Less spicy this time which is just an observation not a real concern. Last I was there which was about 3 months ago the food was better and more reasonably priced. I ordered the exact same thing and it was 3 dollars more. The rice was about a 3rd less And the chicken tikka masala had much less chicken than before. I was very disappointed with my food pick-up today. My order pick-up for $282 was 40 minutes late. It was ordered online the day before for an 11:30 AM pick-up and I didn't leave with the food order until 12:10 PM. The 11:30 AM scheduled pick-up was important because I had to bring the food to feed a physician's practice nearby. Each healthcare professional has a specific time to eat, and lunch is supposed to begin at 11:45 AM. I arrived at the office 30 min late. Needless to say the physicians and office staff were very upset. What made matters even worse was that they had no plastic forks or knives to offer me. Instead they gave me spoons. In addition, they had no napkins to provide me as well stating that they were waiting for a supply shipment. Really? The restaurant staff had absolutely no sense of urgency. This was the first time we ever ate at Biryani Bowl and it won't be the last. The restaurant was very clean and had the music at a a nice level. I enjoy Indian music. We went over the menu and it has everything. Vegetarian, lamb, chicken. The lady at the counter was very sweet and attentive. The gentleman who brought out our food was also very kind and everyone was happy to be there. The food was great, we ordered the butter chicken not spicy. It came to the table perfect. The samosas were great in my opinion. Husband said he would have like them cooked a little longer. The gobi was good, I'm just not a fan of green peppers. It was crispy and the sauce was very good. I do think we could have had a little more rice but I like a lot of rice and not a deal breaker. I'm sure if we would have asked we could have gotten more. We spoke with Sushant to set up a catering order for a kids birthday party. He and the team prepared food at two spice levels, both were on point - kids enjoyed the mild level and adults enjoyed the medium level. Food itself was very tasty, paneer on the paneer wraps cooked just right, soft bread to complement the plump aloo tikki patties and sauce on the sliders, and the biryani was exceptional as well. I like that Biryani Bowl has vegan options, as my friend says - it's rare to have anything vegan west of i17. In my opinion, the best thing on the (vegan) menu is the vegan cauliflower wings, honestly, they should serve this as a main, with a side of rice, because that's what I'm going to ask for next time I'm around. The mediocre, and I really dislike disliking on a business that offers vegan, but, what's with the dine in service served on paper plates and plastic utensils. I've been attempting to be a proper yelper and take a few photos, but honestly couldn't bring myself to photograph the food as there really was no good way to present it like this. The vegan noodle dish was super "meh" and I can't urge you enough to not order it. It was essentially spaghetti noodles, lightly salted, light oiled, shreds of carrot and some other unrecognizable shredded veggies in it. When I say unrecognizable, the few shreds of veg I found were like a 1 to 25 ratio of noodles to veg and they were shredded so thin, I didn't know what exactly they were, carrot was only recognizable because of the orange color. I enjoyed the vegan chickpea masala curry. The stuffed potato masala bread was a thin bread with a layer of paste inside, which I assume was potato masala curry, I was expecting "stuffed" part to mean stuffed with a few chunks of potato. It was tasty though, just different than what I would consider "stuffed". The big winner for me was the cauliflower wings. I ordered the sweet chili wings, it was probably a spice level 5 out of 10 and there was enough sauce to almost call it a curry itself - I'd 100% come back for these cauliflower wings, order it with a bread and / or a side of rice and call it a day. They served us a couple of bottles of Kirklands brand water with our meal, which TBH is better than tap in most establishments, that's one for the pro side of this pro/con list. read more

Biryani Bowl is a newly opened Indian Restaurant located in a strip mall off of Bell Road by many car dealers. This isn't a fancy place and is mainly take out but but can dine indoors or on the small patio. The food is mostly North Indian Style and on different days of the week besides the menu they also offer many specials. We ordered three weekend specials and a fish curry off the regular menu. We weren't asked about spice levels. In general all the food was fresh and flavorful. The food did have heat to it but was mild heat. We tried mirapakaya chicken (stir fried chicken appetizer), chule batura (chick peas with fried bread), mughial chicken (in onion curry...this was melt in mouth tender), and fish curry. Everything was at least GOOD. Proteins were on the small side in the main dishes. The curry leaves stay in the dishes. I was going to give 4 stars. The flavors run a little more fragrant with cloves and other exotic spices. The chicken in the onion curry was really great and was melt in your mouth tender. Most people would give give the fish curry 3 or less stars....Flavor-wise it is a little different and has less sour and less heat but it. The fish was cooked very nicely but was only a few flakes of fish in it. A different new unique Indian Restaurant! 3 Stars means A-OK on Yelp. Worthy of a try! 3.5 stars read more

Solid contributor in the takeout Indian arena. Restaurant has zero atmosphere, a former Subway restaurant with sticky floors and very few tables. There are a couple of iron tables on the patio, where I dined outside. I was very impressed with the lack of tomato taste and color in the chicken tikka masala sauce, apparently they puree the tomatoes and onions to make this sauce. It is creamy, heavenly and quite drinkable, once you've eaten all the meat! Single serve price $12.99 and portion is 16 oz cup plus small bowl of rice. Chicken is very tender, with slight evidence of the tandoori oven. Some green pepper and onion pieces are in the sauce. I love this place for Indian food. I was not encouraged the first time I went as it took almost 50 minutes to get takeout when I went in person. This was with no one in the dining room but as the time went by about 7 people just waiting for takeout. The place is also not comfortable for in person dining the floor and tables were sticky. I recommend take out or delivery instead. It is not the cheapest you can find and the food is a little light on protein but the flavors are really good. They are also generous on the naan which makes me happy and I like that the rice does not have fennel in it. Occasionally I have found chunks of spices left in the food which should not happen but other than that it is worth a try. read more

Great experience! This was my first time trying Indian food so I didn't know what I was exactly looking for. After doing research on things I like, I went with the paneer tikka Masala, samosa and to drink, a mango lassi. Wow what a great first time try! Tried the Veg Manchurian momos fusion dish and it was terrific! Both the sauce and filling were tasty and at first I thought the portion to be small for $10, but each momo was pretty heavy and I actually had leftovers. Garlic naan was fresh and delicious as well.
