Before my appointment was over, she had Dr. Khan examine me to see whether braces or Invisalign would be a better option for me. For more granular imagery they have portable wireless X-ray machines that look like they're just holding a camera in their hands. You're seated and there's a big screen TV in front of you where you get to see the X-rays display as they're taking them. Finally there's a tiny digital camera that is used for high resolution color photos of your teeth. I recently switched to Dr Chan from a different dentist. Dr Chan just discovered that one of my teeth has hairline fractures. My previous dentist didn't notice this. Dr Chan was able to show me digital color photos of the front and back of my tooth so that I could see the fractures myself. The dental hygienist who did my cleaning was very friendly and gentle. So cautionary note: be sure to verify with your insurance that you are within network before undertaking any work at this dental office or any other type of health service, involving insurance. When I laid out the facts, Brooke at their office did get back to us offering us an in-network rate for the work, as a one time concession. We accepted this, paid them, and will not be using this dentist again.

I was advised by Dr. Baloy that she would help and needed to speak to a prosthodonist for consultation on my jaw measurements - She told me to call the emergency line if I still had pain. I called and left a voicemail on sunday and no follow up from the office staff or the doctor. I followed up again and was told they would ask the doctor for a status and get back to me (it had been almost a week). No response again, so I called the following week and was told Dr. Baloy would be out until the end of June (how did no one tell me this previously). I said I was still in pain and they would ask another Dr to take over. Still no call back, their office is closed again today. There seems to be no urgency with a patient in pain. I like the Dr and her ideas for my teeth and jaw but I really would like some better follow up, communication and compassion from their office staff. Hopefully I hear back soon.
