This coffee shop/café is very cute and very small, with just a few stools in the window and an outdoor, uncovered patio that seats about 30-40 people. I ordered one of their specialty iced coffees, the Chocolate Covered Banana. I'd normally avoid something like this because of the sugar, but it was surprisingly not overly sweet. That said, I didn't really taste much banana. The ordering setup is a bit unusual. You place food orders at one counter and coffee at another. The coffee came out quickly, but the Caesar wrap took over 20 minutes. It didn't seem especially busy in person, so they may have been juggling delivery orders. The kitchen is very small and appeared to have just one cook at the time. It's a family-run business, which is really sweet. It did seem like the owners' kids were working the counters, and they felt a bit inexperienced when it came to handling volume or order issues. On a nice day, it's a lovely spot to sit outside. In bad weather, though, takeout or delivery are really your only options. It's definitely on the pricier side. The Caesar wrap was over $15, and the coffee came to about $8 with tip, though both portions were quite large. I will say, the food is delicious. The wrap was honestly one of the best I've had. Freshly cooked warm chicken, just the right amount of dressing, fresh parmesan, crisp lettuce, all wrapped in a perfectly warmed wrap. This is my current favorite coffee place. They always have fun seasonal flavors. I've gotten something different every time and its all been good. The food not good though. I had it once and it was so bad i never got anything again even though the menu does sound good. Its a small room inside its cute fine for getting coffee and leaveing. They have a patio outside. I will say the servers should do a better hob of greeting customers. Last time i went it wasnt crowded, no one at the coffee counter, and i stood there and stood there just waiting yo be acknowledged. There were two prople behind the counter a barely a few strps away both talking to each other while making something. It doesnt take much to look over and say hey ill be right with you. Also, the ice cups are quite flimsy you can hold it tight. The ice they use is large cubes which makes it hard to stir with the straw. The straws are too thin and flimsy to get through those bug ice cubes, and they are also too short to stir all the syrup that is at the bottom of the cup. I had to get a tall dunkin straw in order to finish my drink and properly mix up all the syrup that was sitting in the bottom. Can you please get better straws? read more

The dish includes fresh carrots, parsnips, and kale, which won't be for everyone; personally, I wasn't a fan of those additions, but the spicy aioli brought the whole plate together nicely. Their tallow‑fried donuts are an interesting concept. While I appreciate the clean‑ingredient approach, the donut itself was firmer and less sweet than I prefer, and you can definitely taste the tallow. They were also on the expensive side for what they delivered. For a drink, I tried the peanut butter banana chocolate macchiato. The idea is great, but in execution it was overly sweet, and I couldn't really taste the peanut butter or banana. Next time I'll stick to a classic mocha. The chocolate chip cookie had a lovely buttery flavor and that homemade feel you only get when there are no emulsifiers or additives, though it leaned a bit dry. Service & Atmosphere Despite the crowd, the service was friendly, attentive, and warm. Everything is made fresh to order, and you can feel the pride behind the counter. Absolutely love this new coffee shop! I've been here a few times now for coffee and only had one that I wasn't a huge fan of (and it was just because I didn't like the taste of the syrup they used). Every other drink has been 10/10! They have such an interesting menu with rotating speciality drink options. The first time I came I got a cannoli iced coffee from their specials and it came with a whole mini cannoli on top! I also recently got the Phillies Phlight and each drink was so yummy and unique - and I loved that it had a seltzer and matcha in it so it wasn't all coffee! This place even got me to stop in on a Wednesday morning before work - which is something I never do during the week. But they have been offering a Summerween drink every Wednesday in August in anticipation for the fall and I couldn't resist the pumpkin mocha they offered one Wednesday. So glad I stopped by because it was my favorite drink I've gotten so far and I can't wait to see what they offer in the fall! I don't frequent coffee shops very often as they feel like more of a treat for me, but I can't stop coming back to this place as they knock it out of the park each time. read more

Hallowed Grounds Coffee shares a tiny indoor space with Thyme Kitchen. There are two separate registers; one for food and one for drinks. The interior is very small with maybe two bar seats, and the rest is outdoor seating with tables and umbrellas inside. When it was busy, it got very cramped in there. Lots of different coffee options with many specials and flavors available. However, definitely on the pricier side as the bigger sizes of drinks could be $6+. I got the iced brown sugar latte with house made oat milk, which was a great touch. Overall, a good spot to stop by for a to go coffee or to sit outdoors. Not sure what they'll do when the weather starts turning cold as the inside seating is pretty much nonexistent. Treat yourself to one of their specials! read more

This tiny cafe has got to have some of the BEST coffee I've ever had with an endless combination of flavors! First time visitors make note the cafe shares its space with Thyme Kitchen which is why food must is ordered separately at the back register. The space is veryyyy small and mornings/weekends are typically packed to the point where customers are literally on top of each other however the coffee, in my opinion, is worth the wait. Staff is incredibly friendly and very helpful. Making a decision on what to order is so difficult bc there are so many unique coffee and tea options to select from however I love their iced coconut latte with coconut cold foam. As far as pricing goes, they're comparable to Starbucks. The prices might seem high but I'd rather spend my money at a family owned joint than your typical chain. New in town that takes pride in specializing in their cup of joes. However, I think it got overwhelming with the number of orders coming in and causing a jam of delays of drinks being made. I hope they work out their kinks being that they are still trying to get use to the flow of things. My husband got "Drunk in Kentucky" which had smoke effect coming out. Was it necessary? Probably not, but I thought it was quite cool. I waited over half a hour for mine to just realize that another patron took my coffee. They were accommodating and comped me for my drink for the next visit. I got "The Neapolitan" and it wasn't just pretty and appealing, it was yummy.
