The donuts here are actually good and fresh! The service was rather quick and they even gave us two donut holes in our bags each. That was really nice so it was like getting 1 1/2 donuts which my G-sons loved! Only problem was I didn't see a restroom. Looks like they may have had one but no access to it. Other than that a good place for coffee & morning donuts.

Drove 30 mins here only to find them closed at 5:35. If you're going to close early then update your hours. Nothing on the door to indicate why they closed early. Making people drive for nothing. Saw two customers other than me walk away.

Called to see if they had fresh bagels, they had onion and jalapeño and regular. They normally toast them and cream cheese But I wanted them to go... so she discounted them !!! Unfortunately the bagels where not fresh and were quite hard . That was quite disappointing :;

This is a great spot to grab donuts! Maple bacon and so many delicious choices. They also have plan bagels, iced coffee, smoothies, boba and lottery tickets! It's a great little shop where I see myself becoming a regular for coffee and a bagel. Bring cash, there's a $0.50 card fee for all purchases.

The owners are super sweet and the donuts are always fresh and tasty! I got the birthday donuts for my cousins birthday and she loved them!! You can customize the words you want to say, the frosting, and the color of the sprinkles! It is a very good price as well!!! In the Picture: I couldn't fit all of the word happy on the plate, but you can see how cute they are! - side note: if you get colored sprinkles they will pop more, but this was a personal preference!

I followed the good reviews to find this place while visiting Apple Valley. I got here early and there was nobody in the parking lot. I walked in to a full case of really good looking donuts. There are many drink options, other than coffee and juice. They have snack foods, ice cream, lottery tickets, and chewing gum. I can see this being the perfect donut shop for families. The man behind the counter was friendly and chatty. I chose a glazed old-fashioned donut and a small coffee. I sat down to eat it and do some studying (and write this review). The old-fashioned donut was not the best I have had, but it looked good and fresh. The coffee was not impressive and a little weak for me. The store was very clean, well lit, and the presentation in the donut case was very nice. There is plenty of seating with four large tables and two smaller ones. There were several visitors while I was there and I can see that this is the place for many locals. I didn't find any wifi for the place, but I connected to my hotspot. I was anxious to find a better old-fashioned donut, so I left and got donuts for the rest of my people somewhere else. I trust the reviews for this place, but I guess I was looking for something a little different.

Tried some old fashioned glazed at 6pm and they were still melt in ur mouth fresh! Also had a thai tea w/boba, pretty tasty just wish it had a stronger tea flavor. Apple fritter is pretty awesome too. Even the next day the donuts tasted amazing!! read more

We recently had a family reunion and decided to get some custom lettered donuts made of our last name for the event. I ordered them the day before and Halo Donuts has them ready for me to pick the next morning. The staff there were very pleasant and the wall art of sprinkles just gives the place a nice touch. They came out perfect and tasted so delicious! The donuts were a hit at that event. Everybody loved it!! Thank you so much !! the people are really nice, but the food could really use some improvements. i went a few times for ham and cheese croissant. the bread and cheese are good, but the ham is folded about 5 times into a tiny square that dries out when baked. i thought was just a weird thing that happened, but after 3 or 4 times i guess that's just how they do it and it's not good. a few days ago i went for some donuts. i really like french crullers. i ordered 6 of them, i ate the first one within about 5 hours when i got home and it was a rock. then i checked the next chocolate, a rock too. then the others that were for my wife, every single one was dried out and chewy.. if i dropped it on my foot it would hurt. i tried the microwave, didn't help. complete waste of about $8. read more

Stopped in to get some boba, but unfortunately the actual tapioca pearls were awful. They'd been overcooked and were unsweetened, so it made for a mushy unappealing mass in the bottom of the cup. I ordered 3 drinks and all were the same :/ read more

My family has been coming to this place for years. The older gentleman and wife are a delight. The younger man is chill too but whoever that younger Asian chick is, is beyond rude and shouldn't work with the public. She alone has turned me and my family away from this place. She just seems so miserable. If anyone else is working I'd definitely recommend this place. If you see her behind the counter just turn around and save yourself the attitude she throws out. read more

Amazing service and amazing donuts and taro boba tea! I didnt catch the young man's name who helped me, but I came in on a Friday around 4 o clock (so whoever worked that shift) helped me immediately, was really patient and helpful. I asked for a suggestion and he suggested the brown sugar cinnamon (which probably wouldn't have been my first pick) but trusting his suggestion I went with it, and I can absolutely say that was the best donut I have ever had, will forever be my favorite from now on. Will definitely come back again and highly recommend! read more

Whenever the need for donuts comes up everyone I know goes to Halo. They always have friendly and fast service. I work in education and I swear teachers eat more donuts than cops. At least once a week someone is having a donut craving. The school I work at is equally placed between two donuts shops. Everyone likes Halo the best. I have not personally tried the bacon maple bar but the male staff in my classroom have been talking about it all week. I think it is really cool when a donut shop in the high desert starts getting creative and trendy. One guy in my classroom only eats plain donuts and we have trouble finding them fresh in a lot of donut shops. Now that Halo opened that problem is long gone. All of their donuts are fresh and sometimes you can smell them cooking. So yummy. read more

I noticed a new donut shop that recently opened, so I stopped in on an afternoon break from work for a snack, and ordered two donuts - an "old fashioned" with a maple glaze, and a sugar raised donut. Both donuts were pretty decent. The sugar raised donut was soft, and had a nice yeast flavor. I see they also offer Bahn Mi sandwiches, so I'll have to come back sometime for lunch and update my review. Glad to see that this space is now occupied, and I wish the new owners well in their business venture. read more

A good stop when you're jonesing for something sweet. The donuts are nothing special, but the smoothies here are fantastic! They offer significantly more flavors than the other boba joints in the high desert, or at least the ones I've been to, and their boba is notably fresh. Added bonus: their seasonal drinks really hit the spot. This place might not be perfect, but I know where I'm going for my bubble tea from now on. read more

Well not much to really say about a donut shop, after all they are donuts. I will say they have very good donuts here though, and the best boba in the HD. (In my opinion) they only other place I think has better boba is down in chino hills at a Chinese restaurant called Peking Deli...which if your in the area I STRONGLY suggest u give them a visit! Halos facility is new and very clean, and their staff is always friendly! read more

The Old Fashioned is crispy on the edges and tender on the inside. It was a little bit bland so maybe I should get a glazed one next time. The Mochi donut is a good size and thickness. I liked the chewiness of the mochi added to the batter. Good flavor and mouthfeel. The donut was also very pretty with its lavender colored icing. The owners are very friendly and hard working. The store is clean and there is a lot of clientele. Definitely warrants a return trip to try the other donuts.

First of all - I've lived in the high desert 40 years and have eaten many donuts. This place is by…read morefar my favorite that just so happens to be right down the street from my home. Lucky me! The thing that is even cooler is that it's open 24 hours a day, so if I'm craving some sweet, doughy, crispy, and buttery goodness at midnight I can stop in to satisfy my craving. I've stopped in at 2am, noon, and also at 5am. Ya, I've been to Neil's dozens of times and every time the shelves are fully stocked and the aroma of chocolate and sugar is in the air coaxing me into partaking of its splendid delights. If you aren't in the mood for sugar, they also carry really delicious croissants that are perfectly balanced with crisp and flaky crusts. You can also get them containing ham, cheese, and or/jalapeños. You can have your treat warmed or not. My favorite donuts are their buttermilk, chocolate chip filled, and apple fritters in size medium or large. They also carry blueberry fritters in medium or large sized. The fritters - an amazing balanced amount crispy, buttery, and sweet, but not too sweet to the point of becoming overwrought with the sugar. When you want a touch of sweetness, but not croissant sweet, the plain top buttermilk donut should be your choice. It has soft bread within, but the outer layer is just crispy enough to melt in your mouth. To save the best for last, in my opinion - the chocolate chip filled donut. This is a donut I've been told the Victorville shop regularly has, but when Victorville brings their delivery to the Apple Valley shop, they don't bring over the chocolate chip. I'd even forgotten it existed until a couple weeks ago when I saw it displayed just above the custard and jelly filled donuts of the AV shop. What the donut is - it's like a jelly-filled donut, but rather than jelly or custard there is a chocolate chip and fudge mixture inside. Then the topping is a chocolate fudge icing. Oh, taking a bite of the soft, sweet, and fudgy splendidness is like getting in on a taste of heaven! Ya, I'm hungry for goodies now! Cross your fingers the AV shop has my chocolate chip treat today! NOTE: Recently the name of this donut shop changed. It is now Rainbow or something. I don't remember, but I'll update soon to let you all know! NOTE 2: Although I haven't been to the Victorville shop, I do know it's on the northeast corner of Bear Valley Road and Hesperia Road right by Vons. The area isn't great during the night, but it is well populated. I don't know if this shop is open 24 hours though. The Apple Valley shop's area is near a not-so-good neighborhood, but it's far enough away that I always feel safe any time of night and day I've been. It is just on the other side of Coldstone Creamery - they share a wall. Round Table and Subway are shops over. In case you're still unsure where this donut shop is, it is in the same shopping center as Target, but it's closer to Starbucks. Go check them out! There is seating for several people including a 2 person table out front. They accept credit/debit card, but I don't know if they accept other forms of payment besides that and cash. Please be sure to leave a tip in the tip box even if it's a few quarters!

I'd never even heard of one before, but now it's one of my favorites. Their muffins are amazing too. Everything tastes fresh and homemade, not like something that came off a truck. Grabbed the kids mac & cheese for my boys and they crushed most of it, so that says everything. My wife went with the poke nachos and really enjoyed them. Service was great -- Kimberly was our waitress and she was friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. No wait either, just walked in and sat ourselves which was a plus. The vibe is chill with a cool industrial steel/brick look that makes it feel unique but still relaxed. Patio looked really nice too -- it was windy today, but I can already tell summer evenings out there would be a move. We'll definitely be back.

The kids had a hard time with the menu because it shows the names in Italian, but the description is in English and easy to understand. The food is still good, the ambiance nice for a date night where you might want privacy, and the staff was pleasant and attentive. I was also pleased that the waiter was able to suggest a wine like they do in fancy movies. I love wine but always forget the names of the ones I like most. We will definitely be coming back here again.

That's honestly why this visit was such a disappointment. The new building itself is beautiful, and the ambiance isn't bad at all, but the food was a complete mess. Almost everything came out cold, lacked flavor, or just wasn't prepared properly. We ordered mac & cheese fries, carne asada fries, fried pickles, sandwiches, and drinks -- and every single one of us had something to complain about, which is rare for our group because we usually don't complain. The mac & cheese fries especially were rough. The macaroni wasn't even mixed together -- it felt like plain noodles thrown on fries with cheese dumped on top. Way too much pepper and almost no actual flavor. The guacamole was so sour it made one of the kids unable to eat his food, and he's the type of kid who eats basically everything. For the amount of time we waited (around 45 minutes), we expected the food to at least come out hot and worth the price, but unfortunately it just wasn't. The free chips and salsa while waiting was a nice gesture, but one tiny portion for five kids and three adults didn't really help much. The girls working there were sweet, but overall the service felt disconnected. Two cups of water got spilled and no one noticed or offered help. Toward the end of the meal they told us the arcade games in the back were free, which was nice, but by then the kids had already played because the food took so long. The fancy robots and tech are cool, but they don't make up for the lack of care going into the food. I truly hope this is just a rough start or growing pains because the food truck has set such a high standard. I know they're capable of so much better, and I'd honestly love to see this location improve
