Chips are fresh cut fries and the fish is battered well- not oily and super crispy. We got to chat with our waitress who told us they're pretty particular with the fish they bring into the store and after eating it i believe it. We also had some leftover to take home. I need to try the Orange roughy one of these days when they have it in, because it's not everyday you see that as an option. Would definitely recommend checking this place out!

It was decent, though the slightly spicy cocktail sauce did not really go with it. There was quite a bit of "shrimp" (i.e. reformed shrimp patty with a shrimp tail stuck in). Both dishes came with a small serving (sauce container) of coleslaw. It was decent - crisp & tasty, though a touch sharp.

Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference between this and halibut which is saying a lot about fish and chips. When my food was done, I saw the cook ( a lady ) and it was the same one from my previous visits a long time ago. Oh boy, I hope they don't change as the lady cook is a keeper! I know that this place was up for sale a while back and that is why I was hesitant to come here recently. I said ok no problem Upon my food arriving it was pretty small ( look at pic). And I would have given a 1 star review But I must say the halibut (even though miniature in size) was actually crispy and flavourful and even though I didn't take a picture, the fish was pretty thick. Therefore my reason for 3 stars. Also, the fries were not quite right for a fish and chips shoppe. Either they were frozen or they were re-cooked for too long and they were hard, bland and tasteless. I will still keep my review at 3 stars. But I don't think I'll be back anytime soon. Sorry, hope they can do better for other patrons.

I have been to this plaza a few times over the years. I've been to the Tim Hortons a handful of times. I was at Mom's Pan-fried Buns a few months ago, which is a couple of businesses down from The Big Catch. This plaza has lots of parking. I pulled into a parking spot and walked in. I was immediately greeted by a friendly, efficient woman. I got halibut and chips as my main meal. I paid for a can of Diet Coke with a credit card. Tap. Done! I found a table. I caught up with some photos on my phone. It didn't take long for my food to arrive. I had to ask for my Diet Coke. She was running the entire fry-seating show, so I was patient. I finally got my drink. Yay! The halibut was a decent portion. I got a lot of fries. My meal came with a lemon slice and tartar sauce. There was also a bottle of ketchup on the table. I loved the halibut. The batter was light and crispy. The fish was flaky and yummy. I loved dunking my halibut in the tartar sauce that tasted homemade. The fries were good. Just too many of them for my liking. I dunked them in both ketchup and tartar sauce. My Diet Coke helped wash everything down. Thank goodness I got one. It was cold. I got a straw. The woman was great. She asked how my meal was while I was dining. It was a nice touch. I had to use the washroom twice. I came into the eatery after driving for 1.5 hours from Mississauga and downing a beverage. It's a single stall for everyone. It was clean, but dated. I used it again before I headed home. It's funny that I had washroom in mind when I got here that I completely forgot to grab some change to leave a tip. I went back to my car to get some, came back into the eatery, and let the woman know that I was back to give a tip. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I ordered fish and chips and spring rolls. The fish and chips were very yummy can't complain at all…read more- couldn't ask for more they did a great job on my order. The spring rolls were a little different then the usual common veggie spring rolls but were still good, however not my favorite filling. I would still come back everyone has Thier own recipe and I still enjoyed them. Oh and don't forget to try the spiral potato!! So good!!
