    Best pickles I've ever had
    Paige H.

I've tried a bison burger a couple times since visiting South Dakota and this place is #1. Absolutely delicious bison burger, and the french fries topped it off perfectly. The pickles on the burger were some of the best pickles I've tasted, and I'm a huge Claussen fan usually. The guy running the shop hooked me up with a couple more pickles to finish off my burger and was super cool about it. Really nice guy. There is small amount of seating on the inside and a little patio outside with tables and chairs, although I did witness people swatting the bees off of their food a lot. The service was excellent and the staff were very nice and attentive. I would absolutely come here again and grab another bison burger.

If you're looking for top notch customer service, flavorful food, and timely service, look no further than Halley's West. The owner goes above and beyond to make sure you feel right at home. They allowed us to taste test the ice cream and drinks to ensure we would love our order and experience.

This is a wonderful place to stop and eat!! 2 miles away from Mount Rushmore. The service was great, the food was fresh, hot and tasty. I had the double Buffalo burger with pepper jack cheese and it was divine. The homemade, house cut fries are hot and delicious. I love fries like that. They feature a very good root beer on tap here as well, served in a frosty mug!! I enjoyed the great outdoor patio seating for my visit. They serve ice cream too and of course delicious root beer floats. A bit pricey, but hey small resort town...the usual. It was worth it and very scrumptious. I left for Mount Rushmore very satisfied. There's a lot of food options in this center and this place definitely holds it own, try it out.

Food was delicious and the service was even better! Best hamburger in Keystone and remarkably affordable for a tourist town.

We were staying at the Roosevelt inn just across the road so this is a most convenient place to grab an early dinner upon arrival. It's a small place with some indoor seating but the bigger outdoor raised patio with umbrellas is really nice. Menu is simple I think basically just burgers but they are good with tasty fries. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

Such a cute place. The owners and staff are truly kind. They have various drinks and food. The cherry-lime cider on ice is fantastic. The French fries were cut and made fresh on order. We stopped here 3 times on our trip. Can't recommend it enough. A little bathroom fun.

Loved the wine tasting - I tried 5 local wines from wineries: Prairie Berry and Firehouse. The three Prairie Berry wines were all VERY fruity and sweet (two reds and one white). And the Calamity Jane blend is the sweetest they offer she said! The two Firehouse were tied for my favorite! Sangiovese and Syrah. It did NOT disappoint! My wine pourer was still getting to know the wines themselves - but she was super kind and lovely to talk to - thank you Moriah!! Mya helped us at the register and was equally amazing. No joke - we've been to a few local businesses in the Rapid City/Keystone area and every single last person we talk to is LOVELY! Everyone has been super kind, helpful and willing to help a newbie Black Hills tourist find her way around. Oh! And have you seen the yard at G&G? Filled with corn hole (2 sets), a playground, an outdoor foosball table, two giant chess sets and tons of tables and chairs. And a fabulous way to spend our lunch break from sightseeing!

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Deadwood…read more My wife and I stumbled upon this incredibly unique and peaceful wine house just steps away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Deadwood--and what a discovery it was. In a city known for its casinos and saloons, this beautifully restored home offers an entirely different kind of experience: one centered around relaxation, quality, and taste. Housed in a gorgeously maintained historic property, this spot features multiple cozy rooms filled with elegant furnishings and stained glass windows, along with spacious porches both upstairs and downstairs where you can unwind with a glass or bottle of wine. The ambiance alone makes it worth a visit. The wine selection is top-tier and surprisingly affordable, especially for South Dakota. They offer a solid list of wines by the glass or bottle, but also have a curated room filled with exceptional bottles from around the world--at prices that beat anything else we saw in the area, whether in Custer or Deadwood. You can enjoy your wine there (with a small corkage fee) or take it home. To complement the wine, they serve thoughtfully arranged charcuterie boards featuring a variety of cheeses, fruits, and other healthy bites. You can also add sliced salami to customize your board further to enhance the experience. This isn't your typical restaurant or wine bar--it's more like being invited into someone's beautifully curated home for a relaxing afternoon or evening. It's a peaceful, upscale oasis in a town that can sometimes feel a little wild. Highly recommended if you're looking for something refined, memorable, and just a short stroll from the main strip.

The service is all order at the bar and then they'll bring the food to you from the disconnected kitchen. I ordered the Orange Chicken Bowl and my husband got their Chipped Beef Special. It was out to our table in about 10 minutes, and everything was fresh and piping hot! The orange chicken could've been mistaken for the packages they sell at Trader Joe's or Costco (and I mean that in the BEST sense - I LOVE those brands of orange chicken!), but the broccoli was obviously fresh and still had a nice crisp to it while being just the right amount of tender. The serving sizes are huge and we weren't able to finish both meals. There are pool tables inside that are extraordinarily expensive, so we only played about two games. There was extremely loud live music we weren't expecting the second night, so we sat outside on the patio to try and get a way from the volume, but we still returned for the ambience and the quick service.
