Got the Vinnie's Italian sandwich- no salami and it was impeccable! Large portion for a good price and it came with a hi chew candy/ how cute! My friend got a coffee and she said it was also pretty good for a standard latte. The bread and sandwich fillings were ample and I will say I will be back!

Deli in a very nice location!

Small mom and pops deli and market right off Eastlake Ave in a convenient location. Pop in for a quick sandwich (they've got many options) or a coffee or a bag of chips. The sandwiches are great and the owner is very nice! I came by as a part of my Eastlake Escapade (see Other section for description of what that is. Food I got the Eastlake club sandwich and it left me wanting to come back to try the other sandwiches! The have the Boar's Head meat sandwich sign outside so that is what I guess they use. A common chain deli meat provider for the Seattle area I believe and it's still good. The vegetables they used were fresh. The bread was soft on the inside and I appreciated that the sandwich wasn't all bread. They even throw in a pickle on the side! There's a wide variety of chips and snacks up can also pick up to compliment your sandwich. Atmosphere Nothing fancy at all. Just a deli and small market you can quickly pop in and out of for whatever food or drink needs you might have. The surrounding area of this deli is very nice though. Just walk down the hill and you'll find a picnic bench on the edge of Lake Union that overlooks the lake and Gas Works park!!! Perfect for a summer day! Pricing Average pricing for sandwich from a deli. Service The owner works alongside some staff and everyone here is very friendly! It's what makes me come back. Other Ample street parking so you can pop in quick. Some seating right outside. Or if you walk down Hamlin street there's a picnic bench right on Lake Union with a beautiful view of the lake and Gas Works park. My Eastlake Escapade refers to my food adventures that I go on during my lunch break since I work in the area.

We only stopped by during a stroll through Eastlake to quench our thirst. Bought a couple drinks so not much else to add. They didn't have the specific drinks we were looking for but had some reasonable alternatives. Also, the young guy working the counter was very nice and personable.

Their bagels are fabulous as is their lox. For those, like me, who can unhinge their jaw for an authentic pastrami or corned beef masterpiece. Go with the "Ding sized" sandwich. They'll make a smaller Seattle sized version as well for those who don't treat deli as an indulgence of rye and meat piled high. I wish they'd add kreplach to the menu (sorry Vance. I know my litany is old!) but I keep discovering new deliciousness here even after being a regular for nearly 4 years since my recovery from a life threatening illness, that I recovered from in part due to making regular stops here during my post surgical recovery. Just today I had the blintzes for the first time with their in house made cherry compote and sour cream. Amazing. Keep up the amazing work!!! My recommendation for newbies. Get the pastrami on marbled rye with gribenes and mustard. If you're feeling extra indulgent ask for a schmear of chopped liver, if you're keen on said. You won't regret it!

Bonus: this spot is kosher! Potato Latkes (5/5): These latkes are thick boys and fried up so they're piping hot when they hit the table. Because of their size, you really get the contrast of the hard crunch on the outside with super fluffy potato inside. So good we immediately turned around and ordered more. Chocolate Babka (2/5): This was truly the only miss I've had here. Unfortunately, the babka just really dries out after it's been sliced, which is a shame because it's just gorgeous with generous swirls of chocolate inside. Reuben (5/5): I really thought their pastrami couldn't be beat, but the brisket is dare I say better? Just as tender and feels a bit less fatty, so it's a little more crushable. Tip: go for the seeded rye over the marbled rye; something about the marbled rye just falls apart a bit more with the juices of the meat, though it's still delicious! Black & White Cookies (4/5): I expected this to be cloyingly sweet, but this was actually scrumptious with some fresh lemon flavor in the cookie itself. Absolutely massive as well.
