Wooo weeee! I tried Halo burger for the first time a couple weeks ago and it's the best burger I've ever had from a fast food restaurant. It was well prepared and they got the order 100% correct which gives them an A+ for service. I don't have fast food often at all but this will be my go to for burgers. Ordered QP Meal & Mushroom Swiss Burger with Cheese Curds. Coming from CA this reminds us of Wendy's as far as the meat quality of the QP.. My sister did not like the mushroom burger, possibly just a bad combination for us personally. But i would def try more if I'm ever in the mood. I called up to get an explanation and all the manager could do was tell me their drawer wasn't short, but she did say that she got a new drawer from another employee, because hers was being closed out . Always unbelievably slow, sometimes erred orders, and staff that seems to be bothered by the fact you've disrupted their day. For a place that should be doing a hopping business, this isn't reflective of the Halo Burger franchise that we all know and love. read more

Expecting a burger that beats Cali's In-N-Out, I'd classify it as " The burger of the Midwest". I'm satisfied as the ingridients are fresh and juicy. A must while in Flint. OK this is a local chain. I grew up going here whenever we would visit Flint. So it was no question, when we came up for a visit, that this was a must go to. I am a guy, I can promise you it didn't come from me. I called the store manager, and they told me they would not refund my purchase. We loved this place before subway took over. We had a horrible experience and hadn't gone back but decided to try again. Not being busy at 6pm on a Friday should have been a clue. Service was slow and horrible. Ordered cheese sauce for my fries. The order sat in their counter for a while and hubby asked and they were waiting for the cheese sauce!! This is a pretty tasty, original local place. My wife's dad eats a burger here every Monday. The produce on the sandwiches (always a game-changer for me) is reasonably fresh, and the prices are as low as any of the fast-food mega-chains. They also have some unique burgers served in the local tradition (olives!). They also have Verner's Ginger Ale and some pretty tasty shakes. If you need your weekly injection of cholestorol, it's definitely an alternative to the mega chains, but service and overall food quality leave a lot of room for improvement. read more

Wow the Black Bean burger!!! Brought my daughter to play in the play area and have lunch. I had the Black Bean burger and onion rings they were both delicious. I added honey mustard to the black bean burger and it complimented it well!!! The black bean patty is as good if not better than some higher end burger joints. Daughter had the Dino nuggets which are always tasty!! Will definitely return more often, always looking for healthier options. Customer Service was great too!! I will start by saying we love the burgers at Halo Burger, and I myself have been eating Halo Burgers since I was a kid in the 60's. However, tonight, we were very disappointed. The employees at this restaurant apparently can't read. We are deaf, and my husband wrote out a note listing what we wanted for a to-go order. He gave it to the cashier. The cashier was having trouble figuring out what was written. The note was crystal clear; the cashier just can't read, I think. When my husband got home, we were upset that we didn't get the burgers the way we ordered them. I tried calling the location, but I was having a hard time understanding the guy who answered, and I was pretty mad, so I wanted to end the conversation. The last thing the guy said, which I DID understand, was, "Whatever." Ridiculous. Check your orders before leaving, even if it means opening each and every burger. Very often I do not get what I ordered on the burger, and this time was the last straw. read more

It's Halo Burger and nothing's ever wrong at a Halo Burger. This one is the best, it's near my house and I stop at the drive thru frequently on the way home from work or class. It is always good in the sense that it's consistent and the wait is never more than a few. I swear by the Q.P Combo Meal. It's my favorite fast food burger in the world. The meat on the burger is always a fresh patty, juicy and delish. I swear by the drive thru. I've only used the dining room a time or two, but it was nice and tidy, no litter in sight and the line at the counter was okay. There is a huge play area for kids too, which is why it's such a family oriented spot in Grand Blanc. read more

The food isn't as good as it was before Halo Burger was sold a few years ago. Onion rings used to be REAL onions dipped in batter. Now they're onion flavored batter squeezed out by machine. Burgers just don't taste the same either. read more

Halo Burger has my absolute favorite fast food fish sandwich. However, it's a double edged sword.. SUPER yummy and FRESH... but in order to get it so fresh, they don't make them on a regular basis. I was bedazzled when I saw the clever atmosphere of this fantastic example of a restaurant . I walked up to the cash register and ordered a children's meal. After I payed, I grabbed a nice cool glass of HI-C and sat down at a table close to the play area. When I opened the bag(after inhaling the captivating aroma), I was humbled to find a small box of dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets! I also discovered that they were kind enough to include a wee pack of fries. I carefully picked up a tender nugget and took a little bite. It was one of the best chicken nuggets I have ever tasted in my life! After finishing off those tasty treasures, I moved onto the fries. They were wonderfully made, soft enough to easily tear through, and crunchy enough to thrill the pickiest eater. I finished my cup of juice and carried my bag over to the trash bin. After I threw it out I noticed a small package peeking out of the meal bag. I reached into the bin and pulled it out of the bag. I was astonished to discover that it was a beautifully crafted small toy! I quickly tore open the package and yanked out my precious prize. It was a little Frisbee which I played with for hours and hours in the play zone. Finally the manager came over to me and politely told me that the restaurant was closing. I took my toy , left the restaurant, and stepped into the night. I still have that toy today, and I will never forget that great restaurant. read more

I'm so disappointed in the food they tried to call my all time favorite quarter pounder deluxe with cheese with olives and extra mayo first thing I noticed was just the weight of it didn't feel.heavy and the wrapper was dry them I unwrapped it didn't recognize the bun at all so I opened the sandwich a sad wilt y piece of lettuce small piece of tomato 4 olives yes 4 sliced olives the mayo looked like someone tried to wipe it off I asked for extra still trying to be the optometrist I bite into it disgusting to say the least I threw it away. Update: I've added a couple stars back because restaurant management appears to be getting involved and is taking action to correct things. I'm going to leave my original review below for reference. Was on a road trip and decided to stop here on the way out of town. I'm a MASSIVE fan of Halo Burger but his location has some issues. The food on his occasion was 'ok' but the service was TERRIBLE and for me to be saying that about Halo Burger breaks my heart. They messed up our orders, which weren't special orders or anything, we ordered a #3 and #4 combo and got a #1 and #4. Mistakes happen though, so I approached the counter to ask about having it corrected. We were the only people in the dining room at the time (though a couple cars were in the Drive-Thru, apparently)-- I say 'apparently' because when the person who had just taken my order saw me standing their, without evening asking what I wanted she said to me: "It's going be a minute before I can even talk to you I have cars in the DT." She then turned and walked away saying: "...sorry..." with a tone of voice that made it clear she couldn't possibly care less. Funny thing though, as we left the restaurant, we didn't see any cars in the Drive-Thru. Anyway, point is the Halo Burger on Holly Rd just a tad further south is so much better, I no longer consider his a valid location. read more

I have never left a review for a restaurant before but after my recent visit to Halo burger on Hill Street I felt that it was important for me to voice the terrible customer service that I received. I was born and raised in the Flint area but my educational pursuits have currently landed me in Virginia. After a 12 hour drive from Virginia my family wanted to stop at Halo Burger like they usually do. I was appalled by the customer service that a lady in front of me received and then I too later received from the shift manager, Erica. She was extremely rude to the customers and even reprimanded a new employee in front of me for getting my order wrong. Please provide this individual with additional customer service and managerial training so you can return to the status you once had. I have never witnessed anything like this before and hopefully I never will since I will not be returning to this restaurant again. read more
