My daughter and I had our first experience at Haku last night - we can't wait to go back! Both the food and the service were wonderful

Oh my goodness. Tonight was my first time here and it was insanely delicious! I found a new favorite place to eat! The service was outstanding. The employees were so kind, provided great recommendations, and refilled our waters the whole time! The chashu bun was incredible. The pork was so tender and the homemade sauce on the inside was delicious! The flavors all complemented each other perfectly. My husband was so impressed with these too. The Vegas roll was tasty too, definitely one of the better Vegas rolls we have had. The haku ramen was so tasty. The broth was hearty and had such a great flavor. It was rich and not too salty. The pork was great too. I loved the egg, mushroom, and onion. The noodles were cooked perfectly and they had a lot in the ramen and didn't skimp on them as some other restaurants do. Lovely experience and incredible food. I cannot wait to visit again soon. read more

I tried the Haku ramen, Vegas roll, Sunset roll, and Funky roll. Their ramen was pretty good. I liked that they had a fair amount of mushrooms. The egg was ok; I prefer marinated ones. Considering they call themselves a ramen house, I wished they had more ramen options (like my go-to black garlic tonkotsu). All the rolls were yummy but not like to die for. These are the typical rolls that you can get at most sushi restaurants. I also got the chashu buns. They were good, but a little pricey. The service was great. I think a family runs this business. They definitely treated all customers with care and came often to check on us. Overall, this was a great place for food. Everything tasted good, but at the same time I felt like it didn't stand out compared to the many Japanese restaurants in Utah. read more

This place is so delicious the word delicious doesn't do it justice. I had the haku ramen and my husband had the spicy ramen. The pork was so tender, the egg was still a bit yolky, and the broth. Oh my goodness the broth. I could sip that every day and not get tired of it. We also had the fried chicken app and the tempura batter was so light and fluffy, the chicken was tender and the sesame sauce was incredible. We drive by all the time and always talked about going and today we did. Perfect for a cold day for sure. We will absolutely be back!! read more

This place is a hidden gem! It was Saturday night and we expected it to be so busy but there was only 3 groups there, one already eating and one got their food shortly after we arrived. We had Bamu as our server and he was so attentive! He got us our water and appetizer quickly and was friendly the whole time. Both of the Ramen bowls we got were delicious! I added chili sauce to mine (Miso Ramen) and it was perfection! The place is quite small but it didn't feel like it. There was a lot of anime vibes there that made it fun!! This is it. The place. I can't say anything was exceptional (except the chashu bun, which changed my life). But it was all very good, served with kindness, in a peaceful and cozy ambience. The price was reasonable and the service was quick. There might be a more flavorful bowl of tonkotsu in Lehi, but this is the comfortable everyday bowl we've been looking for. Finally, a decent ramen spot in Utah! I nearly jumped for joy when I saw an Asian restaurant in the middle of one of the many strip malls around the valley. The wait staff was very attentive and nice as soon as we walked in. We had the mini chasu buns, which were pretty delish. I appreciated that they thinly sliced the meat so it's easier to bite into rather than having the meat thicker and really make you work hard to bite through. Then came the stars of the show, the ramen. I had the miso ramen while my friend had the haku ramen. Both dishes were distinct in flavor and very different from each other. I personally preferred the haku over the miso as it had a light but had lots of umami into it. Although the noodles were thinner than the classic thick yellow noodles that the miso ramen had. Both ramens came with 2 pieces of chasu, half a seasoned boiled egg, woodear mushrooms, and thinly sliced scallions. There's also a cute hand painted mural on one of the walls of the Dragonball Z cast eating all that's on the menu, something really fun to admire are you slurp your food. I definitely got my Japanese food fix here and so I can see why my this made my friend's top list of foodie restaurants in UT! read more

Absolutely fantastic in every way. My wife and I have eaten here 5 times in the past couple of months. Not one time has it disappointed. Let's start with the ramen. It's all great. However, I prefer the Miso ramen. The broth flavor just seems the best to me. I love adding in the chili oil -- makes it a little better texture and adds some kick. The sushi rolls are some of the best around. Vegas, playboy, and California are my go-tos. I know, I know - the California roll is so basic. But it's only 5.50 and it's so good! We've had the same server every time, I think. He is fantastic. The service is always super quick so we never worry about it taking forever. My one complaint would be that they don't have fountain sodas. They have cans and bottles - which can be fun. But I prefer my Coke Zero from the fountain :). The restaurant itself isn't very big, but it's super cozy. I will be back many times in the future, I'm sure! read more

Overall experience was pretty poor. Blonde Latina server was very inconsiderate, and our simple requests for items such as a Soy Sauce bottle seemed like the biggest chore for her. My Sister also needed accommodation to have the noodles on the side for her own personal reasons. And rather than getting her taken care of, they kept addressing it and questioning her and making her feel dumb for asking that favor. As for the food, me and my friends love going to Ramen shops all around Utah county. However, this Ramen in particular wasn't really that grand, nor did anything stand out. I'd put it on the same level of eating capability as making your own Maruchan at home. Just Haku Ramen had a nicer display, and additional ingredients and meats. But if you need a bite to eat that's the closest in range, it will still fill your stomach. If you want some nice high quality broth and or noodles, i'd recommend even going a little further down to Orem as there are other nice options to consider. read more

I ordered the Miso Ramen with Edamame - SOO good! Loved that they were considerate enough to put the ramen toppings in a separate carrier for our take out order. This is the place where, once you walk in and smell the good things cooking, your body releases tension you didn't know was there. This is comfort food. We have been here many times and love the ramens they have. About half of the time we eat there, the other half we bring it home. There was one time that they forgot the meat and we didn't find out till we got home. I called, frustrated, and they apologized sincerely and let me know that they would make it right next time and give us our whole order for free. When we came back, they did and we really appreciate that. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but it hasn't ever been really busy where we were cramped, and they get the food out pretty quickly. read more

Went with 2 of my buddies and since it was new and none of us had heard about it we all wanted some. Service wasn't that great, the server kept insisting what we should order when I never asked? I wanted to look through the menu and check Yelp to see what shined. Really irked me for a bit. My buddy wanted an iced tea and she repeated it back to him and brought out hot green tea with 3 cups. The Haku Tonkotsu Ramen was a bit salty and needed some water to dilute it, the chicken karaage was delicious and so was the sauce that accompanied it. The pan fried gyoza had a potent ginger garlic sauce that I really started to like. The Chashu bun was okay as the piece of pork in it was really thin. I like simple menus. Like, super simple menus. The ones that you can probably memorize in 10 minutes if you needed to. I like small spaces with simple menus that do one thing and do it right. That's pretty much what you have here at Haku. And while they're probably still perfecting things, I think I like the simple straightforward approach and I liked the food enough to want to come back again for more ramen. They were very accommodating and explained their ramens to us. Their Haku ramen is the tonkotsu (though their menu spells "tonkatsu" when referring to the ramen, not the chicken, which makes me curious about the origins of the concept) and they have a few others--shoyu, miso, vegetarian. I think the Haku is the one to get, though for variety sake I got the shoyu and sampled a Haku at the table. I was surprised about how much i liked the chashu and am pleased with the whole overall experience. Our glasses were never empty (like, take a sip, get a refill... it was a slow night) and though it's not the cheapest spot in town, it's within the window of acceptability. Let's take a moment to acknowledge how generous they are with their chashu buns. They are double or triple the size of what you would find at some other restaurants and they are so juicy. Pure, spongey buns that you don't want to ruin, complimented by tender, saucy meat. Business idea: someone should make edible kingsize chashu bun mattresses. Revolutionize the sleep industry. Become world famous, pay me royalties. Simple. The haku ramen itself is very good, also with more meat than you would get at some other places. Every ingredient is flavorful and the broth is super rich. My only critique would be that the broth was almost too salty at times. All in all, one of the best ramen places I've been to- both in flavor and in portions. read more

The Shoyu Ramen is not a classic chicken broth as stated. It just tastes like soy sauce and is a dark brown color like beef broth. To me, it tastes like someone opened up a can of chicken broth and then dumped in some soy sauce. My husband's Haku ramen was delicious but I was super underwhelmed with my Shoyu ramen. The Haku ramen has much more of a chicken broth taste and look. Get that one, it's much better and you feel like you are getting what you paid for.
