The employees were very kind and professional. There was a sense of great peace here. They have pulled pork sandwiches and ribs. We didn't get anything to eat but it smelled delicious. They sold fresh vegetables and fruit, jams, sweet and salted pecans. They had a little gift shop. They also had different types of vehicles to look at, such as an airplane, a helicopter, farm vehicles and cars. The bathrooms were very clean. The farm stand was very eclectic. I saw this place while drive to the local KOA Campground in Forsyth, there was no doubt that I'd be driving back a few miles to enjoy this, what I'd call a "Roadside Oddity". This family ran business is fun and filled with old farm equipment, classic cars, goats, pigs, chickens and stuff you may never have seen before, at least not on one piece of property. The family (staff) here are all engaged in the business a few tending the store and bbq pit, a few behind push mowers keeping the grass at bay and an old man on a old tractor dragging a box-blade across the gravel road and dirt drives. This is a self-guided tour so there's no rush here and there's plenty of shade and seats scattered around the properly to rest your bones. We had just eaten lunch prior to arriving so we didn't get a chance to taste the ribs, pulled pork sandwiches or boiled peanuts but did check out the produce and grabbed a few fresh Georgia Peach to take back to the camper - ripe, sweet and juicy. If you're northbound on I-75 this might be the perfect spot to grab a cold drink and stretch your legs I couldn't imagine a better place to take a driving break... read more

This low-key adorable little shop conveniently located just off the highway approaching Atlanta airport. I found them looking for barbecue ribs one evening on my drive home. This is a family run business with all hands on deck. The family includes a very sweet couple that owns this place and they had their kids with them who were playing like they were cashiers. Adorable family. The food was just phenomenal. I got the BBQ rib plate with two sides. The portion was huge and the sauce was perfectly spicy. I had to grab and go but they had some cute repurposed buildings to sit down and eat. They also had a small farm store with home-made jellies and other unique options. I highly recommend them and I hope them so much success. read more

The owner was super sweet and even wrote down my pear relish request for new ideas to stock. Try the bear jam! I didn't realize they had a corn maze and photo ops w helicopters. I'll have to bring my girls next time. I grabbed a pound of their sauces pulled pork on my way out to make my Brunswick stew everyone's been wanting now that's cooler weather. This is a really fun quirky spot. We were on a road trip and always look for good spots for the kids to play a little and stretch their legs. Checked out the pigs, goats, and got some BBQ. So many interesting things to check out from the plane, to the farm equipment, to the mammoth teeth. The patio is a great hang even on a hot day and there's a little dining room if you want AC. Stopped after seeing the plane and helicopter many times riding in I-75 N. We didn't know they had BBQ. Had a nice lunch there. Potions for sides were larger than expected. Sandwich was smaller than expected. Baked beans were good, Mac and Cheese were just average. Pulled pork had some sort of vinegar type sauce. It would have been better to not put a sauce and allow customers to choose their own sauce. Friendly staff, lots for young ones to look at/ do while there. Nice gift shop. Whole place is rustic. We'll stop again on another day to get our final recommendation. read more

This farm stop is just off the freeway, but a little bit of a fun stop. Lots of vintage farm machines, vehicles and more, with a nice gift shop with jams and dressings inside. We needed to meet someone at a halfway point, and chose Hamlin Farms for the good reviews of their BBQ though. Those reviews weren't wrong. The place is fun and interesting, but the BBQ is legit. I got the brisket sandwich with mac 'n' cheese and baked beans. Dear Husband got the pulled pork and the same sides. Both plates came with a drink and a bonus side of slaw. The meat was smokey and tender, with sauce on the side. The sides were all wonderful. I don't even like cole slaw, but I ate nearly all of mine. The flavors were all balanced leaning more toward savory, which is a nice change from all the sugary sweet flavors one tends to get in most bbq restaurants. We wrapped up with a peach cobbler fresh out of the oven. "Delish!" I suspect it was topped with a biscuit dough. Again, not too sweet, but the peaches were lovely. The staff were all really pleasant and accommodating as well. We'll definitely stop in again when we're in the area. read more

7/9 I liked the old equipment outside but there really isn't an "inside", it's just an open air barn with a few selections of peaches. We spent $10 on a small basket of peaches. The guy behind the counter had little to no personality and the place smelled bad. I can't even describe the smell but it was pretty vile. The peaches were good but we went to Lane Orchards, too, and got a huge bag for $3. If you're looking solely for peaches, keep driving and save yourself some money. read more

What an unexpected sweet little stop of true southern hospitality. After missing the exit for the James and the Giant Peach Stand, we made a swift departure from our route after seeing the billboard for the ice cream, jams, fireworks, and wine of Hamlin Hills. We were welcomed immediately, and while the ice cream machine was broken, I sampled jams and pickles and even some very potent "appleshine", before leaving arms laden with a jar of hot pickles, some slushies, and a huge bag of FREE vegetables. ("Take as much as you want! Grab some for your neighbors!") With classic cars, and a cute working carousel rounding out the experience, this was a terrific end to a last minute family weekend getaway. read more

This was ok. I just got a sandwich to go and was surprised to learn, miles down the road, that there was no sauce, just meat and bun. I'm not a bbq purist who doesn't use sauce, but since I had no choice... the meat alone was ok. I wouldn't go back. The drive thru concept and decor was interesting and the employees were nice. Seen this place sev times as we travel up and down 75. We appreciate good cue and stooped to try it out. Note: this is an open air barn w a nice breeze but no AC and no walls. If it's raining, might not be ur best choice. Cue had nice flavor and a sandwich, chips and canned drink was $5. The nicest college age people took our order. But all in all, we prob wouldn't return. Meat was not hot, slaw and beans were just okay. Cute place though. We couldn't believe they don't offer iced tea. Hard to enjoy cue wo tea! read more

We stopped on Sunday 27 May 18 and ordered 1 rack of ribs, Brunswick stew and coleslaw. The ribs were burnt... No flavor when you did find meat. The Brunswick stew tasted like ketchup and no taste in the slaw. I would not recommend this place to anyone... read more

Must stop I-75 North (22 miles north of Macon GA) and exit 185. You must stop by for bar-b-que'd brisket, homemade sausage, and ribs. You can order a sandwich with homemade bar-b-que sauce and/or a vinegar dousing sauce, both are delicious. While you wait browse through the litte shop filled with jams, jellies, preserves, relishes, and what-nots. My favorites the brisket, homemade sausage, and peach preserves. read more
