Shortly after she responded and gave me her number where we had a consultation via texting and set up an appointment. It's amazing what technology can do! I used to get full highlights with my hair picked very thin, so my hair looked solid blonde. Since I let it grow out for over a year, there was a huge difference. Alison knew exactly what to do to make it look natural and cohesive with the highlights I had from before. She ended up doing a balayage and some foils to achieve the look and also cut my hair. Due to this, I was a bit hesitant to book at first as well but I took a leap of faith after looking at her work. I am so glad I did. I booked a consultation Sunday afternoon and got a consultation the next day on Monday. She was absolutely thorough in what I wanted and made sure it was to my expectation. I told her I wanted to keep my natural hair length (as I am growing it out) but I wanted to add extensions for a little extra length and volume. If you're looking for the same, tape ins are one of the greatest options to do so with little to no damage if properly taken care of. I decided to do a color correction with some added highlights to bring out some depth + toning to a chocolate brown color to correct some of the brassiness + adding some 24 inch tape-ins (both rooted brown/blonde highlights + chocolate brown to add more length and volume). Trust me.... SO. WORTH. IT. For reference, I added about 150g. You will see in my photos shortly ladies!!!!!!! Anyway, she ordered the hair the same night (Monday) and it came in just in time for my Saturday morning appointment. She does the tapes herself so this is an absolutely remarkable turnaround. More than that, Taylor was incredibly transparent with the cost of the extensions and even sent me the receipt to show that I was paying for exactly that with no hidden costs, something you don't see too often these days. The studio was such a vibe with clean and modern aesthetics! Cute plants, both nice natural lighting and lit LED mirrors, cosy teddy bear sofa & pretty framed pics of her work. As a first timer with getting extensions, AND being very particular in looking for someone who did KNOTLESS (or feed in) box braids, Sharae is perfect. She made me feel comfortable and like we could talk about anything! She was funny, made sure I didn't experience any discomfort, asked me questions to make sure I wanted what I was getting. Everything was better than I could've hoped for. Every penny was worth it plus tip!
