Thankfully, I was correct - this store was infinitely better! Lots of bargains to be had. Lots of things that look like bargains but the packaging or quantity is just smaller. You have to be sharp wandering the aisles but that's what makes it fun. They have brand names and generics. The best part is that the stuff you do ostensibly recognize is slightly...off. Like it's a flavor that you haven't seen here in the states but you know the item. Check out the picture of my haul, por ejemplo. We all know Manwich tomato sauce in the can but have you ever heard of BBQ Bourbon flavor?? Well they have it in Mexico and it has made its way to Trenton. Also my apple fritters were in a container labeled pumpkin donuts lololol. If you can get past the idiosyncrasies, you'll enjoy it here and save money!

The ground coffee and espresso aisle is by far the best of any market in the area, with a variety of Cuban-American, Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Colombian brands. There are always deals and specials going on for coffee. The produce section is another highlight. This is only of the few places in the area that you'll find good quality platanos, yuca/cassava, and any kind of tropical fruit. The slight downsides are that the prices are often slightly higher than a regular supermarket, and there never seem to be enough cashiers working.

That way staff can focus on stocking and not chasing carts in the parking lot. They offer some organic produce and several gluten free products. The stock is rotated quickly due to high volume sales, so things are usual fresh and within best by date. Produce can sometimes be handled roughly causing bruising. Pick carefully when you select those items. There are seasonal and limited quantity sale items available throughout the year. Pay attention the the red labeled items as they are "here now, gone tomorrow" and may never be in stock again. So if you like something with a red label, stock up on it while you can. Great way to save money and cut costs on food, some personal care items, and cleaning products!
