Halal food tasted great. Halal is one of my favorite food all time. I had the chicken over rice. Gave me flashbacks of when I used to eat this every single week in college in the city. This version tasted different than the cart ones , it tastes a bit healthier and lighter which is good. The rice had too much of a herby flavor but nothing bad about it. They gave sauce cups too hot sauce and white sauce. Fries made this dish a lot better. I feel without the fries and sauce it is kind of lacking but can't go wrong with halal. Loved it read more

The salad is more than just your typical lettuce, as there are diced cucumbers and tomatoes as well, which gives a bit more flavor and color to your halal. Of course, what really matters is if the white sauce is any good and it's safe to say that I couldn't tell the difference between the one Halal Munchies uses and the one used at different halal carts, which is a good thing, as the sauce makes the halal, well at least for me. The sauce was creamy and savory, making the meat and rice it's drizzled over taste even better. Altogether, you get quite the bang for your buck if you order one of the rice platters, as they pack it with so much meat, salad, and even add some fries on top of that! A combo platter comes with a little salad and fries. A hold was placed on the $33.81. The amount was not available to use to order somewhere else. They never released the hold after responding. The delivery guy, Jean was unreachable: 1 856 281 3868 A recording asked for an extension number. This was puzzling. No one ever directly picked up the call. Yet, I picked up the call when the delivery guy Jean called from this same number. I called Halal Munchies, they had no way to reach the delivery guy, Jean. They complained instead that this "always" happened. They wanted me to call the delivery guy, and contact Postmates. I said I tried, and neither is reachable. They made no other effort to deliver my order as charged. When Postmates finally did an online support/help, response (see attachment) they minus the total charge of $33.81, saying they'll return $30.51 which will take 1 -3 days! I ordered today, because I wanted food now, not 1 - 3 days later. Postmates minused the tip amount to the delivery guy, Jean, who never delivered the charged orders. This is my first, and last time, for using Postmates. This is my first, and last order from Halal Munchies at this location. I'd love to give them 5 stars, but their lack of consistency is very disappointing. When they're good, they're very good. This chicken over rices is good, BUT I didn't like what happen to me today. I ordered 2 chicken over rice and told the person over the phone, 1 with no white sauce. AND guess what happen, there white sauce on both. When did Halal Munchies start charging a card fee?? It was not even busy.
