Cute little bakery that is gluten-free and vegan - it's great to have alternative options for baked goods and sweet treats. This location in south Tampa is cute, it's located in a pretty busy little plaza with other shops, but that makes for great foot traffic. The staff here has always been super nice.

    Breakfast Quesadilla...so good and crunchy
    Charnell S.

Lately, I have been seeing HaleLife Bakery display and I realized it's close by. I went there for breakfast. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla, unsweetened ice tea and chocolate ganache cupcake. The breakfast quesadilla is more southwest like with corn, black beans and spicy mayo. I really enjoyed this quesadilla. Chocolate ganache cupcake was very chocolatey and very good. My iced tea helped cool myself down because it's very hot outside. FYI --the parking lot gets filled up quickly.

All gluten free and vegan bakery - amazing! Very allergens friendly with great labeling. I got two donuts and a pumpkin cinnamon roll cookie. The cookie was honestly a little disappointing, I didn't really taste the pumpkin at all. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch donut and the chai latte donut were both good! I would said that this is a solid option with a beautiful amount of variety for people with dietary restrictions but maybe not the best I've ever had in the category of vegan gf dessert. Employees were super kind and prompt. Small inside space, I'd say it's more of a grab and go type place. Also, get there early if there's anything specific you really want cuz stuff does seem to sell out as day goes on.

Can't believe this was dairy free! It has a cheesy center!

This place was an absolute dream for me - I have a gluten and dairy allergy and it is very difficult to find dessert avoiding both allergies. The staff was incredibly kind and upbeat. It is a cute little shop that was quaint and calm inside. It was also very clean. I was a kid in a candy store! I started off with the Toast-yay cookie - it was devine. Usually gluten free bakery items are dry crumble but this moist and absolutely delicious. I also had the red velvet coffee drink and it tasted like liquid red velvet cake. The garlic cheesy bread (frozen section) is amazing! I can't believe it's dairy free. I cannot recommend this place enough for people with food allergies!

Breakfast Sami w/ sausage and avocado
    Yeilyn M.

I ordered the hazelnut cold brew with oat milk and it was delicious. The breakfast Sami with sausage and avocado was good but too small for the price, in my opinion. The bread on the sandwich was very soft and not crumbly like gluten free bread usually is.

    Beignets
    Jenny S.

Very underwhelming especially for the price. Ordered the beignets expecting them to be fresh only to discover they had been previously frozen then warmed up because the inside of them were still thawing out/cold. Not a ton of space to sit and enjoy your food, but the staff were super sweet though.

My child has celiac and other food allergies so we are always on the lookout for new places that carry items that they can enjoy. We have a couple of bakeries up near Orlando that they go to on occasion that have some really good items. This one came up in my search for safe foods for them. they didn't really want to have a meal so the bakery made sense because we could pick something up to bring home with us. We talked to the employee at the counter to verify that everything they had was gluten and soy free. Their items are also free from most other allergens as well. they have a sign up that says to ask about items that are coconut free. They are located in a small shopping mall on the backside from where we approached and parking was crowded. We were able to find a space and then walked inside. They are a corner building and they have outdoor seating as well as some indoor seating. The menus are well displayed, and the pastries are in a case by the counter. They also have a cooler out front that has more of their savory items so that you can take them home. Each of the three of us chose a pastry item and my child's partner ordered them the soft pretzels with cheddar cheese, dipping sauce. Those items were also safe for them to eat. The pretzels smell fabulous and they did both enjoy them. My child's partner really enjoyed the item they got and while my child enjoyed the cupcake they ordered they did comment that it was a bit dry. This is an issue you can have when making gluten-free products. I ordered the Lava which is essentially a chocolate brownie with a chocolate cream on top. The young lady working in the counter told me this was very chocolatey. Prices for what they have on their menu are in line with what we usually find at bakeries like this. My brownie, which had a very good chocolate flavor but was not as overpowering as it's gluten powered competitors. My brownie also felt a little dry and it was somewhat crumbly. We do expect this, and I really enjoyed the taste of it. Hopefully when we are down in the Tampa area again, we will be able to stop and try something different. They also have a second location in Saint Pete. If you are in the market for gluten-free foods that are very allergen friendly than this place is totally worth trying. Everything on their menu sounded good.

This was a cute spot we found while visiting the Tampa area. My wife has celiac so having a place that caters to gluten free allergies is amazing. The cookies and crème donut I had was very delicious. The beignet was amazing per my wife. Forgot to take pictures of the treats and we ate them really fast.

Oh wow! HaleLife is amazing! If you have a gluten allergy this place is 100% safe and FUN too. There are plenty of options for a nice breakfast. The GF bagels are light and taste like the real thing. The vegan sausage is perfect too. They also have great coffee. The restaurant is cozy and quiet and a nice place to relax. The staff is very knowledgeable and will steer you in the right direction. If you want a healthy satisfying meal that is vegan and gluten free, check it out.

I haven't had a decent cinnamon roll in years but I found this gluten free delicious place today! They have frozen options of cakes, cinnamon rolls, and a full bakery.

Three Cheese Grilled Cheese with kettle chips

Saw this bakery advertised on Facebook. I happened to be in the area for an appointment and they were conveniently across the street. Staff was very friendly and informative. Everything is gluten and dairy free. It's heaven for my stomach. I ordered the three cheese grilled cheese. It was made with their gf flat bread and cut in half. The cheese is vegan it was delicious and made me almost cry because I haven't had grilled cheese in so long. I also ordered a chai and added maple spice and oat milk. I also enjoyed the butter beer cupcake which is seasonal. It is a bit more pricey but that's because America charges more for healthy foods vs fake chemical filled food. Definitely worth it. Hopefully they open a location near the USF area at some point since this location is nearly 30 minutes from me with traffic. They said they should be getting delivery services soon. So here's hoping. Definitely would eat from again.

THESE ARE SO GOOD OMG You would have never been able to tell they are vegan They are nice and soft, thick/dense cakey donuts, texture is amazing My favorites were the Cinnamon Toast Crunch and blueberry cheesecake ones Then lemon raspberry, cosmic brownie, and Oreo Icing on all was super delicious Fair pricing for how great they are and filling

I found my new favorite vegan and gluten-free bakery! It was also voted the best bakery in the bay as well. They have 4 locations in South Tampa, downtown St Pete, Clearwater, and Carrollwood. The staff was super friendly and I love how they have samples for you to try as well! My favorite was the Samoa donut but it looks like it's only available this month. What I ordered: - Samoa Donut - Toast Yay Cookie - Oreo Cheesecake Donut - Strawberry Cheesecake Donut

First off, the crunch is so loud it could qualify as a sound effect in an action movie. I took one bite and half expected someone to yell "CUT!" The chicken itself is juicy, but let's be honest it's really just a vehicle for that bang bang sauce, which tastes like sweet, spicy, and "text your ex you've changed" all rolled into one. I told myself I'd share. That was a lie. A bold faced, shameless lie. The plate hit the table and suddenly I turned into a territorial raccoon guarding its last meal. By the end, my fingers were sticky, my dignity was gone, and I was seriously considering ordering a second round like I hadn't just embarrassed myself in public.

This is a new dish, if you can even call it one. Literally two slices of tuna, no side of sauce which it's supposed to have, a bunch of old cabbage for filling (even though the new container is half the size as it is), and what could be nothing else but soggy potato chips (yes, literally they put in chips, I don't even know how else to put it except it literally had chips in it). Pathetic. Completely pathetic.

The service is consistently impeccable, the food is both beautiful and absolutely delicious, and the restaurant itself offers a gorgeous atmosphere with stunning waterfront views. It's clear that every detail matters to them. They reserve a special table for gifts, have even printed custom "Happy Birthday" menus for us, and on our most recent visit, Chef Margaret came out personally to wish the birthday girl a happy birthday. Our servers were phenomenal. They anticipated every need, kept everything running smoothly for such a large group, and never missed a beat. Coordinating a party our size is no small task, yet they made it look easy while making every single person feel cared for. The host made us feel incredibly unwelcome. We asked for a table and she informed us there weren't any (which is fine, a little attitude but I get it we didn't have a reservation) so we went to the lounge area. While there, we saw online that they did have availability so we booked. We spent over 30 mins in the lounge and no one took our order. When it was time for our table the host was aggressive as soon as she recognized us, said that the system online was wrong and that there are no tables. So we went back to the lounge.. honestly to figure out where to go next. Shortly after we got a message saying our table was ready, when my husband asked about it, she told him to sit back down that she will tell us when it's truly ready. Anyways, she came back reluctantly, saying that I guess people canceled so we can go in. The server was nice but was rarely there and would take a long time doing things like bringing menu.

**Sunda -- Asian Fusion (2nd visit)**…read more Went back to Sunda specifically for their limited-time Caviar Sunday, and it did not disappoint -- but let's start with the food that came before it. We opened with the **tiger shrimp tempura** -- candied walnuts and a creamy honey aioli. Smaller than I expected, roughly half-dollar sized, but tender, sweet, and generous in portion. The candied walnuts and honey aioli combo leaned sweeter than a classic honey walnut shrimp, with a little bang bang shrimp energy minus the spice. Trying to pace ourselves for dessert, we kept the rest light: the signature crispy rice (Wagyu and spicy tuna versions, split two apiece), The Great White (escolar), and the lemongrass beef lollipops. The Great White was well-balanced and delicious. The lemongrass beef -- sliced NY strip wrapped around a lemongrass stalk with ginger soy -- was solid but not a standout; the lemongrass flavor was subtle and the chili barely registered. Fair warning: it comes out well past medium-rare since it's wrapped and cooked that way, and the server didn't ask for a temperature preference. Good, but not something I'd reorder. The crispy rice was tasty but not a personal favorite -- the Wagyu and spicy tuna toppings themselves were great, just not sold on the crispy rice base. The standout of the savory round was the lobster Wagyu roll -- lobster and Wagyu tataki with a duck pâté aioli, sort of a surf-and-turf sushi roll. Pricier than the other rolls, but the combination justified it. Definitely ordering that again. **Now, the main event: Caviar Sunday.** Our server mentioned this particular caviar brand is a favorite of a certain pop star's, which was a fun detail. The tower itself was a showpiece -- diced and quartered dragon fruit, lychee, blueberries, crispy rice balls (first time trying those, loved them), plus passionfruit and ube sauces on the side. It came with turon (Filipino plantain egg rolls) and vanilla ice cream, essentially a build-your-own sundae kit with caviar mixed in. Caviar with ice cream sounded strange going in, but the salt-sweet balance worked. Genuinely unique, and I'd order it again without hesitation. It's not cheap, but it's roughly half the price of their standalone caviar entrée for the same amount of caviar -- so relatively speaking, it's the smarter way to get it. Service was excellent throughout -- good pacing suggestions so we didn't over-order before dessert, and when we couldn't finish the tower, our server packed the leftovers carefully on ice so we could enjoy round two at home. My one regret: ordering a double espresso with dessert. Good on its own, but it clashed with the tropical, ice cream-heavy flavors -- that one's on me, not the kitchen. Sunda remains a place I'll keep coming back to.
