My wife and I just got married in early October and I organized a custom cake, 6 dozen assorted flavors of cupcakes, and 8 dozen lemon cookies and couldn't have been more pleased. I worked with Leanne throughout the process who couldn't have been more helpful or reassuring the entire time. The inspiration that we sent the baker was executed perfectly and made our special day even better. If you have ever had Ham 'n Goody cookies before you know the flavor and quality is unmatched, but the quality of the custom carrot cake left my wife and I along with all of our guests floored. I always knew their cookies (especially lemon) were excellent, but I had no idea about their stellar breakfast biscuits!! I got a breakfast biscuit with bacon and cheese and it was so good. This biscuit was what o hope all breakfast biscuits will taste like when I bite into them. They're hard to find, but when you do, you're rewarded with a warm biscuits that's well cooked, but also so soft it feels like it's melting in your mouth. I almost went back a second day to get it again but they're closed on Sundays. Also the pricing for the cookies is great. They're $1.19 each and about $13 with tax for a dozen. read more

Wow. We were sad when Einstein's closed here but man, what a fantastic replacement. It's not bagels but it's delicious AND it looks like they serve breakfast which is great because we generally came for breakfast on days I started work late. First of all, you get your first lemon cookie FREE! We had never tried them but heard they were amazing and they were literally melt in your mouth goody goodness joy in my face. I am kind of glad I don't have the recipe because I would end up throwing moderation out the window and making them all the time they are so good. We were there on my lunch break (I get 30 minutes) and I think because it's a new location here on Cedar Bluff, the line was short so we were able to drive from our house, order and get and eat our food all within 25 minutes to the dot. My alarm I set for when we need to leave by literally went off as I finished my last bite of sandwich and was picking up my trash to throw away. So, they are quick to fill your order. I spaced out and forgot to take pictures of our food so I don't have pictures of those sorry. I got the Cedar Bluff Turkey 'N Cheese with no mayo/sauce and my husband got the Cisco. I tried a bite of his and he tried a bite of mine and I have to say I liked mine better haha. Mine was a hot sandwich that was delicious. You get a side so I got chips and I like to put them into my sandwich. My husband got the potato salad which he said was also good. We got a dozen lemon cookies to bring home and share with the kids. (I really wanted to eat more but I was already full from my lunch.). I am positive the cookies will be a hit with our girls (3&5yo) just like they were with us. We are SO excited to have another great lunch and breakfast establishment right down the road from our house! Hopefully my husband and I can go for another lunch date soon! We will definitely be back to try breakfast and come again for lunch... and tell all our friends about it. The food was okay. Very small portions for about $8 per meal. The "Scram-Bowl" gives the most food I would say and you can add any of the ingredients from their list. They give complimentary coffee and tea in the restaurant. But the lemon cookies are soooo goooood. That's what I would recommend here if you like lemon and cookies and delicious. read more

On my way to work this morning, I stopped by to get a ham and cheese omelette. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly; however, one young lady was putting on her makeup at the register while instructing another how to operate it. As to the food, it was a huge waste of $10! When I got to work and opened my to-go box, I was pleasantly surprised to find potatoes and toast with my omelette...at first. The potatoes were so dry, I could only eat them with a drink with each bite. After 2 bites, I was done with the potatoes. The toast was basically just bread...no "toastiness" to it at all. The omelette was possibly the worst I've ever had. There was no cheese inside with the ham...just a small sprinkling of cheese on the top. The ham had an odd taste to it. This review is for the Ham 'N Goodys in downtown Knoxville. While the staff is very friendly and sweet, I had a very bad experience with the food. I purchased a strawberry cake for $29.99 for my mom's birthday, and a ham sandwich box lunch. I ended up throwing most of the sandwich away as the ham tasted terrible and old. I then was so excited about the cake that we went ahead and started eating it before her birthday. It was so bad. Three of us had a slice and all commented about how bad it was. Came in for breakfast and have been a long time Ham N Goodys fan. Well, breakfast was horrible. Biscuits were dry and hard. Tea cakes were stale to a point of inedible. All of the tables were dirty and the staff members were sitting at tables on their phones. What a shame for a Knoxville institution. A classic case of people liking something for few reasons and for name notoriety. The food is not that good and overpriced. I have never seen cakes more expensive than this place. You can make 4 decadent cakes for the price of one there. Where will they cap prices? And who will keep paying them? Recent visit was awful with manager ignoring me while standing right by me at register. Would not acknowledge me at all at first until I almost walked out. While waiting on my order two gentlemen came up and one asked if there was more coffee. The manager said yes but we don't have it made or yes but we'd have to make it. Instead of making it! He didn't say he was sorry for it not being made. How in the world have they stayed in business with that manager? A cashier told an employee who came back from break about how busy it had been. I went there today and ordered a ham sandwich without mustard and two cookies. Which I have ordered three times before for lunch and had no problems. Today I had a rude blonde manager with glasses that was so rude to me I will never go there anymore. I had a problem with my sandwich and indicated it had mustard on it and he said I was rude to girl staff that seem to be a sweet girl. I asked him if she said something to him and I would apology if she felt that way. He told me no. I just told him I had mustard on my sandwich and showed him. I did not scream or talked loud. He was absolutely sure I did not order it that way. Since he was absolutely positively knew I was wrong. I told him just keep my sandwich. He finally kept harassing me and wanted to know what I wanted. Afterward, the man working there started to verbally harass me about it. I finally I got it fixed but he had me in tears walking out the door and he kept following me out the door. I told him to stop following me. I had such a bad experience it bothered me all day and I will never go there again. Just want to stay, think all the ladies there seemed so sweet. Just so you know, I got my sandwich in a plastic box but when he returned with it, he gave it to me in paper wrapper. He had me so flustered that I realize I never got my two lemon cookies that I had originally been given when they served to me the first time. Also, when he messed this up, I said to him, "Still really sure about the mustard? " He said he was sorry after he made me cry--but I don't think he was.
