I let him know I really needed the gas and wasn't going to be able to get home and that I've not had this issue when putting gas In my tank. i explained that even if I don't have 200 dollars in my account the card doesn't decline. Instead of being sympathetic and apologetic he was pretty over the conversation before it started and gave me the impression that if I have less than 200 dollars I can't get gas there. I explained I had the money available that I needed to get gas and now its not and I can't fill up to to home and he just shrugged and walked away. Definitely not that guys problem, but I wouldn't risk charging your card here.

Now, the gas is too expensive compared to other gas stations on the coast, and the products they sell are completely overpriced. I bought a plastic bottle of coke and it cost me about $5. I'd expect that at an amusement park or a ball game but not at a gas station. Inside is cluttered, and they usually only have one cashier, so you'll have to wait forever to spend a fortune on junk food.

For me, it's more like a rest stop along Highway 1. It's about halfway between Pacifica and Half Moon Bay. Last time I was there was a few weeks ago, on a dark stormy night. Road was wet, can't see the lines, and it was windy. Then in the distance, I saw the Chevron sign all lit up in the darkness. I stopped for gas, snacks, and take a short break. Easy to get back on the road. Gas prices will be higher than average here.

They got the parts in a day and had my vehicle back and now works great. I will be back for sure, highly recommended. They are not a cheap place $195 labor rate as of 3/2025 which is more than my regular mechanic but the place is well run and this is about going rate everywhere. The regular maintenance was about $160 for Amsoil oil change so that is about right and I love to run amsoil.
