After dinner this evening, my mom and I decided to stop at Home State brewery which is right next to the cycling place in the Hamlin Grove area. They have their own beers that they make along with a special guest cider. They're currently carrying the original sin rosé hard cider. Right now on tap, they have three sours; they have a pink lemonade, a watermelon, and a blueberry, I decided to get the pink lemonade sour and a 5 ounce pour for $3.50. They also have a happy hour from 3 to 6 PM Monday through Friday. The lady at the counter with the curly hair was super nice and I also signed up my phone number for rewards and points. The ambience of Home Saint Marie reminds me of the ambience off of Michigan and in the milk District. 10/10 If you haven't been here, I have a recommended!!! read more

Came here for a market popup and this was a really great spot to chill and wait. Had some cold beers, caesar salad and the potato salad. The potato salad was quite tasty! The caesar is your normal tasting caesar salad. This place is order at the counter and seat yourself. There is indoor and outdoor seating. When we were there they had trivia and although I didn't particpate, it was fun to watch and be in the middle of it. All in all a great time was had! read more

I had been to Home State Brewing once before about 3 years ago. Coming back this time, I was surprised at how much the area around it has built up. There are a ton of new shops and restaurants now. Really cool to see how much it's grown. The last time I was here I loved it, and that hasn't changed. I'd probably go way more often if I didn't live on the east side of Orlando. It's about a 45-50 minute drive for me. It's so worth it though! They have so many good beers. I usually lean toward the lighter styles, and they've got plenty I'd happily drink. If they opened one closer to me, it would easily be one of my go-to spots. The food is really good too. The appetizers are banging. And the bartenders are always cool and strike up conversation, which makes it even better. It was such a good visit I forgot to take picture which probably says it all. read more

When you first walk in you order the beer. They have menus right there and there is also a big menu over the bar. They have food as well. We tried their cupcakes, bomb! Their brewer is Justin and he has figured out something a bunch of big breweries haven't figured out; your beer can be simple and have clean flavors and be awesome. THE BEER AT HOME STATE BREWING IS AWESOME!!! And they are also dog friendly on the outside patio. Oh and kid friendly whether they have fur or not. The restrooms are gender neutral so there are no lines. And the restrooms have the coolest wall paper. For my first visit I was quite impressed and I think I need to make this one of my regular breweries to visit because the beer made me feel like home. So amazing! The BEER: Apparition Rye Saison 5.8 % ABV... slightly fruity banana clove, like a hefe or a Belgian, this is all day drinkable Queen Boheae Czech Dark Lager 4.8% ABV... Coffee and slightly Czech, if this one was a nitro or poured from a Czech tap it would be other wordly Party Pace Kolsch 4.8% ABV... everything you want a Kolsch to be, low in IBUs and full of that clean flavor Easin' the Tension Amber Lager 4.8% ABV... Love Home State! They have a decent sized indoor space and a really big outdoor space with picnic tables and Adirondack chairs and generally just good vibes overall. They have a pretty big beer list plus some non beer bevvies if you aren't a beer drinker. We've eaten there a couple times and the food has always been good. Their Cuban sandwich is so good, last time we went I got the pimento grilled cheese and it was spicy but in a really good way. Don't miss out on their bathrooms, each one is decorated differently and they really make me want to put wild wallpaper in my house. Love this place! I've been here several times for pop up markets and it's very cute! The vibe is good, there are board games and a decent amount of seating, especially if the weather is good and you can sit outside! I'm not a drinker and the N/A options are pretty standard--I do love that they carry Mexican Coke! We had several food options--the potato salad was good, and the Caesar salad was my favorite ! I didn't like the esquites at all, way too spicy, and they didn't have a mayo that I cold tell. One of my favorite things is that they gave individual bathrooms and a decent amount!Overall this is a great place and definitely an asset to Winter Garden. read more

Home State is a great local small batch brewery offering a food menu and several different beers on tap. They have a coffee bar as well but I have never been interested in trying any of the coffee. The head brewer spent time In Chicago at Revolution Brewing which has always been one of my favorites. They have Chicago style hot dogs on the menu and being a Chicago native, I can say they are a good substitute for the real thing..... need to include celery salt next time. read more

Beertenders are always nice and friendly and quick! Ambiance is fun both inside and out and have a lot of seating options. Like all of the different events they have. They now have some food options and have food trucks weekly. Beers are alright. I like other local beers more but nice to have a brewery only five minutes away. read more

We attended one of the boozy book fair events that they host. We love that they're partnering with local book shops, but do wish that there were more than just one or two tables full of books. When I think of a book fair, I want to live out my scholastic book fair dreams as a child and would love to have multiple local bookshops on site offering a variety of different books to choose from. On this particular occasion, my husband tried their Porter, which he really enjoyed. It's a little lighter than he would've thought for a Porter, but overall enjoyed the flavor. Because it was close to St. Patrick's Day one of their guest ciders was Magner's Irish cider, which I was absolutely thrilled by! It's hard to find Magner's on draft and I certainly enjoyed it while we were there. In fact, it's probably one of the sole reason's we had more than one round of drinks. lol read more

I'm a huge fan of this place. I visited on a Friday night with my hound dog and met up with a bunch of people throughout the night. They always have a good variety of beers and I love sipping my way around them. Their staff are always super friendly, and I love their pretzel too (although I will say I'm bigger on the mustard than the beer cheese). One thing that is really unbeatable about this place is the atmosphere. It genuinely feels so welcoming to everyone in the community whether it's a regular night in or there's a bigger event like their weekend markets. A good brewery with a beautiful open space where you find kids and pets all the same. There is also plenty of sitting and TV screens where sports are broadcasted. The people in the area are friendly and not annoying or cliquey as in other establishments. Remember: friendly to all and pleasant is the way to be. The beer is good and easy to drink. Right out of the gate for transparency, I worked with one of the owners elsewhere for a long time. Also for transparency, I like and respect that person enough that I would never in a million years lie on their behalf about their new business venture. I love this brewery. Simple as that. The look, the feel, the ambiance. They nail it. It welcomes you and it wraps around you like a brewery blanket of love. The inside is smaller than ideal, but they make up for it outside. They have a covered patio with fans and TVs. They have MASSIVE paved deck with a stage and have recently put up an Oktoberfest style tent for more shade. Like I said, I know the team, and they have some great plans in store that just need some approvals. If you can't find a place to drink your beer, that's only because this place rocks too hard. As a side note for those in the know... if your parents or older family were 70s/80s fans of The Boo or 80s/90s fans of the Adventurers Club or even you were halfway into TS Grog... Home State is quickly filling that void from my visits. Their beer is varied and they have whatever you need. They have coffee, wine, NA beer, seltzer, and cider. I'm a huge fan of local breweries in general and Home State is definitely one of my favorites! I'm here once a week for run club on Monday nights and it's always something I look forward to (which is hard to do on a Monday). The vibe here is casual and the decor inside is really nice. I love the mural they have on the wall between the bar and the hallway for the bathrooms. Most of the time I do sit outside since I normally bring my dog, but the outdoor patio is really nice as well. It's covered in case it rains and there's a lot of fans to help with the heat as well. So to the important part, the beers! My favorite beer here is the Sandhill Sabotage. There's been several versions of this beer, but they're always good. The Sea Level is also really good too. It's a really good choice for a light, refreshing beer when it's hot outside. The only reason I'm rating HSB 4 stars instead of 5 is because I'm just not a fan of their food. Not a deal breaker though since the beer is always solid! I'll definitely keep coming back! read more

Well, update since no response via email. Justin sucks: (1) Picks and chooses who he wants to serve regardless of who's next in line or how many people are there. (2) Cuts people off and/or refuses service when they first enter the bar. (3} embarrassingly mocks people on theme nights. (4) Gets into it with other staff when they tell him (respectfully) not to do [that]. (5) Got into a fist fight in the parking lot with a customer that he followed out to the parking lot. At one point this could have been a training issue, this is no longer a training issue. Shout out to the rest of your staff for dealing with Justin and softening The blow that Justin has to dealt. Food was okay. At our table we had the PBJ, Portobello sandwich, turkey sandwich, pita with dips, kids grilled cheese. I really liked my Kokomo drink (pictured). Drinks were better, which makes sense being a brewing company. Great ambiance. Beautiful decor & clean facility. Some indoor and a lot outdoor. Home State is my local brewery so let me start with that. But I'm not biased. If I didn't like it, I wouldn't recommend it, plain and simple. And this place has only gotten better and better since it opened. It's a cool place to get together with friends. Pets & kids are welcome, but you must keep an eye on both. And this isn't just me saying it (I'm a dad of 2) but early on people thought this was a kids park with beer. Ok enough of that. Good beer, super cool events and best of all - the STAFF! Friendly, outgoing and always willing to chat or help out. The brewing is located very conceit you're in the Hamlin area of Winter Garden. The beers are good, and now they after bites as well which is great. If you're looking for something a little more (ie dinner) often have food trucks, or there's a handful of options nearby that you can choose from as well. This is the place to go to for watching F1 races. They are even open for the early races. They have a coffee shop in the morning and the brewery serves towards the end of the race. This review though is about the brewery. I have not had a bad brew here. It is a huge location with a giant out door area. The inside has nice couches on top of a welcoming bar. I asked the bartender what is new and he recommended a strawberry sour. This was a great brew that had a perfect mix of sweet and sour. I can't wait to try their next brew. They are starting to serve food. The items look very good as they come out of the kitchen. read more
