Updated based on the owners response here: I was first instructed to send pics. to the owners mobile but I'm tenacious so instead I sleuthed up his emails. I figured with before, and after pics and detailed diatribe from an alopecia patient I would get some attention. I burned hours on this activity. I was then asked to bring the wig in for inspection. Not so easy since I live and work in Jersey, but ok. I was then informed by Andrew here that the wig would be sent to the warehouse for "inspection". Sounds like an epic runaround to me. Have they botched so many "european" wigs that they've lost track? Did we conveniently forget that I was charged 5 times more than the wig is worth @$3.5k? In the meantime, my employer's (Chanel) stylist tried to help with an expensive conditioning mask, but alas you can't repair dried-up coarse, and breaking hair. I have also been asked to remove all reviews as if the issue is resolved. At first, I agreed to remove one but later decided "nope." I'm not a moron!? There were moments that I thought I was being unreasonable and apologized, but then I looked at my bank acct @ $3.5k in Andrew's pocket! At this point, given the disrespect by the ranting lying "stylist", misrepresentation, greed, and epic runaround it is best to just file a case with the BBB then small claims court. I guess you dont want to do any work. "I picked up a wig last Friday. I was amazed by the rich texture especially given the unit was permed. I washed the unit immediately to remove the heavy styling using your shampoo and conditioner. The hair became frizzy and has now it has started to break. The stylist told me it was ok to do highlights. I only did two strands, thank goodness. The strands have dried up and are also breaking. The hair is irritating to my skin now. I have purchased two units from you back in 2021ish, and always had a great experience. I use to boast to everyone about you. I guess this place like everything else and is not what it used to be before covid. When you used the word "perm" I should have run away but I trusted you . I love that I was barely allowed to touch the wig before dropping $3600. It surprised me, but now I get it and understand why there is no touching, and then no refunds - you really dupe, and box in your customers. Waste of $3600. I will find a proper custom wig maker. Thank goodness, I didnt let you talk me into dropping $4.2K for a unit that was waaay too big and you offered to perm it. Everything in this place is just a hustle now. read more

I had an appointment with Ana to find a solution to hide my thinning hair. I have tried a topper in the past but I was hesitant to continue using it as I think clipping it to my own hair would create damage to my hair. Ana listened to my concerns and then showed me a couple of wigs that she recommended. I ended up buying one of those wigs and Ana was very thorough and patient and showed me how to attach the wig. She was also very good about explaining how to care for the wig and she demonstrated how to wash the wig. I opted not to have the wig styled right away as I wanted to think about exactly how I wanted it to look. I went back a couple of days later to have it styled and Ana did not charge me for the second appointment! That is a great service and I am very impressed. I was disconsolate - fed up with exorbitant prices and fighting with the stylist to avoid applying dye and chemicals to the same hair each time. I had an epiphany and looked up salons that work wth thinning hair. Andrew De Simone, the owner, contacted me, discussed my needs, and promised me his top stylist, Elise. I arrived a tad disgruntled and suspicious. Elise entered like a sun shower, refreshing, hysterical, and well-informed. Their products are not invasive or damaging. She managed to quiet my nerves simultaneously, color my gray roots, only - and highlight new growth on my hair. Other stylists had slopped their chemicals everywhere, every 7 weeks, leaving me with a severely diminished mane. Last, she ordered a glaze for my hair and executed a trim. I left with a small gift from Elise, an artist, and confidence. What a relief and how refreshing. All of these services cost $313, I would have dropped an organ at another salon--great location on Lexington in the 60's. I don't like spending a lot of $ on hair, which primes me to be a customer with a bad attitude. So I'm pleased to report that I am very satisfied with the service! Anna did a great job coloring my gray. She explained why it was going to take extra coloring called glossing because the roots are too long so I learned something it took three tries to cover all of the gray which I really appreciate. It also looks shiny and awesome and I got a great cut, I don't really like chatting when I get my hair done so I appreciate that she let me initiate chat but she kept it under control. She was very professional and patient and included my opinion for choosing the hair color. The price was extremely affordable because I got a new client rate, but even the regular rates are much less than average plus they offer online booking.
