My wife and I recently purchased a used vehicle from Heritage Chevrolet in Chester, Virginia. We are in our 60's and this was our first ever used vehicle purchase. We've always bought new so our trepidation was high going in. I must say it was, without a doubt, the most pleasant car buying experience we have ever had. Keith Black, the sales associate, was honest, personable, straight forward in the price negotiation and he was everything but the a-typical 'used car salesman' most of us dread to deal with. We knew the price of the vehicle we were looking at was good going in but Keith worked with us to make the deal even better. He answered all our questions honestly and fairly. If he didn't know the answer he was quick to find one for us. Never did we feel pressured or put on the spot with a 'take it or leave it' offer. We felt the deal we made was more than fair and are very pleased. The finance manager Tom O'Toole also was outstanding in finding us the best rate possible for our purchase. There was no added pressure to buy additional warranties or other add-ons we weren't interested in. They asked up front if we were interested in any kind of extended warranty, we said no and that was it. Again, very professional. Tom even notified us the following day about a manufacturer recall he found which was outstanding. He told us that he and Keith would ensure our vehicle was taken to the proper dealer, by Heritage, and we would receive a loaner vehicle from Heritage while the vehicle was serviced. There were no owner's manuals with the vehicle so Keith ordered a set from the manufacturer and will have them mailed to our home. Professionalism at its BEST! I cannot say enough good things about my experience w/ the service I rec'd at Heritage Chevrolet in Chester, VA. I lost the steering in my 2007 Pontiac G6, but when I took it to my local non-GM repair shop, they told me it was related a recall and that I should take it to a certified GM dealer for repairs. I began calling local GM dealers to get more information about the recall, but none of them were very helpful. A friend then recommended I take it to Heritage Chevrolet in Chester. Although they are not local to my area, I quickly found out that it was worth the effort to have my car towed to Heritage. From the President & General Manger, Mr. Burchell, to the service dept. and their lovely receptionist in their sparkling clean lobby; the entire staff was courteous, professional, helpful and respectful. They communicated w/ me at every step of the process, which was a refreshing change from my experience w/ other shops & dealers. Because they wanted to keep my car overnight just to be sure the repair was done right, they offered me a brand new Chevy Malibu w/ a full tank of gas as a loaner vehicle so that I would not be inconvenienced until the repairs were complete. I would highly recommend Heritage Chevrolet w/out hesitation! Despite the fact that I did not buy my vehicle there, I've never been treated better by any car dealership and wish that every dealer would treat their customers so well. I picked Heritage because of their excellent vehicle selection, fair pricing, and friendly staff. I contacted Alexander Perry by their website asking what vehicles were in stock that had the features I wanted. He provided me with five 2017 Silverados to choose from that met my exact requirements. We set up an appointment, reviewed the vehicles and I chose the one I liked best. After choosing a 2017 Chevy Silverado LTZ, 4x4, crew cab. Alexander interfaced with the sales managers to help me get a decent price. Before I went into Heritage, I contacted six Chevy/GMC dealers within 150 miles to make sure Heritage was still offering me the best price. Joshua Freedman helped me get all the manufacturer rebates available, which brought the truck within my budget price. He found I no other dealer even offered me, which sweetened the deal a bit more. I known they got me the lowest price possible...I have no buyer regrets! I traded in my 2016 LT Z71 Silverado for an LTZ because they provided a fair trade-in price. I have never felt pressured at Heritage Chevrolet. This is about my ninth or tenth vehicle purchased from them and they always provide a no pressure environment. John Peck found a great loan, good interest rate, and a monthly payment that met my budget. Justin Waggoner, Miranda Collins, and their manager Mike were awesome! I called to schedule an appointment to look at a truck and spoke to Miranda who was very polite. Once my wife and I got to the dealership Miranda connected us with the salesman Justin who showed us the truck. Justin was very professional the whole time and was very knowledgeable of his product and even though he knew what he was talking about he was never cocky nor pushy and really made us feel like he was there to work for us! We were there several hours and my wife had left to take care of an errand. Justin could see that I had been there for several hours and had no lunch so he took it upon himself to go into the employee lounge and fix me a sandwich! This is what I call excellent customer service! It felt like I was buying a car from a neighbor and in the end my wife and I ended up buying two vehicles from this dealership in one day( one of the vehicles was not even at the dealership however Justin and his manager searched all over the Internet and found it for us and went to pick it up himself for us) all because Justin and his manager took their time to make sure that our monthly budget was number one priority! TL;DR version: I cannot recommend Heritage Chevrolet enough; their team including the Assistant Service Manager Jessie took care of my vehicle quickly, and went above and beyond the standard to take care of me! Details- I had my fuel pump and filter replaced by Powers Swain in Fayetteville ten days prior to my visit to Heritage, and they had not reconnected the vacuum hose during their service. When my check engine light came on, and I took it to Heritage, they found this as the source of the problem. When it came time for me to pay for the service, I expressed some frustration in passing conversation with Jessie about having to pay for an error caused by a dealership. At that point, she got on the phone with Powers Swain, had to play phone tag with their service manager, but after about half an hour, got them to pay for the service! The end result was no charge to me and my vehicle getting fixed from the error of the other dealership. This isn't something she had to do, and I was willing to pay for their services rendered, but the fact that she did compels me to recommend Heritage Chevrolet for the greater Richmond area, especially for Chevrolet services. read more

I just bought a 2021 Chevy Colorado Z71 crew cab. The dealership was nice and neat and orderly . They had a good selection of vehicles they were competitively priced. My sales person was Erica Heimer. Erica was very flexible and was able to work around my busy schedule. She was very professional and had extensive knowledge of the vehicles I looked at. She was able to answer the majority my questions quickly and accurately and when she was unsure she was able to quickly find an accurate answer to my question instead of just guessing or giving me an incorrect answer. Erica did an excellent job working with me and was able to help me keep my search and purchase moving along without appearing as a high pressure salesperson. My experience with the sale has been very positive and thanks to her help I am confident that my new vehicle will meet all of my requirements and expectations without any surprises. Joey assisted me with this process and took his time helping me understand every aspect of my new purchase; giving me a great detailed review of the vehicle (things I didn't know); and when we were done I felt like I had a trusting relationship with this dealer in the future - for ongoing maintenance issues and repairs. Jessie is usually my service advisor and she is awesome! If I have to wait on the repair she'll always give me a reliable wait time or if I have to drop it off I alawys get a call with an update and then second call letting me know my vehicle is ready. We have taken our GM vehicles here for about 2 years and I will not take them anywhere else after our wonderful experiences at Heritage. I can remember when I purchased my last Tahoe that Lenny told me about a young man who could answer all my questions about the technical set up. Thought we didn't end up purchasing a vehicle from here, we really appreciated the professionalism, honesty and positive attitude we received from Charles Smart, the product specialist who greeted us upon arrival. A couple of weeks before Christmas, I needed a quick repair of my Door Actuator, due to my Front defroster not working, which caused me to fail my annual vehicle inspection. I visited CMA(my first visit there), and the staff there, immediately got the ball rolling, as far as verifying if my Car Warranty Insurer would be accepted, and they were able to have my car fixed in a week. Alexander customer service skills is off the charts! He has a lot of patience and made me comfortable purchasing my 2017 Camaro. All of the staff is friendly and made me comfortable as well.
