This is part of the fleeing California. I was hungry so I ate most of it, but honestly, I won't go back for this

my husband and I got tacos tonight on June 24, 2026 at the American Fork location. I'm not sure what happened but, our birds had no blue cheese which was an easy fix and they did fix it quickly. But as I was biting into my tacos. I the tortillas weren't really cooked or heated through very well and there was literally no cheese. When I flagged down the young man who seemed to the shift, he very politely told me expensive and they were cutting back on it. When I showed him my taco with literally 2 to 3 tiny shreds of cheese on it, instead of the cooked cheese shell that I was accustomed to, he was like "oh whoa that's not enough!" no kidding. Additionally, the meat was overcooked, kind of crispy and crunchy as opposed to being tender or juicy. We each got two tacos, we each got the bird and my husband got a Memphis and I got fleeing Californian. None of them were up to smoked taco standards. I tried to leave a review through their website and what I got was "Sorry this seems like Spam so you can't submit this review." How to lose a in one visit. This would be the way. But I'm sad because they really did have something unique going for them, very tasty. Very intriguing mix of flavors. But you gotta bring back the cheese guys you gotta bring back the cheese and the crispy crust and the tender meat because that's why we showed up in the first place.

Fun, friendly, fast and very tasty. One thing: today is a cold and windy day. Every time the doors opened (& got stuck open) the entire restaurant and food chilled dramatically.

The smoked taco is a once-a-week staple for us and I truly crave these tacos almost every single day (no joke). The ambience is bright and upbeat, and the workers are always so kind, funny and entertaining!! we had somewhat of a bad experience at the bountiful location (so bad that they ended up giving us coupons for 2 free tacos and churro bites), we have no idea that the coupons would only work at that location, but the workers here were nice enough to apply the coupons to their location anyways! genuinely made up for the other experience in this was such a fantastic lunch!!! 10/10 on anything you could possibly order from here.

The best taco salad. Smoked taco beats out Cafe Rio and Costa Vida. Honestly I'm totally hooked. Great portions and fair prices. Quality all the way!

I came here not expecting much, but I was blown away by the quality of the ingredients, especially the meat! The service was great and they made some great suggestions. Also... unlimited chips? That's fantastic!!! I can't say I've been anywhere that does that!

So right from the start I liked the atmosphere of this place. From the menu with gringo smoked taco(I was born in San Diego definitely a gringo lol) to Kai at the register from Peru who broke into Spanish speaking when I asked her if she spoke Spanish. I'm having the bang bang smoked shrimp taco and I'm impressed with the fast service and the quality of the food and all people who work here.

The gringo taco is amazing!!! I love the gringo sauce and crunchy jalapeños. I did wish there was a little more of the gringo sauce and crunch jalapeños on the tacos. I ordered two tacos and was stuffed! My kids had the Carmel apple churro fries. The cream cheese/whipped cream was really good with the churro fries. The Carmel sauce made a great addition. The staff was so nice and helpful. The location was busy but the two members in the kitchen did a great job at getting orders out in a timely manner. I will be back.

Churro Fries are a MUST! They were seasonally serving them with a peaches and cream topping and OMG

Tacos just aren't exciting to me unless they lean into being weird. This place really delivered!! The Smoked Taco has a bright retro vibe and menu that makes you scratch your head and drool all at the same time. The Smoked Pastor was the winner of the two I ordered - the subtle smokiness and well-executed simplicity just made me want more. The Bird was also great - definitely weird! - but could've benefited from a little more *punch* The real winner tho is those CHURRO FRIES. Like, holy cow those are goooood. They were offering a special Peaches 'N Cream serving that blew our minds. All in all, would def recommend and return!

This place was so delicious! I am excited to come back again. So first, the line went fast which always gains points in my book. I wish that they had some kind of meal combo but everything is ordered individually. I got two tacos and the portion was large enough that it was plenty for me. First, the bird. I thought this one was okay but the buffalo sauce and the pickled carrot didn't pair very well to my taste. It was good but not great. Second, the gringa. This was my favorite of the two. The flavor balance was awesome and they did such a good job on the brisket. The candied jalapeño was a little hot still so I removed a good portion of them since I have a weak spice tolerance but after doing that it was spectacular. I will 100% be getting this taco again. The staff were freindly and fast. Overall a great experience and I will definitely return

Great food! My husband and I ordered 2 Bahm Fire tacos and 2 Fleeing Californian tacos. And we also got to try the churro fries! Our favorites were definitely the Fleeing Californian, and the churro fries! The Bahm Fire was a little too spicy for us (we are wimps when it comes to spice!!). We can't wait to come back and try their other tacos, the loaded tench fries, and the key lime churro fries!

Came tonight with some friends and everything was extra spicy! I love spicy things but the queso and the taco toppings were super hot. Like almost unbearable... the queso wasn't even hot - temperature wise. The fleeing California didn't have a ton of flavor tonight. Mine hardly had any meat too! It had way too much pico as well. Ugh, not the best experience and not the best food tonight. I hope it's better next time and not overly spicy.

Those that I like have to meet a few requirements that I have for eating. I have celiacs, so i avoid gluten at all cost, including any moderate chance of cross contamination, Corn also bothers me so another food that I avoid. beyond that I am picky with what goes into my food and how the food is prepared. Now to the review. the first thing I do at any restaurant is ask about their gluten free options and about cross contamination. This was the first day that the Provo location was open, so I expected there would be blank stares. believe it or not that happens a lot. Here they knew about some of the food but not all of it when it came to my questions. So they went back to ask, "I want to make sure so let me ask". the next thing i knew I was speaking to the owner, going over all of the items and the options I had and what to avoid. He made some suggestions and we went ahead with our order. I got. the tri tip steak and my wife got gnochi. Oh another thing about how i like my food. I like the ingredients, steak, potatoes, vegetables, etc, seasoned and not the other way around. I find a lot of places over season their food. Not here. the steak, veggies, and mashed potatoes were lightly seasoned, just enough to enhance the flavor but not overwhelm the core ingredient. the steak was tender, the vegetables perfectly cooked and seasoned. I didn't even try and figure our what seasonings they used, I just enjoyed the meal. Short of this part of the meal, fantastic. With the gnochi, we had a little bit of an issue. There was a problem with how they were cooked, they were a little stiffer than they should be, but the sauce they were in was fantastic. BTW, they are not gluten free, so this is my wife's perspective. When they asked how our meal was we mentioned that to them. They looked at the gnochi and agreed. they then didn't just correct the issue, but went above and beyond. They asked if we wanted something else, made a suggestion since we couldn't decide and prepared that for us. They also did something else while we were there. They tried to make more batches of the gnocchi, not for us but so that they could see what went wrong. Then came back and told us what they had done and the results. The service was some of the best I have ever had. They had a good selection of gluten free options, depending on your sensitivity your options might change, but there are plenty of options and a few that are not on the menu. The owner suggested a burger on mashed potatoes, even though they have a gluten free bun. My gluten sensitvity is pretty high, so he was providing as many options for me as possible. All in all, I really liked the food, the service, and the attention to my food sensitivities.

Ocotillo specializes in the cuisine of Sonora, Mexico, a region known for bold meat and seafood dishes. They also offer a daily brunch menu that is worth planning your weekend around. We ordered the tres leches pancakes, a triple stack that delivers exactly what the name promises. Bathed in a three milk mixture and topped with fresh berries and whipped cream, moist but not to sweet. The Sonorense combination was equally impressive. Arrachera steak strips, chilaquiles made with poblano chile, a tamal de elote, and two eggs. The arrachera was excellent and the chilaquiles were crispy, which is exactly how they should be and not something every kitchen gets right. The menu is long enough that choosing something different next time will be a genuine challenge. Omelettes, chilaquiles, brioches, and other specialties give you plenty of reasons to return. We are already looking forward to exploring the lunch and dinner menu. Slightly more expensive than a standard breakfast spot, but the generous portions and the quality of the ingredients justify every dollar. Five stars without hesitation.
