Very cool stop on our drive. We bought a lot of souvenirs here and some of them were even 15% off for a Valentine's sale they were having. They are generous with their samples (although the coffee samples appeared to be all gone when we were there). It was kind of fun to look through the windows and see the macadamia processing in realtime. The only complaint is that the bathrooms have a strong smell of backed up sewage. Other than that, I really enjoyed our visit here.

Definitely the best ice cream I've had. I love how they freely give samples out to everybody really allows you to taste the quality which is very high before you buy. Some of the free samples include of the coffee of the macadamia nuts, and ice cream. Towards the back, you can see the factory and some of the production line. We will definitely be back to buy some more items. We were just on a little time rush going towards Kona. Be back soon!

This was a great experience for me and the family. Apparently they have a shuttle from Waikoloa to their shop. The greet everyone when they walk in which is awesome. The have all the tasting to the right when you walk in. Nui guided us to the back right where you can watch a 20 minute video of why their macadamia nuts are the best on the island. They also have a macadamia nut cracker that you can do on your own. They have a glass window so you can see the team packing all the nuts. And if you went left when you walk in you can have the wonderful ice cream. The store is bright, super clean, and the layout is organized.

Fun and cool visiting this store. They have free Mac nut and coffee samples, and an interactive section where you can crack your own mac nuts, learn more with videos, and see the factory workers through a glass. Parking very easy in its own lot.

Wonderful place to stop if you're staying in Waikaloa Lots of macademia nuts, coffee, granola, brittle, , cookies tarts and other treats Other souvenirs and nice items to bring back to the mainland for friends and family.

Plenty of parking and just a little bit outside of Kiwaihe, cool quick stop just after lunch. They have a sampling station set up to the right immediately after you enter for Macadamia nuts, and also some of their flavored coffee. If you wanted to try a flavor but it's not there, they're more than happy to give you some. There is a promo for buy 12 get 1 free. Catch it, it must be the same size cans. There's a few different categories of flavors, and each category has their own sized packaged, so it could be hard to mix and match between different flavors. Nice thing about it is the prices didn't seem too expensive. I compared it with a grocery store just a bit later and it's cheaper than the grocery store, so take that for what it's worth.

This place is a must visit on the big island. It's a bit hidden but you will not be disappointed when you get there. They have so many different flavored macadamia nut, a factory for you to check out, macadamia nut tasting, documentaries of how to produce macadamia nuts. Even hand cracking some nuts to taste the raw, before roasted nuts . They advise you not to eat it but we did and it's really good. So it's your decision. Their ice cream is BUMB. So many unique flavors and the quility beats so those fancy boho creams hop in LA. Trust me on ice cream. You have to have at least one!

The Absolute Best Meal on the Island--A Masterclass in Food & Service!…read moreIf I could give Seafood Bar & Grill 10 stars, I would. This wasn't just a dinner; it was our absolute favorite meal of the entire trip. We didn't even have a special occasion to celebrate--we just had a phenomenal experience here in the past and couldn't wait to return. They somehow managed to exceed every expectation. From the second we walked in, we were blown away. We loved the Tiki Bar, everyone is family when you walk in, history covering the walls ambiafamily-friendly; ev Seafood We were greeted by Dave Yurtin, the owner, who set up a fabulous table for us inside. But here is the kicker: Dave actually remembered us from our first visit two years ago! Talk about a total legend. We couldn't believe his memory--that is next-level hospitality. Our server, Ryan, provided spectacular, world-class service. He didn't write a single part of our big order down and got absolutely everything 100% right. He was attentive, fast, and incredibly sharp--he even remembered at the end that my mother-in-law had asked for onion rings once she was finished, before changing her mind. Incredible! Now, let's talk about the food and drinks because WOW. We started with the drinks, and these were hands-down the absolute best Mai Tais we have had on the island. Every single dish that hit the table was a home run: - Escargot: Wow, wow, wow, wow! Absolutely phenomenal. The pesto and cheese with the garlic bread? Unreal. - Seafood Quesadilla & Coconut Shrimp: Perfectly executed and delicious. - Braised Short Ribs: Out of this world. Fall-off-the-bone tender. - Pineapple Macnut Slaw: Insane flavor. Do not skip this! - Garlic Bread: Spectacular and perfect for soaking up every last bit of flavor. - Fish Linguine: A rich, perfectly balanced cream sauce packed with different types of fresh fish. Somehow, we saved room for dessert and tried FOUR different ones: the Key Lime Pie was unbelievable, the Lilikoi Pie and Kona Coffee Pie were spectacular, and the NY Cheesecake with Lilikoi Sauce was the perfect grand finale. Between Dave's legendary memory, Ryan's flawless service, and a kitchen that doesn't miss, Seafood Bar & Grill is an absolute must-visit. We will be talking about this meal until our next visit! Thank you for an unforgettable night!

Our server Matt recommended my mom try the black bean seafood combo, and she was pleasantly surprised by how much she loved her meal! My husband got the cajun style fresh catch and loved his meal! The burger is only available as a combo for about $25, the fish tacos were $36, fries are $7 (and unfortunately not very memorable), and the restaurant adds a 7.5% service fee before prompting for an additional gratuity. By the time everything is totaled up, what looks like a casual lunch turns into a very expensive meal. If you're looking for a splurge, the food is fine. If you're expecting a laid-back burger-and-taco spot with reasonable prices, you may experience some sticker shock. I'd happily come back for the food if the value proposition were better, but next time I'd probably look elsewhere for lunch.

Chef Gino is generous with both his talent and his portions. Every dish showcases fresh ingredients, expert preparation, and a genuine love of Italian cooking. The menu is seafood-forward, featuring fresh local catches, handmade pasta, and flavors that are both authentic and creative. This family-run restaurant is made even more special by Claudia, Chef Gino's wife and culinary partner. Claudia bakes fresh focaccia daily and prepares the restaurant's gnocchi and pasta from scratch. As hostess, she warmly welcomes every guest and effortlessly serves as the restaurant's "walking menu," describing each dish with passion and detail. The presentation is stunning. Lobster, octopus, shrimp, clams, scallops, and house-made pasta arrive beautifully plated and bursting with flavor. The fresh focaccia alone is worth the visit. Every meal feels thoughtfully prepared, from the first bite to the last. What keeps me coming back is that the food is genuinely craveable. I find myself dining here every couple of weeks for lunch, and more often than not, I leave with a takeout order for dinner because I know I'll be thinking about it later. Cipriano's Kitchen isn't just serving Italian food--it's creating an experience centered around family, hospitality, and exceptional cooking. Kawaihae is fortunate to have this gem, and anyone who appreciates fresh seafood, handmade pasta, and heartfelt hospitality should make it a destination. A true Big Island favorite. "Come hungry. Leave happy. Plan your next visit before you've even finished your meal."

At the ending of the day it is a gas station and I'm there to get what I need and be on my way. Their food is great, I must say. The fried chicken and potato wedges--or even bentos is a MUST when stopping there. ***I was just there last night, 7/14/26 and there were 2 employees on the floor talking smack about one of their co-workers. I grabbed what I needed and waited at the register. The employee was standing about 6 feet away from me making drum noises on a pile of boxes and I asked her if anyone was at the register. She said "Yeah, SHE IS" and pointed to the other employee pulling trash from the hot food area. There was also another customer standing behind me waiting to check-out. The drumming of boxes continued too from the other employee.*** If you don't need to go there, go to the next gas station.
