I had an alignment done as well as a few other things. When I picked the car up I wasn't feeling well, so when I noticed that I felt like the car was still pulling to the right, I wasn't up for turning around to take it back. I tried calling the dealership after hours a few times, but there was no answering machine for the general mailbox, like the auto attendant said. Also, when I chose the option for service the system disconnected me twice. I called again the next morning and had to leave a voicemail. I never received a call back. I had to call that evening myself. Again. I made an appointment for that Saturday. I brought my car in and after almost two hours, Barnes told me my car was fine and didn't need any adjustment. He handed me a piece of paper with the alignment readout. I asked him what the information on the paper meant and he responded with I don't know. Then he started to read it to me, "this is your caster and toe. Caster and toe". I told him I could read the paper, but it didn't explain why anything. Why would you hand me a piece of paper you can't explain? ( I didn't say this following part, but this is how it made me feel.) Is it because I'm a woman and I'm just supposed to take your word for it? He quickly copped a larger attitude and became very condescending. He took me to another service writer Tom, who for me saved the situation. He was very nice and made me feel like I wasn't crazy for bringing my car back because I felt it pulling. He called the service tech and asked him a bunch of questions and then offered to have the service manager ride in the car with me to see what it was I was feeling. I told him no thank you, I just want to leave. If it continues, I'll just bring it back. I stewed over the way Barnes treated me the rest of the day. This isn't my first issue with him, but he isn't as knowledgeable as other service writers, and when questioned he becomes condescending and defensive. I don't think he understands that the customer is being asked to spend money, sometimes a lot of it. You need to be able to explain what it's for and why it's important. read more

So I am watching a car where the owner purchased a warranty with the dealer that is supposed to cover her tires. They give a lovely answer of "Oh ma'am we dont know how long it could take to replace your tire it could be several hours. We have no way to know how long IT COULD TAKE TO PROCESS THE WARRANTY PAPERWORK"!!! Meanwhile Im looking at a senior driving on a donut spare who purchased a warranty thinking it was there to protect her when she had an issue. Listening to the conversation was absolutely enraging. Yes it was a lady but that does not mean kick into 'blinker fluid' mode. They know it should take 30-45 minutes at the most to change a tire. They have appointments open but hey it could be 5 or 6 hours. As with my last 4 car purchases avoid Haley Branded dealers.... I can go into detail of purchasing my wife's car at the sales table in the middle of Haley Toyota if we need a better example of bad service... Yes I did and it was priceless when the Sales manager came over and ask why we were leaving and I told him it was to pick our new car up across town. read more

Haley GMC use todo all my work. I really liked there service department. When I decided to sale my truck, Haley GMC was the first place I went to. I got a price from a member of the sales team, and week later I came in and asked for the same individual who was present and available and was told that I had to deal with someone new. I asked to speak to the manager Barry Moore and found I was. He was extremely rude and refused to allow me to work with who I was working with week ago. Based on Barry's attitude and disrespect I can not honestly refer Haley GMC. The situation has put a bad taste in my mouth. I ended up going to Dominion Chevrolet now Rick Hendrick Chevrolet and working with Paul there used car manager, he was amazing to work with. read more

I had a recall form that I turned in for reimbursement and was never called back by the business office. It's been a month. I visited on May 30, 2016 but the survey says I visited June 24, 2016. I would really like to know if I was able to get my reimbursement back for recall repairs made over 3 years ago. I took my 2009 GMC Yukon Denali in because it's still under warranty and the check engine light came on. There was also some intermittent squeaking coming from the rear drivers side of my truck so I asked them to check that out. That night they called me back and said that there was a failure with the vent valve and that all 4 shocks / struts had gone bad and needed to be replaced before they could further diagnose the intermittent squeaking coming from the rear of my truck. The vent valve replacement would be covered under warranty, but the shocks / struts were not covered and they would cost $2k to replace. Now, my truck had just passed inspection with flying colors 5 months prior and I had not noticed a significant change in ride quality, just the intermittent squeaking, so I felt they were trying to take advantage of me. I got the vent valve replaced under warranty and declined the shocks/struts. It cost me my $100 deductible and $79.95 for them to (mis)diagnose bad shocks/struts. The next day I took my truck up to Firestone and had them inspect my shocks / struts for $ 9.95 ($70 less than Haley). After a full inspection of my truck, they told me that while they advise people to change their shocks/struts every 60k-70k miles, my shocks / struts were perfectly fine and did not need to be replaced. There was some slight leakage but it was normal and nothing out of the ordinary that would call for my shocks/struts to NEED to be replaced. I am a young military widow with 3 young children that I am trying to provide for on my own. I think it's absolutely deplorable how Haley GMC tried to take advantage of me. Thank goodness I have some common sense and got a second opinion before dishing out $2k on repairs that were unnecessary. read more

Out of the times I've brought my vehicle for service, they seem to miss issues when they are small, but less than a month later they find them when they say it's past a simple fix. I am thoroughly disgusted with this dealership. I took my car in because it was flooded with water which was the oddest thing to start. But the worst part is when I picked my car up after the repair, they did not bother to detail my car or even at the least vacuum the water out of my floors and my carpet and mats had soured by the time I got my car. They didn't even move the towel I had laid down to try to soak up the water. I have had nothing but problems with this dealership and car since the very first day I picked it up. I do not get compensated in anyway for the inconvenience that they cause me by having to bring the car back and forth to the dealership. I purchased this car in June and have not been able to enjoy since I've had it. It has been to the dealership each month for some type of problem. I am so tired of dealing with this that I am ready to turn the car back and go with another dealership. I will never refer this dealership to any of my friends because when I told my salesman about all of the problems his response to me was 'after we sale the car they don't really have anything to do with the problems or the service'. But I had to remind him that the salesman and service department are a team and if one part of the team is horrible, the entire team is horrible. I am so dissatisfied with this dealership. read more

Haley USED to be a decent place for auto service however the last 2 services I took vehicles in for were extremely sub par. First they misdiagnosed the A/C on a truck I brought in ($200 lighter in the pocket & my A/C didn't work 30 days later). Next was the worse experience I've ever had dealing with any auto repair shop. Tom was the service writer I dealt with on the second occasion. He was extremely rude when dropping off the vehicle to follow that up Tom did not call to authorize the repair as requested. To top it all off the technician damaged the connector for the ABS module & told us the preprogrammed Dorman unit we purchase was defective. We had a another technician bench test the unit confirming that it was not in fact defective (also the parts seller confirmed the unit was not defective as well). So ultimately Tom charged us twice to install our ABS module & a diagnostic fee to tell us our unit was defective even though it was not. Chris has taken over as the Service Manager...back in the day he was an excellent service writer but now he is just an awful manager. I did wait almost 6 months to call back but my first 2 call/messages the day after it happened & a week later weren't returned...and I don't like to be rude waited until I could calmly discuss the matter. His solution was dispute it with visa because he wouldn't even consider returning the double charge on a service that wasn't even properly done once. Remember you can deal with any authorized Buick/GMC dealer for factory warranty service to avoid dealing with these kind of nightmares. If you deal with Haley I'd recommend avoiding Tom if you don't like rude service. read more

I called about our keyless entry unit that has not been working right. It's for an old Saturn that was purchased used from a private seller years ago, we didn't originally buy from Haley. The Parts department was very helpful, letting me know they usually could get them working and if not, I could order a new one if desired (he gave me the price over the phone for that too.) I took it in and they were able to clean it up, replace a small piece, and check it. They had me out the door in 5 minutes, saving me a good amount of money. They were great! **as a side note, the five stars are for the parts department only. I didn't know exactly where to go when I got there, so I went to the service department. The intake guy seemed quick to write up my car, have me drive it into the service garage, and when another person working took the time to listen to why I was there and offer to take care of it, the intake guy in the garage ushered him away saying, "They told her over the phone to bring it in, we're going to write it up and take it down." I don't know what all that meant, but it seemed like he was trying to make business for himself that I didn't authorize, because he had it written and tagged in the three minutes it took me to go inside and talk to someone who listened and figure out where it was I needed to be. Maybe it was an off day or something, but the impression I got was not good for return service in their service dept. I'm young-ish, female, and admittedly know little about cars, and I wouldn't use their service department without my husband because in that three minute interaction, I got the feeling I was about to be taken advantage of, as many auto shops tend to do. read more

Dropped my car off at 8am for diagnostics regarding audio issue. Did not hear from them so I called and they said speakers were bad but not in stock so I told them not to order speakers (something must have caused 2 front speakers to go bad but they did not know what). Showed up 3 hours later and my car was not ready for pickup (speakers and radio were removed) so was promised to be ready the next morning and they promised to call me. Next day by 2pm I had not heard from them so I called them and was told they just needed to finish the paperwork. I picked up the car and got no apologies. Paid for diagnostic and left. Got home and noticed grease stains on floor carpeting. Sent email to company via their website and got a "sales" call from the sales manager, Never have heard from the "service" manager. Don't take your car there for service!!! read more

I made an appointment with Haley for 9:25 today, Dec. 30 for two issues. One was to check the noise cancellation system on our 2013 Buick Encore (it's the only american car to use active noise cancellation to quiet drive-train noise on the highway). The vehicle noise seems to have increased considerably at highway speeds. The other issue was a safety recall involving a seat weld. We received a call the yesterday to confirm an appointment at 9 a.m.(!). That was okay, even though the time was wrong. Five minutes later we received another call from the same person confirming our appointment for 9:30 a.m.(!!!). We told her she just called us a couple of minutes ago to confirm a 9:00 a.m. time and she said "I did??" I arrived at Haley at 9:25 a.m. and was greeted by a person who confirmed my name, etc;. I wanted to clarify the issue of the noise cancellation complaint, but he said " all that will be in the computer" and we were joined by another person who checked their computer info and said " you have some noise on the road. . . .". I felt my chest tighten but I clarified the issue around active noise cancellation. Alas, it was clear he had no knowledge of the system and he said I could explain that to my 'advisor'. Apparently these two folks were just "check-ins". Then I was accompanied to a counter in the waiting area where I had to sign-in and then have a seat to await summoning by my 'advisor' (what the heck kind of system is this ??) !! After a few minutes, I was summoned by my 'advisor' who asked the same questions as the 1st two people I encountered. I queried him as to what he knew about my complaint regarding the active noise cancellation system and he looked at his computer info and said "no sound coming from the speakers. ." My chest REALLY tightened and I described the whole issue again and also explained AGAIN how the system is supposed to work. Then I was seated to await further development. After about 90 minutes, a different person called my name and said my recall work (on the seat) was finished. I said ". . what about noise cancellation?" He said "everything checked out fine. oh, fan-noise?" I said "NO, I'm talking anbout the active noise cancellation". He replied again that "everything checked out". As he spoke, he was walking away and it was plain he was trying to disengage as soon as possible. It was also plain that HE did not know what I was talking about, either! When I entered and started the vehicle, the fan motor had been turned on full blast, so I know they were checking fan noise which was COMPLETELY UNRELATED to my complaint!!!. I don 't think I would take a Red Ryder wagon to them for repair. Of course Haley will respond that "we've been in existence for 40 years, blah blah. . " but for HOW MANY of those years has your service dept. been a DISASTEROUS UNORGANIZED MESS?? Regarding my complaint, I would think you would be able to check if an out-of-phase noise was being generated to cancel out the engine noise at highway speeds which is what the system is supposed to do! read more

Completely unacceptable. I took my truck in for an Oil change and when they were done I got in my truck and instantly noticed that I had No Brakes anymore. I mean my brake pedal went all the way down to the floor and when I asked them what happen they told me nothing happen and they didn't notice anything was wrong with them. I in returned asked how is that possible when they had to drive my truck back up to the office from the shop? In return I was told that they didn't notice anything was wrong. Then when we got it back down to the shop they to me my brake line was busted. So of course I ask well what did y'all do to it and was told nothing but THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY BRAKES WHEN I LEFT MY TRUCK SO HOW DID THIS HAPPEN, nobody knows smh. I have gave a lot of money to this shop over the last couple of years and I trusted them. They didnt offer me anything and said there was nothing they could do but charge me to fix and I just dont feel that this is right. Nothing was wrong with my brakes before but when it was all said and done I had No Brake at all. IM NEVER GOING BACK!!!!! read more

I have been coming to Haley GMC for a couple of years. On last year I discovered after months of service that my repair work was 'shotty' and requested that it be repaired. After it was found that the work completed was not in standards, I was informed that I could return to have the work corrected. Needless to say it took 3 visits, all on Saturdays. After sitting for 3 hours the first time I was informed that a part needed to be ordered. After sitting for about 2 hours on the second visit, I was informed that the wrong part was ordered and needed to reschedule. I was happy that by the 3rd visit the work was corrected. Of course I didn't have to pay for the repairs, but It would have been nice not to have to go through wasting 3 Saturday's for something that should have never been done. read more

Don't think twice-- drive your car right past this place and go to a real mechanic shop. I was out of town and my wife had some fuel line issues with her GMC Terrain. She had to take it there 4 times, it cost us $600 before they gave an additional $1200 estimate. I came back into town, took it to a different shop, and the issue was a broken seal on the gas cap. A $30 fix. Been perfect since. Barnes (service manager) and his goon squad at Haley auto are con artists. They lied and said they did a smoke test to determine an air leak. Or they did do the leak test and realized it was only $30 so they made up something else. I checked one of the parts they put on-- it was used!!! I took it off and put on a new one myself. Haley GMC service shop should be punished for the lies they spew to unsuspecting customers. It's a shame that a business can get away with being so deceitful. All their ratings on other sites are pitiful so it's clear that many people are experiencing their thievery. DONT GO!!! read more

I like this dealership due to continuously provided quality service. My car is almost 5 years old and I always service it by this dealership. Great team and great service! Last experience- made an appointment just for oil change. During the multi-point check the Tech detected a minor leak at the water pump and recommended replacement. In a few days was invited back and the water pump was replaced, furthermore on warranty base (2 Month before warranty expiration). I was in an accident and received damage to the rear bumper of my 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe. Having dealt with the service department of Haley GMC before, we dicided to take it toHaley GMC body shop for the damage from my accident. When I picked it up after being repaired and got home and further inspected the repairs I was shocked at what a BAD job was done. There was still a dent in the rear quarter panel that was painted over and a few places that were not painted at all. I also have the towing package on my Tahoe and the correct plug was not replaced. I notified the body shop and they had no problems with me bringing it back in for them to fix the mistakes. After the second trip to the body shop my truck was fixed to my satisfaction. read more

My experience at this dealership was not great, it was due to miscommunication. Initially my car was supposed to be transferred to GMC Hailey Buick (Airport) please keep in the mind both locations have the same name there's one on Midlothian and one on laburnum. My car was towed on a Monday to what I thought was laburnum, so Tuesday morning I receive a call from representative named Barnes Wall he states his name and his my 2010 GMC Terrain, he asked me what the car was doing and said that he would diagnosis it, he never stated his location or price for diagnosing the vehicle, long story short misunderstanding was found out and I sent Tow driver to pick up vehicle to take to correct location. Mr. Barnes gets on the phone and tells me that he will not release the vehicle until I pay $86.95 diagnosis fee, after a long debate I decide to pay the under the circumstances that I was never quoted a price. I drafted an email authorizing the payment and I also wrote a statement he asked that I provide the full credit card number and expiration date along with security code, I told him that its not safe to send confidential banking information via email. I never received the diagnosis report or yet to receive a receipt for service. read more

I have a 2007 Yukon XL and it has almost 160,000 miles on it. It is still in exceptional condition as I have always stayed current with its services at a dealership. I took it in 3-4 months back as I noticed a few oil leaks. I was first told that it was the oil pan, when I brought it home I noticed that it was still leaking so I took it back. I was then told that it was the Oil Cooler gasket so after almost $1000.00 I parked as it is not my main transportation and I travel a lot for work. I noticed a leak in the same spot so when I took it back the service manager told me that even though the leak was in the same area, the previous work that they did was not leaking so it must be something else. So he would have me believe that I had 3 leaks in the same area that leaked the same amount of oil even when he repaired two of them. So this time the mechanic could not find the leak so he put leak detection dye in the oil, which is what he should have done the first time I took it in. Had he, he would know for sure where the leak was coming from. So I was told to drive it for 700 miles and bring it back. I am sure that when I return I will receive another sizable estimate for additional repairs. read more

So disappointing this service center couldn't help us with our urgent needs! We were traveling through the area from 2 1/2 hours out of town when we realized we needed urgent service before our vehicle broke down. I called at 12:03 pm today (Saturday) and explained our travel situation with a family of 4, two young children and a 4 month old puppy and our battery light was blinking indicating a that the alternator was likely the problem. The service man on the other end of the line explained that 4 hours wouldn't be enough time to change an alternator in our Tahoe. The shop closes at 4 pm. Fortunately, we found an auto parts store with an attached service/center garage who was able to replace our alternator. I called them in the same manor and explained that we were traveling and were having an alternator failure. Not only did they fix the alternator in less than 4 hours, but they fixed it in less than ONE HOUR! I know this establishment probably isn't meant to be an emergency fix it center but one has to know there are so few service centers open on a Saturday. I would highly recommend the management consider building in a little time to allow for minor urgencies like our family had! I was so happy to give my money to the other establishment! Will not return or recommend. Had a vehicle towed to the service center. After diagnostic tests, they told me it was transmission related and $1400.00 would fix it. Based on millage, they recommended shelling out another $2600.00 and having a new transmission put in. A week in the shop, I received the call that the $1400 in parts and labor did not fix it, the car was still acting up and the tech thought there was a clutch or clutches out between third and fourth gear. The car would need a new transmission(this time the price was $5400.00) $1400 above the original quote. I told them I would be there to pick up the next day, and have work done locally for a better price. They were adamant they did not want me to be unhappy, so offered to take price down to $4000. When I refused again, and said I would pick up and hung up. They called back again to say they would take $400 off to make me happy. So far so good. Seem very customer oriented and trying to make things right.... Right? Wrong, while driving the car home, my friend and I noticed the transmission was all over the board, nothing gear specific and more indicative of low fluids. We pulled over to check levels, and to our surprise the transmission dipstick and housing was just hanging... Impossible for us to check or fill. When we got home we took off the housing fixed it and checked fluids - 3.5 qts low. We ordered the $15.00 part and filled... Amazing problem fixed! When I questioned the dealership, and how the tech did the work that I paid for with a broken housing, they replied they were aware it was broke and the tech said he held it in place to fill and check.... Really, was it broke when I brought it in or did the tech break it? Is that all it needed $15.00 part and 3.5 qts of fluid or the $1000 bucks I paid... Thank goodness I did not authorized the transmission. read more
