I'm sending this to my attorney for damages to my credit and not honoring there warrant. definitely don't by from them it will be a frustrating experience . do better lake country barge this is pathetic.

I had to park my boat somewhere else when it arrived because it wouldn't go on lift. After having to move lift further out ourselves, we put the boat on it. Then a cable snapped and ripped through our brand new lift. My husband and I saw a crew members after who wasn't even an employee pull a piece out and spent about 10 minutes trying to put it back. It was a pin that holds a pully for the cable to ride on. When he put pin back, the pully was not in place and was inside the tube. I let them know what happened. They said they don't service my lift brand and that's not how they adjust the legs. I know that's not how they should adjust legs but it's what this inexperienced mad did. It caused about $1,800 in damage to my lift. And then they wanted us to pay for them putting out lift in. When we refused, they sued us. Beware. The owner never contacted me either. He has his office manager email me.

Twice they told me it was fixed but in less than an hour on the water, the same problem arose both times. It was finally fixed after I called the engine manufacturer and had the corporate service director contact the dealership to walk them through the repair. Awful! Do not use. Ever!

I explained to the owner the symptoms to the best of my ability. They told me they would be able to get to it in a week. about a week and a half later i decided to call and check progress. apparently they had started the troubleshooting process and had to stop because they had questions which again i answered to the best of my ability. about a half week later i got a call saying it was complete and that the cooling intake vents were clogged $200 some dollars. i picked up the boat happy it was fixed and couldnt get on water for about 3 weeks, busy. Finally i was able to get on water and within minutes the alarm was going off. frustrated and unsure of what to do we got off lake and went home. My wife was googling the symptoms and we found that the honda 4 stroke outboard has a fuel water separator with a float alarm. we watched the video on how to disasemble, empty, reassemble, and boom problem solved. My complaint isnt with the time i didnt have the boat almost 3 weeks. its the fact I paid 200.00 and the problem wasnt solved. I would liike to believe that when you take a boat in for service that there would be some type of minimum check list a mechanic especiaily a certifed mechanic would preform to rule out the issue and or even find others. The fact I waited 3 weeks for the expert to wash out my intakes charge me $200.00 and not solve the problem is what chaps my ass. My wife and i are not mechanics but also not inept. The fact we were able to fix the problem via a youtube speaks volume to the fact that they are not qualified to repair a cardboard box.

After we used the jet ski, we waited on the owner for over a half hour. We he arrived, he was rude, yelled and told me to back up the jet ski as he had to move his trailer onto the cement ramp. I moved back per his directive, he yelled again and told me I was too shallow and probably ruining the jet ski. He pulled it out, looked at it and told me the jet ski was fine. He then explained he was late as one of his other jet ski's sunk in another lake. During this ordeal, I had 3 other people witness this situation. One week later I received a bill in the mail with an additional $600 charge applied to my credit card. I immediately called to find out why and was told rocks had ruined the propeller when I backed up into the shallow water. Recall, this was the owners demand. I explained the situation, but they insisted it was my fault. I called the credit card company to dispute charges. Good Time Rentals informed the credit card company that we did not pay for 'their insurance,' therefore, we were liable. I spoke to Good Time Rentals and asked for an itemized repair bill. At first, they told me they sent it out for repair. Now, they claim, they fixed it in-house and do not have an itemized bill. If they really a repair, they would have a bill or a bill for parts used. Again, I've called the credit card company with a fraud complaint. I've also issued a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Beware, DO NOT RENT equipment from Good Time Rentals. You will have a 'horrible time' in dealing with their dishonest business practices.

I'm not sure if it was a manufacturer defect, or if it wasn't assembled properly by Good Time Rentals (also known as lakeside solutions). The planks which the boat sit on consistently lean to the point that the boat looks like it's going to fall over (see photos of company under google review for my specific lift). Unfortunately Kathy and Ken have been COMPLETELY unresponsive in my request to get this fixed. They admitted something was amiss with the lift and haven't seen the issue often, but have failed to offer any solutions or assistance even though the lift is still under warranty. Both of the owners screen my calls and will not answer their phones. Every once in a great while I receive a text message they'll take a look at it, but they've never made good on this. Long story short, don't touch this company with a ten foot pole. I'm also filing a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and Hewitt lifts about the TERRIBLE customer service I've experienced over the last two years.
