I have never had such a horrible experience as we did at Hamilton. I wish I would've read reviews and researched them a little bit more before we decided to purchase from them. My husband and I have bought several vehicles over our life. My son just out of high school had been working on building credit. We decided to co-sign on a loan for him to get the vehicle in hopes of building credit and being able to eventually get the vehicle he wanted. He works a great job, as a responsible kid and deserves everything he works for. From day, one after getting the Nissan it has been nothing but problems with Hamilton. Unable to get a hold of a person. Unable to have somebody explain what they did in the paperwork that they snuck in to even just schedule an oil change. Luckily my son makes enough money to correct their mistake. The things that they did, the things they snuck in that my son had to correct was definitely an eye-opener. I truly hope people research this place before going there. They are very shady and I do not know how they are still in business. Got absolutely swindled. I purchased a vehicle from them several years ago and got 12 "free oil changes" and a couple other items for an upfront fee, which was fine, so I would hang out there every couple months, get the free oil change, and some routine maintenance. I used their online system to schedule my last trip, and chose from an array of menu options for different recommended services, and since my car is a little older now, I got more than the oil change and selected some other things that had no price listed along with my free services. The final estimated price was $145.00. When I arrived, the technician double checked my order and I waited inside. It was several hours, which I thought was odd but since I was getting more than an oil change, didn't think much of it. When it was time to pick up my vehicle the bill was just over $1,030.00. I was shocked to say the least. The technician who checked me out saw that look on my face and gave me her card and said all the managers had left for the day but I could call her tomorrow. I did and spoke to her supervisor, Don. Don and I spoke for awhile about the wildly inaccurate and misleading pricing. He asked if I thought some of the services I asked for were free, and stated some services don't list a price. When I was choosing services with no price, they were not free but unlisted because they vary by vehicle. I told him if there's no price expressed online or in person, how am I supposed to know? I expected to pay close to the estimated cost and there were no other costs disclosed to me at ANY time (let alone 10x the original cost). I asked how we could make this right and he offered some vague discounts for future services, and I said I was interested in a refund between my final bill or original bill (or something significant). He said he didn't have the authority to do that and would call me with his manager the following business day. That day never came so they lost a customer regardless of how many free oil changes I had remaining, and I will be following up with the Better Business Bureau. They have the right to charge whatever they like for services, but to never disclose the amounts is downright unethical. read more

Didn't tell me it was in an accident, and when I asked for a carfax they lied and said they didn't have one and that their history check system was just as good. DO NOT BUY USED CARS FROM THEM! They sold me a broken car and wouldn't take responsibility for it! 3 months after purchase the whole engine blew out. Three days after purchase I had to go back because the car was falling apart underneath. They don't fix or check the used cars before they sell, they only clean a little and done. The engine was faulty at time of purchase proved by Chrysler when took to service. Hamilton Nissan offered a lifetime benefit ar time of purchase for the engine and guess what , Will Swartz at Hamilton Nissan told me to read the small print because my car does not qualify. Also, the car they sold to me had an important recall and they made me sign off that there are no recalls on the car. Took my Nissan Xterra here for a noise. They replaced multiple heat shield brackets and did a radiator flush. They gave me the vehicle back and said your noise is coming from the brake/rotors. I chose not to get them done. Left and 10 minutes later a brake line failure occurred. I brought the vehicle back and had it repaired. The reason for the low rating, they quoted me at $5K to do the entire brake line, $422 for fronts and another $422 for rear brakes and rotors. They also recharged me a $140 diagnostic fee when we could literally point at the failed brake line next to the truck. $280 for 6 inches of brake line. A week later I went online and paid less than $200 for OEM brakes and rotors "front and back" and had my mechanic brother and his master mechanic friend check the vehicle and do the brakes and rotors "which did need done" but absolutely was not the noise. They also discovered brake lines that looked new through out the vehicle and said it should never cost anywhere near $5K for brake lines even if they did need replaced. Absolutely absurd the noise was never diagnosed when I was charged not once but twice for a "diagnostic fee". read more

TL;DR. Helpful dealership with an easy and helpful buying process and also went above and beyond to solve an issue with my new car. They now have my business, respect and recommendation! So I'm from VA, and after a lack of inventory that fit my budget/mileage/features, I started looking in other states for a used car to replace my 2010 Toyota Corolla. I saw a 2021 Nissan Sentra at Hamilton that contained all the features I wanted, was in my budget and had the right amount of miles. Tara contacted me about a possible test drive after I showed interest on their website, and after some more research about the car and the dealership on my end I booked a test drive. Tara helped me through the process of getting my Corolla inspected for a trade in, as well as answering any and all questions I had about the car and its history during and after the test drive. Unfortunately since I was from out of state I couldn't do a pre-purchase inspection from my trusted mechanic since I'm too far, but they were willing to let me find a local mechanic instead if I was interested to do so. I took the risk as the car was Nissan Certified and also had everything I was looking for, so I decided to pull the trigger. They worked with me on my trade in value and getting me a rate that was better than what my bank offered and were extremely helpful the whole way through, and even worked with me through some personal complications on my trade in that eventually got solved. I did take the car in for a post purchase inspection, and besides the general fluid changes the car had no major issues except one. My mechanics found one issue that actually caused the car to fail VA inspection. HOWEVER, I contacted the dealership about this and expressed how I was assured multiple times in the buying process that it passed MD safety inspection, it should pass in VA and so I asked if the dealership would be willing to fix the part that caused the car to fail on their dime (bad tie rod, a recalled part the dealership already replaced only a couple months ago). After some back and forth of sharing details and information between my mechanics and the dealership, they offered to take a look at the car to confirm there was an issue. We scheduled service and sure enough there was an issue with the tie rod like my mechanics said, but luckily it was still under part warranty from the last service and was covered. They also discovered the real issue for the failure was the electronic rack, and so the dealership has promised to cover not only the tie rod but also the new rack, as well as labor costs for this job. And without me even asking, they set me up with a rental car because it would take a some time before the car could be fixed as the parts needed are on back order. All in all, I felt extremely well taken care of here throughout the entirety of the buying process and with their service department. I love the new car and I can't wait to drive it out of there when its fixed! Not impressed. Def looking to not be my dealership for life. Quoted me to install coilovers and when I get there to have them INSTALLED they say oh we only quoted you to do the front. What, that makes no sense, why would I only do the front plus a 4 wheel alignment. Once my travel plans runs out I won't go back. Might even just stop now. I believe I deserve a refund. Just take out what I used so far out of what I paid for the plan and give me the rest!! Every time I go there they give me some excuse about the car. Their service center does nothing but lie and cheat their customers. I purchased a Nissan Vehicle in 2015. At that time I also purchased a 10 year extended bumper to bumper warranty. I have only attempted to use the warranty one time in 8 years but instead of covering the cost of a single wire repair the service center lied about the cause of the wire damage so that it would not be covered under the warranty. Then a few days later I get a letter in the mail saying they will no longer be able to honor my extended warranty at the cost I paid when I purchased my vehicle but that they would offer me another extended warranty for an extra 500 dollars a year. Then on top of that they also tried to tell me my brakes had to be replaced immediately but I took my car to another reputable mechanic and they said the brakes are no where near needing to be replaced. I will not use their service center again. They cannot be trusted! read more

3 minutes ago I took my wifes new Nissan Rogue here for a oil change and that's it they ask three times if I wanted a tire rotation I clearly tell them No! Because I don't trust them using air tools to remove and put on lugs with the wrong socket. But they do it any ways leaving my wheels scored and chipped. I know they rotated my tires because my front tire had a plug it magically moved to the rear and my tire rotation light was reset. I notice this and the damage the left on all my wheels inform them and they said they didn't do it because it wasn't on their paper I said no sh*t because I said three times not to do it so it wouldn't be on paper. I get the managers number leave voice mail after voice mail no reply. So I'm left with damaged wheels that wasn't there when I dropped my NEW car off. I will never take any vehicle here again and I'm informing all other as well. read more

First delaer ive ever seen that they did not let me test drive the car that I am going to buy! First dealer i've ever seen that sell the car for the price of MSRP with zero discount! I've been coming here for a few years. The service has always been friendly. The only comment I'd like to pass on is that the express service is anything but express. I'm not usually pressed for time so it doesn't bother me but you should be aware of this if you are in a hurry. They get busy. I've been sitting for an hour and a half now and they still aren't done with my oil change and tire rotation. I've even come on a Saturday morning and waited in line for them to open and even if I'm the 3rd or 4th vehicle in I still wait at least an hour. Again, not a big deal for me because I don't come if I'm in a hurry. Just keep the time it takes to complete the oil change in mind and plan accordingly. Just stopped by to look at the new Pathfinder. Kara met us in the parking lot, asked us some preliminary questions, and showed us a bunch of options.She answered all of our questions and was absolutely wonderful. We went on a test drive and then sat down and were presented with all of our financing options. Easy and fun experience. We took a tour of the facility and then were able to talk through other service options for our new vehicle. Good offer for trade in, and good incentives at the end of the year. Worked with Will on all of our financing (lots of options, great rates too) and took our new vehicle home in a couple hours. We would definitely come back here for our next vehicle! WORST WORST WORST... "SERVICE" department. the first time I had my oil changed I was in and out in an hour-that was "Express" (aka, walk-in). Must be those 1st timers they want to impress.... after that... SOL. Second time around, it was an ambiguous 2 hour wait, I had to be there for the car to be worked on, there was a line of 5-6 cars ahead of me- no one was being turned away. and so I decided to come back when it wasn't so busy... which, apparently is a joke. Next time I could get back was about a month later for the oil change (Express, again) and was greeted at my car in front of service by a "host" I guess you can say, he looked neither like he was part of the service team, nor exuded any sort of knowledge on when I could be serviced, just that it was what seems to be his patent answer of 2 hours!!! (WHAT ARE THEY DOING BACK THERE!!! ) ... and he states in the same blah blah blah that they will be CLOSED IN 2 hours!!! oH, So basically - we're not helping you today would have been the honest answer... this time, there was ONE lady pulling out her car - no one else was waiting, maybe ONE OTHER car in the service drive thru (I caught up to the lady pulling out to ask a CUSTOMER how the heck does one get serviced here????).... She stated, go online, she had dropped hers off the night before. So I went home and went online and set up an appt. it asks whether you want to be called or emailed for verification... I said phoned... I wind up calling the dealership to verify my appointment that I set up online and to verify since I had NO RETURN CALL... she states, I do not have you in the system, and we're all booked up this week".... what??? it's not even MONDAY and you're all booked up and I need an oil change like a month ago... NOw I make an appointment with her. I have my husband bring in the car Monday morning at 10:30a... my car is not even brought to service until close to ONE O'CLOCK!!! AND THE GUY TELLS MY HUSBAND, so sorry we were 2 hours behind on EXPRESS!! LOOK, WE MADE AN APPOINTMENT... if you make one youre screwed if YOU WALK IN then they tell you WE ARE BACKED UP WITH THOSE THAT MADE APPOINTMENTS... !!! AGAIN who the heck is in charge of that !??? AND, they almost didn't take my car over 2hours later!! because they told my husband we STOPPED TAKING APPOINTMENTS- I AM AN APPOINTMENT!!! I specifically asked if there was a check done on the car (like when you bring it in for an oil change), I was told yes and advised the used car I purchased needed breaks, rotors, and tires. When I brought it back in for the first oil change and tire rotation I was given a list of things wrong. With parts and labor I was looking at over $1200 to fix. I made an 11:00 appointment for a simple tire rotation and oil change. At 12:15, I asked the status of my car. I was told it still hasn't been in, but I was next. "A lot of cars came in before you," were the service advisor's exact words. So what? The entire point of me making an appointment was to not have to sit and wait all day long. I bought my Nissan Quest BRAND NEW in 2013. This vehicle has been in the shop several times for antifreeze smell and they attempted to fix it. Several times later I still have the smell and , Nissan of North America is not willing to fix the problem either. Both Hamilton and Nissan tell me nothings wrong with the car. But.... do tell me this is a normal smell for Nissan Vehicles, and they give me a bulletin from Nissan saying so. This is a health issues and an environmental issue! Its making me sick and everyone else! This is now causing me issues with the asthma. I so disappointed in both Hamilton and Nissan , I will never buy another car from Hamilton and will never ever buy another Nissan as along as I live. I did not have a very good customer service experience. I went to check out a used vehicle - way overpriced. I had to wait about 30 minutes to test drive. My sales person was alright but the service manager Mike did not offer me a good deal on the used vehicle or my trade. In fact he did not work with me at all with the price. Didn't even make it to his office. Only wanted to talk about things wrong with my vehicle and not the one I was looking to purchase. Drove a hour and a half to this dealer with a pre-approval letter for over $20,000 for a used car only worth $10,000! Test drove the car and was ready to purchase. The salesman wanted to run my credit! Told me he had to run my credit and basically my pre approval letter from Bank of America wasn't any good! Wanted me to finance with his lenders and put down $3,000! Zero star rating! Poor service! Poor quality in handling business. Stay Away! They wanted to charge me 989.00 for something that didn't need replaced! They didn't train my transmission fluid, either. Told me it was fine, too! Found out that my fluid was burnt! I gave Marie and Hamilton Nissan a 5 star rating because they gave 5 star service! Marie was very low-pressure, friendly, efficient, and a lot of fun to be around! The finance guy Ron was also very pleasurable to work with, he had everything loaded and ready to be signed the minute we got into the finance office. It was such a pleasant car buying experience I can not wait to go back and visit them for service(which is included in their lifetime engine guarantee!!) Did I mention the amazing deal I got on the car? Compared to other vehicles with similar mileage and equipment I paid $3,000 less and the vehicle is in pristine condition! They also gave me a LOT for my trade in! The dealership is super clean and everyone looked like they were having a fun time!
