My fiancé got the salt block burger and he said it was probably the best burger he has ever had. If not it def made top 3! The Cajun fries and ranch were just as good. He got the bone-a-fide freedom beer and he said it was good just kind of average. Now the VIEWS!!! Piece of advice, come at sunset and sit on the patio. It is attitude or food because the moment it hits her tongue, and neurotransmitter sends it to the brain and says "OMG! This is the most amazing stuff ever!" (Think of your bag of Doritos that disappears so quickly, even when you're no longer hungry.) it also hides in labels as "natural flavors, spices, seaweed...". Rarely will it ever say monosodium glutamate, because the rule is if I add it I have to put on the label. But if I buy it from you in spices or flavoring, then all I have to put in is "spices or natural flavoring". Our meal was excellent. At Claudia's recommendation we have the aloha burger with chicken instead of beef. Really super tasty and perfectly cooked. The French fries and sweet potato fries were outstanding and perfectly cooked. If it wasn't for the MSG, we would have returned. If you can finish your meal with no headaches, then this is the place for you to go! People were there having a great time during the last days of Sturgis, the drinks looked tasty and the food was well cooked and quickly delivered. Our server, Claudia, was amazing! Very skilled, friendly, yet professional. Apparently our visit coincided with her last day as she's returning to school. I hope the company can give her appreciation for her hard work! My husband ordered a chocolate shake, and we shared it. I have to say it was one of the best chocolate milkshakes I've tasted in years! For the majority of people, this is a great restaurant for drinks and a good meal. The restaurant itself does not have a restroom right there, you have to go out the main restaurant door and down the hall to the right where you'll see the signage on the left after two or three shops. My recommendation is that if you have children, please don't let them go by themselves. Make sure an adult goes with them. I do have to say the restrooms were very clean and well taken care of. If the chocolate shop next-door to Salt Block Burgers had been open, I would definitely have stopped in there, because their homemade chocolates looked delicious! How are they closed at 5 PM. During nice weather the view from the outdoor area would be well worth hanging out outside. The day we were there was very cold and windy, and only one couple with the dog were at the outdoor deck. We greatly enjoyed the view from the window next to us. There was also plenty of parking available. We parked at the far right end of the building, which meant there were stairs to go up into the mall/restaurant entry. Our best bet would have been to have parked several stores down to the left where they had doors into the mall/walkway, that had no stairs. Then turn right to go down the hallway to the restaurant.
