back too short. Since she was doing a style, I couldn't tell how it was laying. Won't go back there, which is too bad, since it is close to where I live and work. read more

I've been to Hair Masters at Citrus Plaza twice now, both visits with Andrea. She is wonderful! She's very sweet and knows how to cut and color! My first visit was after another stylist elsewhere had messed up my hair by not giving me the cut I had asked for, after I had brought photos and we discussed for about 20 minutes beforehand, so I was hesitant to go to someone new again. Andrea listened to what I wanted and delivered what I requested. She is now my new stylist to keep! The shop is very clean and everyone is nice. Their prices are comparable (or lower) to others I found in La Quinta, plus they send you coupons to use on your next visit. read more

Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this poor excuse of a hair salon. I only went there because I had a credit from a bad experience at their sister salon, Smart Style. Otherwise, I would never bother going to this tacky hair salon. I made an appointment almost a week in advance and arrived less than 15 minutes late after racing to get there. The manager, Tatiana, who my appointment was with, told me she didn't have enough time to do my hair and refused to help me! R U kidding me? An hour and 45 minutes is not enough time to do someone's roots and blow dry short fine hair? Really? 45 minutes to blow dry fine hair above the shoulder? Yeah, right. She's either totally inept or a complete liar! To top it off, the district manager, Erica, who sent me there and apologized profusely for the first bad experience, told her not to help me! I have since reported her, as well. I purposely scheduled this appointment to coincide with an event I had and was left high and dry. I guess if you're not Mexican they feel threatened and it makes them feel good to treat White people like dirt. I'm convinced that what it is as I see them smiling so friendly and speaking Spanish to their Mexican customers. Shame on you Tatiana - and the district manager, Erica. Claudia did my hair. I asked to be braided first so I could donate at least 10 inches of my hair to charity. This was done without extra charge. Then she asked what type of haircut I want and I asked her recommendations given that I am super busy and have no time for high maintenance. Then she recommended a bob cut for me - not too short so I don't get a "shock". She also taught me to maintain it. Excellent cut - I love it!! read more

This place is a hot mess. First. you can't believe the recommendations from the receptionist. If you ask to be given someone who knows how to blow out curly hair, she'll just give you someone whomever is available, regardless whether they can do the job or not. I've had three different stylists here (I keep trying thinking I'll find someone acceptable...so far, not the case). If I had to rank them for blow outs for curly hair, Sylvia is definitely the best of the three, Cynthia is mediocre, and Olivia's was a mess. For a salon surrounded by high end communities, they really need to up their game. Definitely not worth the price or the aggravation. Go elsewhere. read more
