This is a true classic NSB spot with a menu that will absolutely blow your mind. I'm only just getting around to writing this review, even though I've been here so many times it's hard to keep count. It's one of those places you naturally keep coming back to. I especially love coming here with a larger group--they can handle crowds better than most places around, which is no small feat. I remember them from their original location, and honestly, the move only made everything better. More space, better flow, and the same great heart behind it all. The food is consistently excellent and thoughtfully done. It truly caters to everyone--meat eaters and vegetarians like me--and does so in a way that feels intentional, not like an afterthought. Let's be honest, not many places manage that these days, and it really shows here. Add in a great selection of beer, drinks of all kinds, plenty of food options, and service that's well above average, and you've got a winning combination. This is the perfect place to keep in mind when you suddenly realize too many people are planning to show up at your house and you can't think of a place that'll hold them all.. How great was this fine close to 95, perfect for our family heading back from vacation and the keys. Good Hardie food, in a clean dining room and hundreds of TV screen showing all sorts of sports. I was a little put off by the low reviews, and I don't know what that is about. But they have a big menu that has things like meatloaf and burgers and chicken, wings, and beer, beer, beer, beer. . But what you really wanna hear about is the food: Fries - crisp, hot and good compliment to the burgers. Wings - mild to hot, with cool flavors like teriyaki, honey garlic and sweet chili. Sweet Chili Wings- the best of the wing flavors we tried. Cheeseburger- really good. Black and Blue Burger - good burger choice, which my wife got with hot sauce. No dessert, so I cannot comment on that. This is a bar and grill with an emphasis on beer, and they do it well. The restaurant is enormous with booths, hightops and low tops, clearly they could hold 5x's the number of diners when we were there. Fun date spot. Good bro spot to watch sports. Food was yummy but portions were small IMO. I never finish an entire dish, I prefer leftovers for a late night snack, however this time I did and was still a little hungry. Ended up eating part of the buttered sub roll that didn't have any of my bf's chicken cheesesteak on it and used that to soak up some of the yummy Alfredo and fill up a little more. His cheesesteak needed half of the roll, it wasn't full of meat at all. Overall, food was delish, had great service, seated quickly, games on for bf, band playing for me. Tons of stuff to do outside. Literally would only change the portions of offer bread or a soup/salad as a side perhaps with the pasta? The chicken cheesesteak definitely needed more meat though. Not even half full on roll. 3.5 stars. Food was great. Service was so-so. Our office came here for a birthday party. We were seated on the patio which was fine until the live music started playing. Then it was too loud to hold a conversation. The timing of the food service needs major improvement. About 4 people at the end of the table had their food brought out before the rest of us put in our orders. Then my order came out 15 minutes before everyone else at our end. The food was delish, though. I had the best house-made black bean burger with fries cooked to perfection. Since I enjoyed the food so much, I'm willing to come back once more and give the servers a second chance. read more

My family & I went to The Half Wall on March 8, 2026, & the food was HORRIBLE! The only good thing we ordered were the fried pickles & mozzarella bites for appetizers. We should have stopped there! My husband & I ordered the Blackened Chicken Pasta, that was supposed to have a spicy sauce to it. I even asked our server if it was spicy, & he said yes, it has some spice to it. I said good, because I like it spicy! Now I am very well aware that Florida does NOT know what spicy means, like we do in Texas, but it had absolutely NO SPICE to it at all! If you order this dish, & want some spice to it, you better bring your own! My sister had the salmon, & it was also horrible, it was supposed to have a honey glaze to it, but they missed the mark on it too. It comes with a big scoop of rice, that you could barely move with your fork. She said the best part of that dish was the vegetables. My other sister ordered a mushroom burger, & she said it was basically tasteless. My brother in law ordered a turkey bacon sandwich, & he said it was horrible as well. It only had turkey, bacon & cheese on it. It had no mayo, lettuce or tomato, & the bread was soggy. Our waiter never came back to check on us throughout our entire meal, & we all ran out of our tea & water before we even attempted to finished trying to eat our less than mediocre meal, which none of us finished. When he came by to bring our check, my sister told him the salmon was terrible, he thought she was kidding. He did go get the manager once she told him she was serious, & we all complained about our meal. All the manager seemed concerned about was the fact that there was no spice to the chicken pasta, He even left our table to go investigate as to why it had no spice, instead of maybe trying to compensate us for the horrible meal & bad service we received from our waiter, This is not the first time we've eaten at this restaurant, but after what we experienced tonight, it will definitly be our last! I don't know if it's the cooks, or what, but it has certainly changed, & not for the better! I felt bad that I suggested we go there, so we went to Dairy Queen & I treated everyone to a Blizzard! Let me start off the ambience. It was open, kind of rustic and very inviting. We sat at the bar and tried one of their homebrews. I ordered the meatloaf dinner and my friend ordered the fish and chips. Both we're recommended by not only the Bartender, but a couple of patrons were sitting next to us. It did not disappoint, the meatloaf was great, but what knocked it out of the park was there mushroom gravy. I would have to say the best I've ever had. And my friend, Paul had the fish and chips which he proclaimed was light than batter and great fries. I will go back again to try the pork schnitzel which I understand is the best thing on the menu. Finally stopped at half wall for beer! It's on the way to new Smyrna beach and sometimes it's hard to stop on the way but this time I needed gas and we could not check in to our air bnb til 4pm. Good thing half wall opens at 1130! They opened right on time. A couple cars of folks were waiting to get in. Some sat inside, some sat outside, some had beer at the bar and some just came for lunch. I was surprised to see brew tanks inside! Cool! They also had a great counter full of merch- shirts hats etc. We sat at the bar and Aria was our bartender. She was super nice and very attentive. An old man came and sat next to us and had a huge, delicious looking burger. Wow. Three guys down the bar had a couple beers and watched football. We went for flights. I had the dark and stormy flight. Yum! My date had the half wall brewery flight where you can choose your four beers. Everything was awesome. I started betting online on the live horse racing in Indiana. Won a couple bucks. We debated on food but decided to get more beee to go. We ordered a few cans out of the cooler, paid our bill, and went to the beach. Great stop. Loved their beers. Lots of selection. We had our son's wedding rehearsal dinner here and are beyond grateful for The Half Wall Brewery. I was skeptical to start, as we looked at so many locations that were "fancier" with over the top menus, decor and PRICES but The Half Wall came thru in every way!!!! Event planner/manager Lauren was easy to work with, responsive and accommodating in every way! Our dedicated server Tyler did an amazing job of taking care of our large group of 30+ and handling it all on his own. The food was delicious, an upgrade from typical "bar food". We were able to use the items on their menu to create our own personalized menu. The GM Chris was kind and introduced himself to us and offered help. The location was beautiful. Outdoor social area with chairs and games, a private event space with a stage, and private entrance to back bar/event space. Anyone looking for a location to do an event- don't pay the outrageous event fees at other locations. The Half Wall was perfect! Thank you! read more

Waitperson doesn't turn in our order for at least 30 minutes. Wouldn't own it or even apologize. On duty "manager" ignored us and that we sat there for 40 minutes unattended. Food is ok but service is terrible and indifferent. 3rd visit, each time service issue. This was worst. She didn't care, no apology even a fake one. read more

My experience was extremely disappointing and even humiliating. As someone with celiac disease, I felt dismissed and embarrassed when my condition wasn't respected or accommodated properly. Before going into that, I'll start off from the top. We were seated in the outdoor seating and I had accidentally spilt my water on the table and some on the person I was dining with. I took initiative and accountability for this and began cleaning the mess with the one napkin I was given and apologized to the waitress. The person I was dining with had asked said waitress for a napkin so she could dab the water off of her clothing, to my surprise the waitress stood their watching us and did not supply her a napkin. Since we did not have any more napkins at our table, she had to sit in wet clothes while we were dining. As if I did not feel bad enough about the situation the waitress got very unprofessional. Firstly, she did not supply me a new water or a set of silverware (which had gotten drenched from the water and we had nothing to dry them). Secondly, when I had asked for another water and finally had received it, she slammed it on our table telling me not to spill it this time. Now, as to why I believe if you have any gluten allergies or an autoimmune disorder such as celiac, I highly do not recommend coming here. I saw on the menu there was chips and salsa, and being curious, I wanted to know if they would be gluten free (since there might be risk of cross-contamination, or the chips may not be gluten free). She seemed very confused when I had asked but she said she would ask the chef. When coming back, she had told us they were corn tortillas, I had figured she had asked about cross contamination as well since she said they were gluten free. However, as we ate, our waitress was laughing near the bar (which we sat right beside it) with another staff member about how she did not know what gluten free meant and did not know what to tell us so she just told us they were gluten free. They continued to laugh and make fun of the situation and I felt nothing but humiliation. I thought this was completely rude and unprofessional, I could not even say anything in the moment because I was so stunned. Unfortunately this is the reality of allergies, they most of the time are not taken seriously. What could have been a simple question as to what gluten free meant, was instead lying and betrayal to a customer. I can get very sick from gluten and can only imagine what could have happened if someone who had worse celiac symptoms than me had this situation occur to them. Not only could this put the business at jeopardy with the lack of seriousness when it comes to allergies, but it also puts the customers health severely at risk. I am beyond disappointed with how this interaction occurred and could have been avoided completely by a simple conversation. I did find out later on by another visit that the chips and salsa are NOT gluten free and are cross contaminated. Would not recommend for anyone with celiac or gluten allergies. read more

Don't know what they did with their food quality but it has gone down hill quick, burger are like eating microwaved food they are cheap patties and chicken wing are so big they aren't fully cooked when you get them, I think they changed their food supplier or are buying cheaper meats. Tortellini w/alfredo sauce was delish, as was Caesar salad (add-on); however, bourbon glazed salmon was VERY over-done and dry. Salmon was served with mound of plain unseasoned white rice that was only edible with requested mushroom gravy usually served with their meatloaf. Great place to go. Love the atmosphere. Burger and wings are great and the staff is always awesome. They go above and beyond. I like to sit outside and they run inside to get my Guinness with a smile on their face. The reason I give 3 stars is because the menu is stale as hell. My buds and I live locally and would like to see some different appetizers on it. If we want potato skins, fried pickles or a good French onion soup we have to go somewhere else. I hope they read this and make some changes because we really like going there and sometimes we just can't for this reason. read more

We had a late night dinner at Half Wall after moving into our new house. It was a late and rainy Saturday night and we were exhausted, but the staff and our waitress were very friendly. We shared the pretzel app and I got the Buffalo chicken tenders and my husband got a burger. We enjoyed all of the food, but the beer cheese dipping sauce with the pretzel was my favorite! Nice little spot. Was able to squeeze in between some patrons and sit at the bar. Du Claw sour was first and that was super good. Then I wanted to get a flight but was a bit disappointed I couldn't really choose from the full list of brews and get a flight of my choice; since I like to get a different one for each, dark, hoppy, sour, wheat. Ended up ordering the dark and stormy flight. Good, but I miss the contrast of colors when ordering a flight. First bartender to serve me didn't seem thrilled but when Aria came through, all had changed; constantly checking in to see how I'm doing and if I need anything. Ordered the mussels, pretty good! We arrived late on a Monday evening (about 9:15), just getting into town for a funeral. This was close to where we were staying and still open so we decided to try it. I got the Mac and cheese burger and O.M.G. I fell in love with this burger!!!! The Mac and cheese was obviously homemade and delicious! I ordered my burger medium well and it was cooked perfectly. And the fries?!?! Not usually a fan of steak fries but these were battered, seasoned well, crispy on the outside and hot and soft in the middle. Yummy! My husband got the back and blue, my brother in law got the Half Wall, and my sister in law had the chili burger...we all adored our food and we're still talking about them on our trip home.
