Because of the holiday, the place wasn't that crowded.  Lots of folks going in and out of doors, so there were quite a few flies inside. We were seated immediately and given our card to post when we were ready to order. As noted in other yelp reviews, there wasn't a real clear explanation given about the posting of the "we're ready to order card," but we figured out that it goes in the small metal holder on top of the paper towel stand on the table.  Cudos for the perforated paper towels, we've been to other similar restaurants where the paper towels are not perforated, making it very difficult to tear off a sheet or two. We stopped two different servers to ask questions about several items on the menu before we ordered, both were generally unaware of how food was being prepared and put together in the kitchen.  What is sofrito rice?  "Uh, it's red rice, I don't know what's in it."  What are myacoba refried beans?  "Uh, beans that are mashed up."  You get the picture... Ultimately, we were able to order food and a flight of beers.  We ordered the brisket tacos and the flauta basket (electing to have 4 of the chicken flautas).  The food was excellent, ingredients very fresh, flavor profiles well developed, a little bit of heat in everything.  The brisket tacos were probably some of the best we've ever had!  The flautas were just downright decadent.  Rolled tortillas, deep fried, topped with charred jalapeno avocado salsa, pico de gallo, crema and cotija cheese.  Delicious! For our beer flight, we sampled each of the wild craft beers (ingredients foraged from the property and put in the beer) and the red pale ale.  I must say the wild craft beers were different, we liked the nope ale the best, it was almost like a rose wine.  The red pale ale was very good. Bottom Line:  service, average;  food, excellent;  beer, just OK.  We did not have a "gotta go back there" experience at Beerburg Brewing.

The food was very affordable and didn't stand out, but for the value, it was standard (price met the food expectation). I highly recommend ordering the Gold Buckle - bourbon barrel aged red blend and to skip the cider.

Our party of two spent a couple of hours in the shady outdoor seating area, where we and quite a few others enjoyed perfect temperatures and some interesting wines. We chose to share a sampling of 6 different wines, some locally produced by Westcave and others bottled elsewhere. We ordered a Salumi board (similar to a charcuterie plate). It included several cheeses, 2 meat varieties, pickled red onions, beets, a bit of cucumber, grapes, and dates. This was not really as described in the menu, nor was there an assortment of crackers. The few water crackers that were included on a separate plate were stale and soggy, and we should have sent them back. But there appeared to be only 2 people running the show that day, so we were mindful of the situation and more tolerant. The location of this winery is lovely. We saw cows, a calf, and a longhorn in addition to sheep. The building looks new and is nice inside, and those working there are friendly. The vineyards did not appear to be well tended. I wish I could rate this place higher, and I am hoping for improvements over time.

But after our guest list grew, we had to move locations and our venue was no longer within their catering vicinity. I searched high and low for different vendors that fit the fusion that we wanted, but couldn't find anything that fit just right (or that didn't break the bank). Then I somehow stumbled across Rebel Catering on Google. They had a wide variety of packages for food varying from Asian, to bbq, to Mexican. They didn't have a ton of reviews, and it seemed like they mostly did corporate events, but I gave them a call. I'll be honest, I was a bit apprehensive of how incredibly chill Rahul is at first (because I was already stressed out), but when I told him about our vision, he immediately checked with his chefs and created an incredible menu for us. My mom and mother in law's primary request was copycats of the other restaurant's corn fritters, and he even delivered on that. I'll attach a picture of the menu, but our minds were blown at the quality and freshness of the food. Buffet style brisket is HARD and he and his team crushed it. I even had friends with allergies and he accommodated them without question. The most popular part of the night though was the shaved ice. Part of Rebel Catering is their shaved ice package with alcoholic shaved ice (TABC bartender included). They had custom flavors to match our Asian fusion theme, and even brought their truck in to serve our guests! They also created a custom flavor named after our cat and created a sign with a cute cartoon of him. They also had tons of other drinks including sodas, jelly drinks, boba drinks, and energy drinks. TLDR: HIRE REBEL CATERING. Your guests will love you forever.
