Ordered a take out order for lunch. The service was great and my order was ready in about 10 minutes. I got the spicy edamame, which had really good flavor, but seemed to be drowning in some type of oil? And way too much of it. The playboy roll was good, I just wish the fish was a bigger portion. I did appreciate the fresh veggies and avocado but again, wanted more protein. The Vegas roll was okay. Nothing special. Too much rice and not enough salmon. The sushi here is okay. I looovveee bad Chinese food for takeout but this was just awful. We ordered orange chicken and general tso chicken dinner combos as well as fried cheese wontons. Sadly they didn't have crab and cheese wontons, just the cheese but they were pretty decent just cold when we got them. We called and placed our order then got there in 10 mins and it was ready. We ate our food and it was cold... we didn't not wait to eat and did not get there late. The fried rice was the worst I've ever had and I did not expect much but truly all I tasted was oil. The chicken was pretty good for both of our meals and they came with potstickers and egg rolls and miso soup. The soup was basically all miso paste and not even that warm either, the egg rolls and potstickers again were okay but definitely would be better from a frozen bag at the store. I did not expect to write a review as it was just takeout but I would not come back here even for mediocre Chinese takeout. We got the Play Girl roll and Citrus roll. Both tasted ok, but a little heavy on the sauce and seasonings - I know a sushi roll is good when the fish is fresh & flavorful, but these rolls were overly seasoned. It's a small restaurant, so I would suggest takeout as the wait was 25-30 minutes on a weekday. The kid who was bringing out the food was wearing pajama bottoms which is an interesting dress code. We ordered pot stickers, lo mein and pad Thai. The pot stickers were fine, nothing special. The other items were also just fine. The lo mein was quite bland, and it had some pork as a part of the house special. I'd skip the pork, it's definitely not good. I can't believe how many people were getting sushi. This place is a dive kind of place and sushi is not something I would try. Hard pass. However, if I am in the mood for noodles again, I will order from here since it's close. The service was horrible. If I could give a zero start I would. When submitting our order we were told we would have 10-30 minutes for a pickup time frame. We go there about 30 minutes later and it was so busy and multiple people were there for over an hour and a half. When we asked how soon with it be for our order it be ready they said only 15 more minutes and the waitress continued to avoid the group of people when we were far past the 15 minutes time frame. They continued to lie just to avoid having to cancel and lose the money but having to wait over 2 hours for the order and continuously being lied to created a horrible taste in our mouths and won't return after this. read more

This is the closest sushi to home and it's okay for the price. My only recommendation is for the chef to take it easy on the sauces that are put on top of the sushi after it's made. The hubs and I finally tried this place for date night tonight. We both love sushi and are a bit discerning about where we eat it. (Avoiding food-borne illnesses and all.) The first thing we noticed on the menu strategically taped to the entrance glass was how low the prices are for a Japanese restaurant. All of the rolls are $8.00 or less and a good portion of them are $5.00 and under! It's a relatively limited menu, but I love that. It makes it easier to make a decision and the hope is that whatever they do offer is well executed. The restaurant is clean and has good ambiance. We got there right a little after 7:00 pm and didn't have to wait to be seated, which was awesome. We ordered some tempura, miso soup and a few rolls. It was all fresh and delicious and beautifully plated! The reason for four stars instead of five is that, although the food was great (especially for the price) and the restaurant was nice- the service was sub-par. This, of course, could be dependent upon who's on shift when you go. But, our waitress was inattentive and forgetful and did not know the menu. We asked if the ramen was shoyu or miso based and not only did she not know what that meant, she didn't even know what they offered and didn't offer to ask someone else, haha. The miso soup was forgotten, so she brought it to the table with our check once we were done eating. The rest of the staff were similarly vacant and barely made eye contact, let alone any show of enthusiasm for customers. That being said, no one was overtly rude; the restaurant is clean and well decorated, and (most importantly) the food is beautifully prepared and a fantastic value. Update: We enjoyed and gave Red 5 stars the first time, I wish I could have the 2nd time. My husband and I aren't eating rice and figured like all other Asian restaurants they'd let us get steamed veggies instead. Nope! Even after we offered to pay the difference. When we were about finished the waitress came over and apologized, they could in fact give veggies instead of rice. It was too late at that point as we already got salads. My water remained empty and never refilled as well as everyone else's at the table. We went on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was near empty. I want this place to thrive but their service needs some work. 1st visit: We have been so excited to not only have a sit down restaurant in our area but a place that serves sushi. The location is very small and doesn't allow for larger groups and is quite busy. The service wasn't the best but they were kind. We have no complaints about the food besides the fact that my husband received his grill food before I received my sushi so he was almost done eating but the time I got my plate. Decided to go for a random drive and eat somewhere I'd never eaten before. Because of this place, it's going to be a while before I do that again. Not because this place is so good that I will keep going back but because it was horrible. I ordered pork lo mein and a sushi roll that I can't remember which one. The lo mein was absolutely horrible. Not only did it taste gross, but the pork was a really weird shade of red. Not an undercooked red color but more like almost a rust color. And said rust colored pork and was tough as shit. It felt like biting into a steak that has been left on the grill 30 minutes too long. Now onto the weird sushi roll. Like I said I can't remember what kind I got even though this was yesterday, but I can definitely tell you that the outside of the roll was slimy as shit, despite it not being a sushi roll with fish on top. Not only that but it also had a weird reddish color (the outside of it) To top all of this off, the lo mein came with rice and egg drop soup. The rice was just as bad as my review of rice king express, tasteless and boring as crap. The egg drop soup almost had the consistency of jello. No joke, I took a spoon full and it took a second to even out again. The one great thing I can say about this place is the guy that works the register is super nice, and a genuinely great guy to talk to. read more
