I've ordered take out from the Haldi in Surprise so we decided to try this location. We were craving tandoori paneer and this place definitely delivered. The kabob was incredibly soft and crispy on the outside with the perfect amount of char. The naan was very soft and the paneer butter masala was very creamy and flavorful as well. We decided to try something new for drinks! Both the bengal tiger and the tulsi spritz were unique in their tastes and definitely Indian inspired. We enjoyed both with our meal. My daughter and I decided to have a food adventure date night and Indian was what we decided on. The establishment was super clean with bolliwood music videos playing on multiple televisions. Their delivery robot is a cool feature, but the food and service are great. This place has yet to disappoint, via delivery through third party or dining in the restaurant. Through delivery service they wrap their containers in plastic wrap, which in my option with those containers is not needed, but ensures zero leakage. Dining in is always a pleasant experience, the restaurant is always clean, quick to seat, and frequent check in's for taking order and seeing how everything is going. Spice levels are slightly mild in my opinion, I expect a 4/5 should make me almost cry and a 5 barely edible. Their fours are spiced perfectly with a little kick for me. We have gone to the Peoria location but wanted to try the Surprise location. Went for a late lunch on Saturday and loved everything about it. We got an order of Samosas and Pakora for appetizers. Bothe we're freshly prepared an very tasty. For the meal we got Lamb Vindaloo and Chicken Kabob. The Vindaloo is as good as I have ever had. The kabob was also perfection. We got both medium spicy and it was pretty firey. If you're. A chili head the hot may be more to your taste. The garlic nan went perfectly with the meal and a Tajma Hal beer is perfect to wash it down. The atmosphere was nice and the service was superb. The owner came to our table to ask how the meal was. Straining to give 3 stars. I've had Indian food all over the country, even made my own. Disappointed overall here however. Good rice and naan, but leftover dry precooked white meat chicken thrown into tikka masala sauce with way too much dairy just isn't how it's done. Pakoras quite dry although good side dipping sauces. Pistachio kulfi apparently pre-frozen for some time, as it was not at all smooth as it is supposed to be and contained large ice crystals. Very nice wait staff, but we will be looking elsewhere for better food. read more

This restaurant is excellent! When you place a large order the quality at many Indian restaurants can suffer with food arriving oily, lacking flavor, or being primarily gravy. That is NOT the case at Haldi. I loved the entire experience and the food was a major hit among our entire group. Came here on a Saturday evening! Expected rush but it was calm and most of the tables were empty. The staff was friendly and made us feel comfortable. We ordered the Veg. Spring rolls for appetizer, Garlic Nan, Malai Kofta, Veg Kadai and Dal tadka for entree and Mango Lassi for dessert! The quantity was amazing and the food was sumptuous!! We went there on Thursday night, the day after I started having severe diarrhea with vomiting, severe abdominal cramps and high fever of 102 f. On Saturday night I had blood in my diarrhea I ended up in ER after lots of blood works and cat scan, I was diagnosed with bacterial infections in my colons. It did look really nice though and like a place you could relax and enjoy a good meal and a couple of drinks. I went with the butter honey chicken and garlic naan. I haven't eaten much Indian food, and it's been only okay in the past, but this place changed that. It was incredible. At first I was upset because it looked like they were kinda skimpy on the chicken for the price but that sauce was out of this world. So much flavor and scooping it up with the naan was the jam. This place is decent. There's plenty of seating and the service was excellent. They kept checking in on us throughout our meal. We got the manchurian which was absolutely delicious. We also got the masala fries which were really good too. The malai kofta was okay, maybe we should've gotten it spicier but we weren't sure how spicy the medium would be.
