We ordered three short rib dishes, one ahi pole, one teriyaki chicken and three spam Musubi. The ribs were flavorful but too salty. Some pieces were over-grilled and burned. Teriyaki chicken was tasty. Ahi poke was average. Spam Musubi had too much rice. For drinks, we tried three different ones. Sour Ale was good but IPA was average. We also ordered canned pineapple juice (one of the few NA options). The POG juice didn't really have much guava flavor. Overall, it's not my choice for food and drinks when I'm in the area again. read more

Walked in for a beer and a bite. I had seen photos that they had good looking pizza so I thought I would grab a slice. Turns out the day I walked in was their pilot day of moving their menu to a Hawaiian barbecue. Boy was it a welcome alternative to pizza!! The dish was so delicious, perfectly seasoned fish, delicious sides, a delicious sauce. The spam musubi was fresh, comforting and familiar. Now all of that is great and worth coming in for that alone, but the service really clinched this place as a top tier location to check out. The head chef David is a super friendly, giving, and welcoming person. The bartender had great responses to all of my beer questions. We stoped in for lunch today to check out the new Hawaiian BBQ inside, the burger steak was delicious. It reminded me of a good home made Salisbury steak with a spicy, tangy gravy. Just enough heat to give it a kick without overpowering. The home made Mac salad was very good as was the coleslaw which had a sesame oil taste (not the mayo based stuff usually served in the 716). The spam misubi was great as well, I haven't had spam sushi before but I'm a fan now. This is a small, cozy place with a friendly and helpful staff. Vinny greeted us when we entered and gave us samples of beer to try. I decided on the Manru lager, while my husband chose the English IPA cask ale. Both were very good and satisfied our thirst. Next up, we decided to order a Detroit style meat lovers pizza. It was delicious! It was the best Detroit style pizza that we've ever had. It wasn't greasy and the crust had just the right amount of crunch. Make sure you try one. Buffalo Brewing Company is home to some great, Buffalo-original beers but they are also home to the best Detroit-style pizza I have ever had thanks to Buffalo Deep Dish. Now I can add on and say Buffalo Deep Dish bakes a real good Chicago Deep Dish pizza too! Some family and I were near KeyBank Center on a Saturday night and we had a hankering for pizza, so I recommended we walk over to Buffalo Brewing Company and grab a couple Detroit-style pizzas. We arrived around 6:45pm and easily were able to grab a high-top table and peruse the beer and food menu. Once we knew what we wanted, I went up to the counter and placed our order. After our beers were poured, I brought them back to our table and we had a nice time chatting as college football was playing on the TVs overhead. Around 10-15 minutes later our starter, Pizza Logs served with a side of their pizza sauce, arrived with plates, napkins and forks/knives. These were pretty good, nothing that "knocked my socks off" but good! They paired well with my Pineapple Cream Ale (delicious!). About 10 after that, our dinner arrived. Sadly, just as we arrived, they had sold out of all their Detroit-style pizzas for the day, so we decided to order their Cheese & Spinach Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. This was phenomenal! It has been a few years since I have ordered a Chicago Deep Dish but Buffalo Deep Dish nailed it! There were eight slices, plenty for the three of us, and each slice was hearty with tons of cheese and spinach and their sweet red sauce on top with a generous amount of parmesan sprinkled on top. The dough was cooked perfectly as the undercarriage was able to hold everything together. The crust was buttery and solid, but not crispy/crunchy; it was the perfect "wall" to grab onto as I ate each slice. The flavors were on point though and for as hearty of a pizza Chicago Deep Dish is, this sat with us very well as we devoured the entire pie. The price of the pizza may look high, but this is a Chicago Deep Dish Pizza, so it takes more ingredients and time to make, which was well worth the cost to us! Buffalo Brewing Company with Buffalo Deep Dish are a 1-2 knockout! Friendly staff, unique, interesting beers, and amazing pizza. After the couple experiences I have had, this has become a new spot I would recommend going to with family and friends when we want to go out for some drinks and crazy-good pizza! read more

I heard about Buffalo Brewing Company from a food reviewer named Daunte Eats. He went to this location for pizza. When my friend and I arrived the (I assume owners) greeted us and informed us that the pizza maker no longer worked there but they did have BBQ items on the menu. Although I had my taste buds ready for pizza, no one in this area makes Chicago style pizza so we decided to stay. The customer service was TOP TIER! They were so friendly and attentive, best customer service I've had in quite a while. We ordered from the appetizer and sides menu and we got so much food for only $40 and we both left full, happy and we had leftovers. The pretzels were fresh and hot, I wasn't a fan of the beer cheese but the pretzel was perfect with mustard. The baked beans had a good flavor with pieces of brisket (I think), the mac n cheese was good but it needed a little pepper. The sauce on the kielbasa was AMAZING!! I scooped some into a spoon and drank it lol.. The candied bacon was really good as well, maybe a little bit softer but I would get it again. The burnt ends were great, we tried 3 different sauces with them and it made them taste even better. The brewing company has about 30 in house bbq sauces to taste as well. read more

I went here two times even though I am not a beer drinker AT ALL!!! This place is small but it helps make things personable. The first time I came, I went by myself and had the sampler. I received 4 small glasses of different beer for $10. My favorite was the cran-raz. I wish they had crackers or something so I can clear my pallet after each glass. Luckily, I saw that they sold chips. I didn't like that each small bag was $2 but I definitely needed them. The second time I went I was with 2 friends who actually drink beer and they enjoyed themselves. They were also disappointed in the fact that there were no crackers or pretzels available, and there was no bathroom in the facility. But they did enjoy the beer they chose. read more

In a small and unassuming building near Larkin Square sits the Buffalo Brewing Company. We stumbled in here around 9:30pm on Friday night because we weren't ready for the night to end yet after checking out another spot down the road. This spot wasn't exactly what I expected. Many breweries in Buffalo are done in the warehouse style where they have ample dining, seating, and bar areas within view of brewing equipment. In those cases the brewing equipment is not only used to make the beer, but it serves as background decoration. This one was the opposite. I felt more like they stuffed a couple of benches and built a make shift bar in the middle of the brewing floor. I'd describe it as more of a tasting room than bar. While the guy working was friendly and helpful, I tried three of their beers and wasn't overwhelmed by any of them. The fact that the beer I was drinking was BOGO kind of saved this place for me. read more

Stopped in for a tasting today and was greeted as soon as we walked in. The tasting area was small, there's a standing bar and some standing room but that's it. The staff was friendly and talkative, nice relaxing atmosphere for sipping on beers. There were 5 beers on tap today: 2 Ales, an IPA, a porter, and a lager. The beers are pretty good and there's a good mix of light, medium, and dark beers. Most are named with a year that has historical significance, and the paper menus tell you what each year commemorates. My two favorite beers were the Porter and the Vienna Lager. I thought the Porter was dark and full-bodied, and I loved it since I lean towards dark beers. The Vienna Lager had a great taste with a smooth finish, but I cannot compare it to anything I've had before, likely due to the imported hops. Took a growler of the Vienna Lager home for $15 and looking forward to enjoying it again and again this week. No food here, but this is a nice stop to taste, enjoy a pint, or fill a growler. There's a small counter area and a few high round tables to congregate around. We had 2 flights, tasted everything they had. I wasn't wowed but it was alright. Great beer in a tiny, but very friendly neighborhood place. An outdoor patio will soon be open to enjoy the nice Buffalo summers. The beer is spot on and has many great tasting varieties to choose from. You can get samples, full size glasses, or fill growlers or crowlers. Yes that's a 1 qt. can (crowler) they fill on the spot and then cap and label in front of you. They can even snap on a 3 can connector for easy carrying. A really neat idea for on the go. I love the logo and the t-shirts, hoodies And hats are fun to grab. They even have a display case with some of Buffalo's brewing history pieces in it. It's a great place to stop in and chat with the owner/Brewer and enjoy some of Buffalo's best local craft beer. read more

I live in Virginia but was home for the holidays and went with a few of my family members. It was a great experience! The tap room is decorated with many antiques and feels homey although it is on the smaller size. The location is close to Larkin Square, the staff was very knowledgeable about the beers and the process, and all of the beer was delicious. The IPA was my favorite and my fiancé who helped to open a brewery in Manassas, VA said the Vienna Lager was one of the best he's ever tasted !! read more
