Dr. Javadi was great but I saw him only briefly. Ginger his billing clerk is the one you must be careful with. My 1st on Feb 3rd and my second visits were paid for with my Delta Dental and a Co- Pay and I gave her my Visa card. You trust the office staff of your dentists and doctors and others.The next day I went to our local Wells Far.where I have had an acct since 1993), and lo and behold NOT A PENNY LEFT. GINGER never gave me a bill which I would happily have covered. She simply withdrew $2,231 from my checking. I called the BBN, Consumers, and the District Attorneys Office, and the DA'S office. The District Attorney's Office said file a Police Report and I will do that, though it will be the DA'S decision as to how to move forward. I have a huge problem with GINGER GOING INTO MY ACCOUNT AND DEBITING WHAT EVER SHE FELT LIKE . LOL Sadly it isn't really humourous tho I am trying. I have a bit of a problem with Wells Fargo over drafts. Yep that too. I just read another review of GINGER. A male patient who after checking his bill saw an error in the billing codes. He pointed. the mistake out to Ginger and asked her to correct the coding but she refused. As much as I enjoy the peaceful, calm of the Javadi and respect his skills he kindly lessened my pain. How to move forward ? When I spoke to him about GINGER he said she had been doing this for him for 20 years, he had nothing to with the billling/book keeping ? Dr. Hamed Javadi deserves a five star, for he exceeded my own expectations! When I first entered his office, I was kindly greeted by all of the people who have worked there and they were so friendly and so kind to me. They were making sure that I was ready to get all of my 4 wisdom teeth off by asking me if I had taken my meds before coming over to Doctor Hamed Javadi's office. When I then sat down on the chair they started to put laughing gas on me, and honestly I didn't feel pain at all, in fact around the end of the operation I was sleeping! During the whole dental procedure, I was relaxed with no worries what so ever and they even motivated me throughout the whole dental procedure and made sure that I was comfortable during the operation. And the craziest part was that it only took them less than one hour, even though the 2 bottom wisdom teeth of mine were sideways. To be honest, Doctor Hamed Javadi and all of his workers were so kind to me and so serious with their work, my teeth was taken care of professionally and they cleaned my gums up very nicely and answered every question that I asked them. They also gave me stuff to take home to take care of my gums and teeth like a bottle of prescribed mouthwash and instructions on how to take care of my mouth while under recovery. It has now been 2 months since my operation and I have been checked and my gums are recovering just fine! All in all, it was a quick, easy, and tremendous experience! I am going to start recommending everyone to Dr. Hamed Javadi. It was by far one of the best painless experiences I have ever had at a Dental office. read more

Had a pinhole surgery and felt no pain after the surgery :) It went much better than I thought

Dr Javadi, Jade, Bonnie, and Ginger are the best at what they do. Jade, Dr. Javadi's assistant is knowledgeable, competent, kind and a gentle technician. Bonnie and Ginger, the ladies at the desk, are both extremely knowledgeable, and make the process so easy, I was almost sad when my work was done. Now for Dr. Javadi... I had been warned for over two decades by dentists and oral surgeons about the difficulty of the extraction I had Dr. Javadi do for me. I had been warned that I most likely would need a bridge or I that I'd have to wear a retainer because an implant would be almost impossible. I have extremely rare long roots. The tooth he worked on was not only long, it was calcified to the bone almost into my sinus. I'm a mature woman who has quite a bit of bone loss too. Also, an inexperienced dentist had mistakenly done a root canal on that tooth as well, so it was very fragile too! Dr. Javadi was able to get that very difficult implant installed without incidence or trauma. Jade said there's only about 3 doctors in the entire state with the competence and skill to manage what he did, and I believe her. The man is a master! Yes, Dr. Javadi costs more than a regular dentist, but I'm so grateful I don't have to wear that horrible retainer with a tooth on it the rest of my life. Or worse yet, damage other good teeth for a Bridge! I'm so grateful I wasn't traumatized. I'm so grateful that during that time Dr Javadi was installing the implant, he didn't give up...that even though it was an extreme situation, one that cost him quite a bit more than a routine implant...he stuck with me. I have been in the dentist chair my whole life.. First I had bad teeth, then bad gums, and now bad bone. I love Dr. Javadi. As someone who has donated their mouth to dental science I should know a great dentist when I work with one. He has gentle hands, is very sensitive to your pain, and gives a great novacaine shot! I don't like those Docs who are heavy handed. Dr. Javadi's work is excellent. Just TODAY, I had an implant inserted by him. I swear to you, believe it or not, it didn't hurt AT ALL. Go see Javadi. Not only do I have nice things to say about him, but all of his staff are great as well. Anyone looking for a periodontist needs to come to Dr. Javadi. No one likes getting gum work done at all. When my dentist told me I need a gum graft I was terrified b/c I heard horror stories of how painful it was. I'm a pretty tough person but am a big wuss when it comes to dental work... it's like a complex that I have. The great thing about Dr. Javadi is that he's really understanding of patient fears and takes the time to explain the procedure. He didn't try to upsell me and tell me I needed more work than necessary. His staff is very professional and friendly. After all of this fear leading up to the procedure, it was done in a zip and I recovered really well. Also I might add that he did an excellent job on my gum graft. It looks really natural. Dr. Javadi is knowledgeable and more importantly funny. He placed a few implants and not only his gentle hands made it easy to handle but he kept me entertained with a friendly conversation. If you end up on his chair ask him about the school he went to and he won't stop talking telling you funny stories. Aside from jokes, the implants are very comfortable now and as my dentist was telling me they have changed the quality of my life. No more partial dentures for me. Javadi and one of his hygienist did not pass "bedside manner" class in dental school, that much is clear. The kindness, compassion, gentle approach, and modifications towards a patient exhibiting high dental anxiety were completely absent. and I was just in the office for a consultation. The lady at the front desk was top notch, and sweet as can be, which helped when I was given the $9000.00 estimate for recommended procedures. If the patients fear isn't compassionately addressed in a simple consultation, you aren't getting a dime of my hard earned money. I would be fired for treating a customer so poorly. read more

Years of negligence on my side was well treated and reversed by the extensive surgery he did. The surgery was done 8 months ago and the results are highly satisfactory. Maybe Dr. Jivadi has more time for his clients in San Francisco, because he neglected my dental health as a patient in his San Rafael office. I had been a patient of Dr. Jivadi for 3+ years and during that time he never requested a full mouth x-ray. When I recently switched dentists (I see a dentist and a periodontist in tandem) the new dentist ordered full-mouth x-rays. These x-rays showed that I have two cavities under two crowns, requiring, according to Jivadi, a $10,000 operation! If this was detected earlier, the remaining teeth could have been saved and fitted with new crowns. But because he never requested those x-rays I never knew: No matter how diligently you brush and floss, brush and floss, if the doctor you hire to look after your health cuts corners to save time and money, you will get screwed. I am requesting a peer review of Dr. Jivadi's practice with the California Dental Association. read more

I only got to see Dr. Javadi for a consult.I needed a lot of peridontal work. The first and only thing I had done was deep cleaning of my mouth. The dental hygenist was amazing! I got nitrous oxide for the first time and it was very helpful in tolerating the procedure . I have good dental insurance and have never paid much out of pocket for a deep cleaning...this dentist charged 1600.00 for a deep cleaning... seriously? My insurance paid 725.00 which is about right for a deep cleaning.. I am supposed to pay the rest? ..I should have gotten a preauthorization of this procedure from the dentist first before I agreed to this cost.. I was told nothing by the dentist receptionist except that I had a 30.00 co pay.. I moved away after having this cleaning and then received the 800.00 + bill.. not good practice. read more

Dr. Javadi's place is proof that you don't have to fear gum surgery and you can go to someone who is compassionate, humane, highly experienced, (and even funny.) Really grateful on my end. Maybe it's because I'm on vicodin right now, but I really like Dr. Javadi and his staff! He's actually a periodontist/specialist. So you should hope to never visit his office. I rarely give yelp ratings to businesses. I find, in most cases, the only people who frequently yelp are dissatisfied customers. But I do believe we should give credit, where credit is due. I have had the most incredible experience with each and every person I have met on Dr. Javadi's staff from Ginger in the front office to Jade and Leslie the assistants. I was very apprehensive about having full mouth implants done. But I needed it done so I just dove into doing it. I had my uppers done on a Friday morning and was back at work answering phones on Monday morning. I had absolutely no pain during the surgery or when I went home. I did take one pain pill when I got home because I wasn't sure what to expect. Never needed another one. I was fine the next day a little swelling on Sunday morning, which went away very quickly with an ice pack. I love the look of my new top teeth. My friends can't believe how natural they look. I had such a great experience that I'm planning to do the bottoms very soon. I am writing this for anyone who is concerned about the process of the full mouth implants. You will be very happy with the work you will have done with Dr. Javadi. He is caring and compassionate and made me feel very comfortable with my decision. Thank you again Dr. Javadi. read more

Dr. Hamed Javadi is a dentist I trust to do any of my dental surgery and implants. He placed two implants in my bottom right molar area last year and I am very happy with the results! No problems, and ever so grateful to be able to eat on that side of my mouth again. His staff are very professional, and friendly. Dental work is always frightening for me, so I appreciate his calm, friendly demeanor and willingness to be patient with my questions. Top ratings from me! I am pretty sure you need an appointment to arrange to work with him to take care of your surgery needs. Missing teeth? Better get implants while you still have bone left, because I learned that missing teeth makes you lose bone. I would recommend you find another periodontist, who's professionalism and mannerism places his patient's sensitivities first. I was disappointed with the lack of empathy from Dr. Javadi during the implant service he provided me. Likewise, for his staff. First off, when I needed to see him for an emergency on the weekend, after the temporary crown he placed came loose, he seemed very inconvenienced and had little to say to me. His staff also kept me waiting for over an hour once in his waiting room. On another occasion, his staff made my appointment in Novato, when I had been receiving all my services at his San Rafael office. They neglected to tell me, and I had to wait an entire week before I could see him - since he is only in San rafael on Thursdays and fridays. I also felt his services were more costly than other periodontists, and were not fully explained to me from the onset. read more

Great periodontist. I had a crown lengthening done on my very back tooth, which can be very uncomfortable to keep your mouth open. He checked in often throughout the very short procedure to make sure I was doing okay. He made, what I though a serious dental procedure, seem like it was just going for a cleaning and felt well taken care of. My dentist sent me to Dr. Javadi because I had deep pockets and problems with my gums in general. Not a fun thing to find out that you got 7mm pockets and that bacteria is eating up your bone!! In Dr. Javadi's office I was treated with compassion and they where helpful and kind in every way. I did the gum surgery under IV-sedation and don't remember much of it and prefer it that way. There was a few days on soup and pain killers but my gums are healing up nicely. I'm getting closer to 45 and like to keep my teeth a while longer. Unfortunate, one tooth where doomed and had to be pulled. Since Dr. Javadi done such a fantastic job with the gum surgery for me and also for a co-worker, he won my trust and I'm seeing him in a few month to replace the space with a dental implant. He is a true expert in his area. I felt at ease with him and his staff. I'll can say that if you need an implant or have crappy gums, see him! I'm trying to get my mother to go. read more
