I haven't been back here in so long, I used to eat this all the time. I'll tell you one thing the quality has not fallen off at all. The food is still amazing, they're also always so accommodating for my salad because I am not a fan of feta so I always appreciate it. This place is soooooooo good. Authentic Greek food. They offer a giant meat platter called "the little village"(ironically named). It's supposed to be for 4 people but I like to order it and use the meats with other dishes throughout the week. It includes an assortment of meats that are juicy, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor. My all time favorite is the chicken souvlaki with Chipotle sauce . I was in the mood for a Greek salad and this one was excellent. Lots of feta and was able to get half lamb and half chicken gyro meat. More food than I could possibly finish. Lunch tomorrow! It seemed to be mostly take out but there are a few tables. There was no problem with my eating there. It's in a small strip mall so there's plenty of parking and easy handicap access. Ordered from here once before years ago, don't recall if ever left a review. Was in the mood for Greek and this place was closest and best priced. Online ordering didn't work so had to call it in. Best decision ever! Got the little village and the village salad. The little village is a combination of various meats and got the side of lemon potatoes. The chicken gyro (usually not my favorite) blew me away with its flavor. Lemon potatoes were soft, saucy and delicious. The sausage had a very unique flavor and I wish supermarkets sold it. Village salad also excellent. Overall very pleased with the decision to order take out. Whole family was happy and 3 of us got 2 meals out of it. Easily one of the best moussakas I've ever tried, the delicious lemon potatoes and greek salad that came with were just a bonus alongside this amazing dish. SO far the best greek food on Long Island! If you live out, you know there's a shortage of high quality greek food compared to queens and this place makes me feel back at home! Omg I ordered my gyro with lettuce and tomato, it was already made in 10 seconds and she gave it to me. I thought that was a little weird for it to be made so quickly. When I opened it up to eat. Omg it was dry and old looking not fresh. At all tomatoes look withered and old NO WHITE SAUCE nothing on it so. I brought the gyro back for a refund. She refused to give a refund. Or even remake the gyro, so I left and I called every 20 minutes I wanted to talk to the owner to resolve this issue. I paid $12.25. For a cold gyro. Finally after 4 calls, and 2 hours. She told me to come back and get my refund only if I still had the gyro. Well, I will never buy anything from there. read more

Trying Yiasou Yeeros again. New experience since first visit. Yiasous is active in the old ShopRite shopping center.. Visiting at lunch time. People coming in for take out, others sitting at the luncheonette style tables. This time the gyro was sliced off a rotating skewer and placed in a warmer. The pita was well grilled and it was ok. Flavor and leanness of gyro good. Got a medium salad also ok. What I didn't need was what I always ask for at gyro places which is extra yogurt sauce on the side. This was some pasty yogurt on it already and the extra definitely not needed. This is Greek yogurt based I was told.. so it's up to taste but not my style which is usually much thinner cucumbery. Lol This tasted like pasty cream cheese so a no go for me. Will happily return for the same lunch and also should get to try what looks like amazing pork turning over the grill for pork gyros. Yiasou Yeeros in Plainview at the Morton Village shopping center was open today. It cost a bit more these days but there was a good amount of tasty food. Lamb gyro sandwich with white sauce which was said to taste like sour cream but a nice flavor. Chicken platter with fried zucchini a side order of lemon potatoes and a rice platter and salad with pita bread was more than enough to eat a filling lunch with some leftovers. The place is a small store. Outside are a few tables and chairs with a cushion tied to prevent flying away in the wind. (see pix) People in kitchen checking the flavor of the soup and a woman server taking orders along side bagged orders on the counter. My order was a walk in and I had to wait a bit but the food was fresh and turned out worth waiting for. The bathroom was just ok for cleanliness the basics with a toilet and sink (see pix) THANKS, to the customer, who brought in the flowers with the blue bow, which were placed in a water pitcher that brighten the look. Ordered a lunch special - Greek salad with chicken souvlaki. We had it delivered. I was shocked at the size of the meal for $14. I order lunch from different places every day and this was not a good deal. I'm not complaining about the taste, I am complaining about what I got for $14. It was a 7" tin barely filled with 6 small chicken pieces and green peppers as its main ingredient. I called and explained my disappointment and all I was told was that nobody has ever complained about the size of this meal. I find that hard to believe. As someone who has spent time in Greece, studied Greek in college, and plans to retire on the Greek island of Paros, I am quite picky about my Greek food. And this place is my favorite in the area. I haven't been inside, so this review is all about their delivery. The food is delicious! It has the flavors I remember in Greece, not the American version of Greek I usually notice at local spots. Serving sizes are generous without being over the top. Fine the kids meal is a bit much, but that gives us two meals for the price of one, so no complaints here. My personal favorite is the Chicken Yeero and Avgolemono. The prices are fairly reasonable compared to other places in the area. Delivered is fantastic! The delivery guy is the nicest and always beats the time estimates by a long shot. So the food always arrives nice and hot. When they are open, they are my go to! I'm not a moussaka expert, but this being my only time trying a Greek moussaka, all I can say is wow how flavorful and tasty it is. Also love their lemon potatoes. The moussaka has ground beef, thick layer of bechamel on top that's nicely browned and a thin layer of thinly sliced potatoes and or eggplant on bottom. Deeelicious. Once I received my order it so small(I ve beet to this place before and had much better portions). The chicken smelled like lamb(which my husband hates), and it was very dry and tasteless... Went with a few people from work and right off the bat I saw they had a lunch special. It was either a beef pork or chicken gyro with two out of the three possible sides; soup, salad and/or fries. I went with the Lamb and beef gyro with a Greek salad and fries. The meat was perfectly cooked and the size of the gyro was just right. It wasn't wrapped like some places where it's almost impossible to eat. The fries were pretty good and the salad was definitely above average.
