Clean, not over crowded, great snack bar with ice cream, excellent security for a private beach for Hamburg/Blasdell residents for a reasonable seasonal sticker. Even discounted for seniors. Love to sit on top park area and enjoy the shade and view. Convenient port a pods on top too!!

My favorite local beach. You have to be resident and get a beach sticker only for $15. Less crowded, good view, has little shack with basic food, decent price and good taste. Sometimes after work I would just stop by and sit for a moment enjoying the breeze.

Fantastic little spot but I was visiting from out of town and you have to be a resident to stay. Bummer!!!

Nice to revisit your youth on this trip to Buffalo. We used to walk in here from the Saint Francis high school for some exhilarating fun at the beach. What did we know about the Outer banks or Miami? Now this is just relaxing and the lake has been cleaned up considerably.

Love our beaches here on Lake Erie. Clean, good parking, rentals, snack shop! Beautiful views and super convenient!! My only gripe is if you are not a Hamburg resident you can't visit.... BUT. You an drive a few miles up the raid to other beaches that have the same offerings. I enjoy watching the world d surfers here and it's a town crowd pleaser to watch the sunset Just grab a seat along the wall and watch the view!!

A bit rocky and a view of buffalo but lots of parking, space and small waves. Great for relaxing and small kids!

Spoke to a surfer as she was getting into the water and she said, "a bad day surfing in Buffalo is better than a good day at the office".

This was a cute beach and town to visit. Having to pay to access a beach is a bummer (looking at…read moreyou New Jersey), but I get it. Having to pay for parking on top of it is even worse. We went an hour-ish before sunset and the meters were off so that helped a bit. The beach area was packed and people were having a great time. The water was clear, trash free and we could let the kids swim without having to worry or constantly watch them. The facilities were being cleaned while we were there and it had a nice playground for younger kids. It was nice to watch the sailboats head out the marina on a beautiful day. The town was quaint and I can see why families like it. If you're looking for a cozy beach town, this seems to be a great spot. (We also had a chance to visit Lakeside Park Beach, Port Dalhousie and it's also another good option). I only took off a star because it felt like a bit of a money grab, but they're clearly putting effort into the beach and facilities so I can't complain too much.

Crystal beach is one of my favourite beach in Ontario!…read more Pros: Crystal clear water Water is not too cold Clean beach Soft fine sand Shallow water even as you go further in Calm waters Clean washroom Cute restaurants around the area Nice playground for kids Family oriented Ice cream shops for the kiddies Cons: Parking is so expensive at $15 to park all day. Used to be $10 precovid. To get in admission it's $10 per person it used to be $5 pre-Covid. This can get expensive with a large family Gets pretty busy in the summer time Smaller beach compared to the other ones in Ontario Restaurants are about a 5-10mins walk away so it's best to bring your own lunch and a cooler of drinks with snacks If you're looking for a clean beach and don't mind paying for the parking and admission this is the beach for you. I took one star off for the parking and admission. Otherwise 5 stars all the way!

PROS: - There is no lifeguard and no swimming allowed, which means it's mostly child-free and thus has a much calmer environment than other area beaches. - I've visited twice (each on a weekday) during COVID and it's been not crowded and easy to socially-distance from the few other folks. - Immaculate bathrooms easily accessible from the beach. - Close, ample, and free parking. CONS: - More rocks than sand. if you're going to relax and watch the water, simply bring a camp chair and that won't matter. The rocks are really pretty, too! - No swimming allowed, so if you're looking to take a dip, head elsewhere. - Very little, if any, shade on the beach itself. Bring an umbrella.

When you enter, there are soccer fields…read more They are used by a local youth soccer organization, so don't be surprised if it's crowded on a weekday evening during soccer season. Overall though, this park sits mostly empty. The property was formally owned by the Wendt family, but the county has not maintained the house, guest house, and stables. They are all Boarded up and painted white. I think in the 60s or 70s a restaurant operated in the main house. People come to this park for the quiet beach access. Between a cut in a hill, you can access the beach. It has twigs and stones scattered about. It's certainly not maintained or swept with a tractor. If there were any recommendation, it would be to sweep this beach with a tractor regularly, I think the park would really generate a lot more visitors. The bathrooms were in great condition and very clean. There is a mural on the exterior bathroom wall. And, this year, the county's bike-hike trail was entered through the park. You could travel to Bennett beach from there by using the trail. There are picnic benches. I was there recently where a small birthday party was held.
